    Congratulations on your achievement! A professional bike fit will make a world of difference and spare you a lot of pain. I wouldn't go for BCM halfway through a 100km+ ride. Hope you attempt another long distance ride soon.

      @@jadeseahOFFICIAL Its definitely worth it to spend a lil more at first to try out several saddles, before settling on one. As well as having different sized stems to experiment with fit. Not as fancy as deep carbon wheels, but they can make or break a ride. Lookin great, keep it up

    Jade
    A thoroughly enjoyable video. To bonk is to hit the wall. When you bonk, you are riding on memory and your tank is empty. Eating is key to surviving long rides. You mention starving at least twice in the video. Have a very light breakfast before you start, Don’t start on an empty stomach. Carry energy gels in your pocket or in a “bento box”. Eat one every hour or so. They are easily absorbed and will “fuel” you. You will need to learn to eat as you ride. All your stops are for food! Do keep at it. Thank you for making the video. I think we share the same Chinese surname. I am a Chia. As in Sieh Sieh -Thank you in Chinese.
    Thank you Jade Seah!

    • @jadeseahOFFICIAL
      @jadeseahOFFICIAL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hee thanks for the tips! I am terrible at eating food I don't find yummy - and I don't like the gels (used to take them for long runs back in my running days...). But might be time to start stocking up on them again...

      for first time clipping, I would suggest to use spd pedal and shimano SM-SH56 universal release shoe spd cleat set. Set it to loose. universal release means you can release it on many direction (very useful when forgot to upclip / emergency/panic. Need to use MTB shoes as these pedal and cleat set are for meant for MTB.

      Reminded me the last weekend, we saw a MTB cyclist fell while using clipped pedals. He tried his best to look cool with his outfit and expensive mountain bike but failed and scratched his bike.
