Kardia demonstration

Dr Micklewright looks at the way in which the Kardia app and device provides medical-grade single lead ECG tracing, meaning it can be used to detect atrial fibrillation (AF). Patients can take their own readings, which are recorded and can be tracked in the app.

This device is awesome and is just now picking up public awareness. I knew lady went into ventricular tachycardia while demonstrating it to the home health nurse when she had episode( vtach. )(deadly heart rhythm.) Her life was saved ems called and paramedic shocked her into normal rate.

I've developed an irregular heart beat. Awaiting referral to the Cardiology department at my local hospital 🏥
I don't have AF though. Does this show other rhythms on the single strip or is this specifically designed to see AF? How much is this the same as a single wave form on the usual ECGs?

My father recently got this app, but he put a password in. He said his doctor is unable to see the results due to the personal password. Could you tell me how to remove the password for him. Thank you for any help

I bought this product, it gives me so many different results in a row, Normal, then possible atrial fibrillation, then normal again. I'm not really sure why...

If you have atrial fibrillation you should be experiencing palpitations, heart fluttering and an increased heart rate. Other symptoms include fatigue, nausea and some weakness. However, the fluttering symptoms (most common symptom of AF) that you experience should match your ECG otherwise you are not having atrial fibrillation, or the device simply can't pick those up and is not working correctly! I am sorry for watching this 6 months after and replying, but my advice would be to talk to your cardiologist so they can monitor your atrial fibrillation using more advanced and sensitive technology than this. I am sorry for replying 6 months after, but I hope this helps! Stay healthy!
