I agree! Check out the rest of her work, it's phenomenal. There are some more just like this, but with other characters. lauren-oh.deviantart.com/gallery/
Theory: Mace Tyrell is marching to Storm's End. He never would have left Margaery alone to Face the Faith. I have to assume that she made it safely through her trial.
Remember that there are many people of power and influence in King's Landing, they might have ordered him to do it in exchange for something. Mace is not that clever.
Thanks for posting these chapters. They are very well read and acted. I've been an avid reader for years, and there are authors that are game-changers for me. About 10 yrs ago, GRRM was the last and the biggest. I love these stories. I can't wait for WOW... much more than the next season on HBO. These are the real stories. So many interesting characters and so interestingly told. Thanks again and bravo
This year? I wish I had your optimism. Last update I saw said November 2023....fml. Wish the entire SOIAF/GOT fanbase would boycott the new prequel and any other BS he spends his time on that isn't his last two books. He's not getting younger and is severely overweight. You don't see alot of obese 70+ yr Olds and he's already 73. Chances of him finishing the next book before he dies gets worse every day and he still has one more book to finish. At this rate no way he finishes A dream of spring
@@RyanZomB You are right, he is old and not in the best shape. Now look at it from his perspective. Would you prefer to spend last years of your life doing something you enjoy more or something you enjoy less? It is clear that writing TWOW feels like a job to him, while all the other stuff is what he really enjoys. Hence, given that he has a short while left, he should do what he likes the most, would you not agree? He doesn't owe you shit. And If you won't get to read the last books, you should get over it I guess. Or you can whine about it, it's not like you can change anything. Have a nice one.
@@osmanafandiyev5241 that’d be easy to get behind if a few different things weren’t also true: 1) he commonly brings it up to joke/deflect completely unprompted and promises that he’s really digging in and maybe 1 more year until release (to summarise his older updates for years). 2) he literally promised a complete series in the premise and forewords of the novels from the release of book 1 and the only change has been opting to lengthen the series, which was entirely up to him. 3) many of the projects he’s working on instead of fulfilling a promised series has been random tangential world-building in the universe of ASOIAF. Including a TV series spinning off from the GOT TV series which totally flopped when the writers crashed the series into the ground to jump ship for a star wars deal. 3) considering above it seems like he’s not “too busy” OR focusing on passion projects, but rather he’s shirking the fans because he already hit the jackpot off GOT and can just make coffee table books as merchandise and help write and produce on TV shows. If you consider all the above as literally recounting what’s happened so far, it becomes clear there was SOME level of moral obligation to finish writing the collection that actually made him famous, even though we can’t help him that much again because he’s already a household name. If the show didn’t blow up with HBO I believe he’d be much closer to finishing, and we might have the world book OR fire and blood, but not 2 volumes of that and def not both books. So yeah in that way of course he can do whatever he wants, but no point pretending it wasn’t a dick move.
When is there a new narration Patrick? Even if older chapters of the tome, it would be so great to hear your representations ASOIAF... Thanks for your work!
He doesn’t know anything about the boy, and he wouldn’t want him to marry a bastard. What will almost certainly happen is Arianne will seduce Young Griff and convince him to marry her. How? Once he tells her the Golden Company plan (taking Westeros in order to prompt Dany to come support him with her dragons), she will tell Young Griff about her father’s secret marriage pact, which will mean they will assume Quentyn will successfully have married Dany, ruining Young Griff’s plans to marry her. So Arianne will convince him to forget Dany and marry her instead, which will bind Dorne to the cause. She will also convince him to take Kings Landing and the throne before Dany arrives. Because if Dany is already married to Quentyn, there’s no chance of her sharing the throne with Young Griff. She will plant suspicion and doubt in him, as well as the idea that Dany will never accept his claim. So by the time Dany does get to Westeros, she’ll find the throne occupied, and her claim worthless, which will not make her happy. But the big problem will be the revelation that Quentyn is dead to Doran and Arianne. That’s going to cause Dorne, and Young Griff by extension, to turn against her and treat her as an enemy. After all, she had her dragon kill Quentyn. The truth of how he died will sound like a lie to the Martells. And that will start the new dance of the dragons.
