If there is a way to not have the core cut out you could make a fairground food I was making at concession few years ago when new (Chipstix - chips on a stick). Machine we used did the spiral cutting but was set up using a long kebab skewer . slid potato to other end after cutting and took the end of potato then simply curled over end of skewer and pierced to hold. Lightly squeezing and pulling down potato along the skewer it spiraled out. leave enough on the skewer to handle after. Deep fry for about 5-7 minutes - turning half way as you look for golden color. Let cool a little while draining and season with favorite seasoning. We had popcorn seasoning i would guess it was really but rebranded.
Got my stand mixer in June or July and have loved using it. Burning a hole in pocket to get the attachments now. Seeing this has me thinking of one also. Thanks for recipe too.

No, The piece that you spear the potato onto that holds it onto the machine is pretty big in diameter. However.... If you are mechanically inclined I would imagine you'd be able to "mickymouse" some kind of way to keep that potato on while it cuts. I was thinking the same thing when I was making these. Baking is just a bit more healthy. :) I've been thinking of a way to actually fry these up like the Fairs If I can I'll post a vid. Edit: After re watching this, I'm thinking of possibly using a wooden dowel the same diameter of the hole it makes. Mind you I've never done it so not sure if the dowel would burn in the oil. Soak it in water, but water and oil don't like each other very well. Becareful if you attempt this, I'm not responsible if things go wrong :)

Why didn’t she show the potato she cut? This is a totally different potato.
