    how many surface area (mm2) does one 23mm brush could do?

    • @MontiGermany
      @MontiGermany  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Falken Vir,
      we roughly estimate one belt to last for about 1 - 1.5 m2, depending on the material, shape of the surface, grade of corrosion, type of coating etc.
      On some applications such as e.g. surface preparation on not coated plain weld seams or construction steel, even 3 m2 treated by one Bristle Blaster® Belt has been experienced.

      @MontiGermany  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear E 34,
      thank you for your interest in our technology. You can use the BristleBlaster® to remove paint from alloy wheels. However the tool might be too aggressive for that.
      We have another tool on offer that would most likely suit better in this case: Our MBX®.
      We also offer different belts for different kinds of surfaces in set with it. To gain a better insight, please visit our website: www.monti.de/en/products/mbx
      Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact us directly, we’ll be glad to help you.

      Dear Water Tower Hawk,
      thank you for your comment.
      It was proved by independent researchers that with our tool Bristle Blaster® you can achieve visual cleanliness compared to SSPC-SP 10 (a near-white metal).

      SP 11 is power tool cleaning to bare metal and calls for a 1.0 mil profile as well as removal of all surface staining. SP 10 deals only with cleanliness and allows up to 5% rust staining; they really are not interchangeable. I'm a NACE III inspector and having used this tool, I agree it produces a near white surface cleanliness. As a coating manufacturer, the shape of this profile is not the same as open blasting and the pull off adhesion obtained when using ASTM D4541 is not the same as open blasting. It is close and an excellent alternative when blasting isn't permissible. I routinely recommend this tool.

      @@StormGod29 is chemical methods the best?

    • @StormGod29
      @StormGod29 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@snorttroll4379 no, abrasive blasting remains the best method. You must use a suitably hard grit and suitably high flow rates/pressures to ensure at least a 3.0 mil angular profile as measured by profile replica tape. Chemical methods can only expose an already produced surface profile such as stripping the paint off of a previously blasted and painted tank.