Vibrolux sounds good, except Aegon has no dragons to dance with. I still have the feeling that Aegon will fall for Lady Lance, she has the youth and the spirit and fierceness that he will find intriguing and irresistible. I can imagine the two of then exploring together and growing very attached. I can’t imagine him with Arianne. Even if they do get married, he’ll likely only be ‘fond’ of Arianne, but she’ll never win his heart. Also, don’t forget that the red viper had no legitimate children, but his bastard daughters are still known and accepted and held in high regard, and lastly, remember that a King can remove the taint of bastardity and declare a child legitimate. Wouldn’t it be so much more interesting for Aegon to pass over the easy option and embrace the harder one to follow his heart? Doran Martell is very cunning and no doubt realizes that even a bastard Martell is better than none at all and that sending Elia to accompany Arianne would double his chances of a love match with the young King.
Let me frame this another way: fAegon gains nothing by marrying a bastard. Even if he legitimizes her, she holds no position of power in Dorne, commands no loyalty as an (ex) bastard. Arianne does. Arianne can bring him Dorne, can exploit her new position as Queen AND Doran's heir to command the army, and the lords will largely ignore Doran if he tries to stop them because they will see him as even weaker and afraid of war than he was before for not coming to the aid of his own kin come to claim the throne. Doran will not side his armies with fAegon if he marries his niece. His entire strategy is to wait for Dany's dragons. He says flat out that the Golden Company can't conquer the realm alone, no more than Dorne can. He will insist that they wait. This doesn't happen if Arianne is fAegon's queen instead. It's basically Arianne executing her Myrcella plan, but she crowns herself instead of Myrcella to mobilize the army. As far as dragons, there's a lot that might happen between where Dany is and Westeros. Even if she shows up with all three (unlikely), fAegon is Targaryen blood as well even if he is a Blackfyre. That could be enough for him to take one himself. Even if he DOESN'T, Arianne will likely provide the logic that Dorne defeated Aegon's dragons before, they can do it again with Dany. It's arrogant. It's reckless, but there's so many variables at play that it's hard to say how that might go. But they will absolutely go to war.
A great read, but a feel like GRRM could put the two Arianne chapters in to one, it would be enough to cover the journey to meet Connington. Maybe thats why he didnt finnish the book yet, two much unnecessary things going on.
Couldnt we have got all these sample chapters as actual chapters in the actual books instead of the Brienne/Lady Stoneheart story ? I dont see where that story goes thats interesting. People bang on about the books but the whole of dance with dragons was just a tease. And here we are 11 years later like what the fuck

When I heard Mud speak, all I could think of was a child Forrest Gump 😂 Enjoy all of the readings.
Haha. I may or may not have watched that movie a thousand times growing up....
Wombie Ferguson Such a quality film. Merry Christmas from Australia, too!
Merry Christmas mate!
So like George to not have Connington there to meet Arianne.
I've listened to these narration's so many times. Always enjoy them. Thank you.
Beautifully done! It's good to have these chapters read; you had me there traveling with the dornish!... Thanks for sharing.
Excellent narration! Listening to these chapters is helping me hold on till TWOW is finally released.
Only 10 more years til its released! Can't wait!
Your Arianne voice was really good thank you a lot for this chapter
Awry isn't pronounced AREE but ARAI apart from that another splendid narration!
Woops. Nice catch. No wonder that word seemed so wrong when I listened back.
Wombie your videos are PERFECT!
I did not know there were weirwoods in the stormlands! Interesting
I'm SO ready 4 TWOW 2 drop this year, especially after the disappointing way the show treated my Dragon Queen. Great read.
