  • This was a tough round the island ride with Mr. D. He's young, competitive and an experience endurance runner. The weather in the early part of the ride was cool and we witnessed one of the nicest sunrise in recent months. However we had headwind at TMCR and the scorching sun to add to the suffering. Reached home around 1030am, partially sunburnt but had a lot of fun out of this ride with Mr. D.

    I appreciate every single person who has cycled round the island. Because I tried but managed to reach only 100km or less. The scorching sun was a killer. However, taking nothing away from the cyclists, I realise that different people have different ways of calculation for a round island trip. Meaning they use different routes. Some clock 125km, others up to 140km. But hey, anyone who completes 120km at one go deserves to be applauded.

    Honestly, I'm very pleased by watching overall this video, including the route and speed animation👏👏
    I honestly couldn't imagine to ride a bike 100km++ per day. Honestly, driving driving 100km++ per week with 2 sessions which as roughly 50km per 1 session with avg speed 25 to 30kmh, it's really a hard work to do.

    I'm very pleased to say that I finally completed the round island cycling of 129 km. Solo cyclist. Started in AMK and headed north towards Sembawang. Admiralty, Marsiling, Woodlands, Kranji and anti clockwise. From Lim Chu Kang to Jurong to Pasir Panjang to Marina to East Coast and Changi. There were stretches which was sheer torture. When I reached Sengkang and Punggol and the homestretch, it was pure ecstasy and a huge sense of accomplishment. But I doubt I'll do it again, not any time soon.

      Congratulations on your solo RTI. One more goal accomplished before the end of 2021! The last sentence I heard many times. Everyone say the same about not repeating after doing first 120km, 160km, 200km.. but after a few weeks, the butt gets itchy and they did it again and again 🤣

    • @RideForFitnessSG
      @RideForFitnessSG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Renant, Yes I use a power bank. Pocket 2 batt life is about 2hr max. With power bank I can stretch to > 5hr. However seems my internal battery life deteriorated after I use external power. DJI store personnel told me the same. Im using Anker powerCore speed 10000mAh.

    2:40 how is the Yishun Dam stretch? is it safe for road bikers?

    • @RideForFitnessSG
      @RideForFitnessSG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yishun dam crossing is always risky. Cross wind and close proximity to passing vehicles (2 lanes only). Some cars just like to squeeze through the left lane…
