Hi, The profile is typically created during the surface blasting process. Please ensure you are conducting a measurement on an appropriate surface which has been prepared as per manufacturer recommendations. If you have any more questions, please get in touch at support@elometer.com
Thanks for your useful information.and some information i want to clarify with you, 1. why we want to decrease 50 micron from actual reading ? 2. In different replica tape we want to decrease 50 micron or more value?
Thank you for your comment. We take 50 microns from the reading to compensate for the 50 micron mylar backing of the replica tape. As for different manufacturers of replica tape, this is entirely dependent on how thick the manufacturers have made the mylar backing. If you have any further questions, please contact techsales@elcometer.com or visit www.elcometer.com/contact-us to find your local Elcometer distributor.
Thank you for your comment. We'd recommend you use a damped micrometer such as the Elcometer 124 which is designed not to crush the results of the tape when measuring. For more information please contact techsales@elcometer.com or visit www.elcometer.com/contact-us to find your local Elcometer distributor.
Hi, Thank you for your comment. You can apply a value on the analogue dial of -50 microns to offset the average thickness of the mylar film used on the Testex tape. If you have any further questions, please get in touch at support@elcometer.com
What is the solution if we get more profile measurement as mentioned in manufacturer recommendations?
