Just for note. It's easy to understand and measured if you make one iem as a benchmark. Like this iem technical can be place in middle of chu 2 and ew200 or something else. So viewer can take note what your iem benchmark for every price tag. Because some iem can be more detail than its price tag like plannar iem👍🏼
@@AudioAmigoReviewsI also think that could help a lot, but please, pick clear levels of performance, as recently Gizaudio changed host, the "Benchmark" iems he use are all over the place, like a $20 or $30 iem then he just jumps to like a $80 iem or so then to like a $150 and there is a clear level of performance between $20-35, to $50-60, to $70-90 to $110-120, to $150 and so on, having an iem placing between, a $20 iem and a $90 iem doesnt clarify much in my opinion.
The budget market is pretty impressive, even if the accessories can be a bit hit or miss. I have a row of cases I have purchased. That cable reminds me of the one on the TANGZU x HBB XuanNv.
Thanks for the reviews! It's one of the few ways I can keep up with budget releases, as I don't want to end up churning a billion IEMs just to try them! I also appreciate the helpful comments you make on Reddit! More expensive IEM reviews towards mid-range/kilobuck would be fun, but it's definitely expensive. Do you buy sets secondhand?
@@heloiamerk I’d say a good 40% of my current collection is pre-owned or used. If you check our u/AVexchange I’m on there shopping quite a bit. :) I do have some higher dollar sets coming. So keep an eye out for those. :)

@@renatobdc I typically only bring it up if there’s a big difference, but I should have mentioned it here. I feel like the drivers in all 4: Z300,Zero2,Nuo, and Vivace are all of similar quality and technical performance. I’ll mention it next time. :)
I already have the Z300 and Zero 2. It doesn't sound like this set takes any significant steps towards what I'd consider to be an improvement over those and the bland appearance doesn't make them more compelling for me. I think I'll give these a skip but they seem like another competitive option for someone that might like that flavor of tuning more. Thank you for another great review! 👍

@@m_yy_m my backlog grew a ton while I was gone. I’ve only done my “first impressions” Of the two, I prefer the relentless. They’re both V-shaped but I wrote in my notes that the Phoenixcall has what sounds like a sub-bass roll off and kinda wonky vocals.

You know I was waiting for you to say something about KZ cables. 😁 But seriously, I really like that Tripowin cable. From looking at it, I might like it more than the Truthear cable. I would have to get one in my hand. It's Tripowin, I like their replacement cables, so I have an expectation and they absolutely came to play. If KZ used those cables, even if on their sets $50 and above, it would be a major upgrade.
@AudioAmigoReviews Recalcitrant... 🙃 I would have also accepted intractable. If you ever get a colab offer with KZ, I strongly suggest this Tripowin cable to be used. How do you like this cable on the Vivace in comparison to the Truthear? I find the Truthear cable a little on the thin side. It'snot as thin as on the Kbear KS1, I'm afraid if that gets snagged, it'll snap.
@ I straight up prefer this Tripowin cable compared to the Truthear one. Only issue is that this one has slightly more memory to it than the Truthear one. And this one comes attached to a more expensive IEM haha. No idea if I’ll ever have a collab. But it’s fun to think about what companies would reach out first.
@@AudioAmigoReviews It's too bad that Tripowin is 2-pin... or should I say that KZ isn't? I'm curious about that PRX with that Tripowin cable. 🤔 I was wondering if a mod could be made with tubing that would facilitate a 2-pin to QDC. To work like a coupler. Maybe the tubing from a foam tip, perhaps one that would fit the CCA CRA's tip, it's pretty small.
Hi omar are u reviewing the new dunu kima 2? Other reviewers always say buy the new dunu models bcoz of the accessories included and nothing to rave about. Hey! Im looking at the hydro for jpop abd female vocals, can you tell me if they pair well with it and also if it sounds really spicy in treble like other kz and cca iems, for refrence ill be upgrading from a waner sg
I honestly don't remember. I heard the hydro only for a little bit with a friend and I don't remember too much about it. Looking at my notes, I didn't write down anything about the treble being piercing or fatiguing. I think you should be ok. Flipping the first 2 switches makes the sub-bass deeper and the 3rd and 4th switches ups the treble, so maybe leave those alone.
