Alexis Sanchez might honestly be the worst transfer in Premier League history tbh. Signed on a free with extortionate wages, disrupted the wage structure, interrupted Martial's form from the left-hand side & mopped around picking up a fortune. His arrival caused a huge issue that Utd are struggling with now in massive wages for mediocre players. People are quick to say Carroll or Veron but they clawed back a fair bit of the transfer fee for those players. Sanchez has been nothing short of a disaster. Thoughts?
Maybe the worst transfer for United. But not the prem. And remember you only paid his wages and that high wage was reduced because the wage mkhitaryan got Arsenal. So no absolutely NOT a premier league flop more of a succes apart from the career ending clubs like Man U. Hopefully Bruno Fernandes flops as well because he will by playing right wing 😂😂😂
10. Joined the Premier League too late. 9. Awful signing and awful player. 8. Too be fair, he was decent at Southampton in 2016/2017 but fell off the cliff next season. 7. Poor signing in Madrid and Milan but decent at Schalke. 6. Bournemouth got robbed for signing Solanke. Can't score for shit. 5. Ernesto Valverde destroyed him. Coutinho was played our of position at now at Bayern he's doing very well. 4. Injury prone. 3. Joined a big club too early. 2. A shadow of a player after returning to Atletico Madrid and Morata is no better. 1. Arguably the worst Manchester United signing period. Even MKH did poorly at Arsenal.
Yeah, Coutinho is still a fantastic player. Just was a terrible fit for Barcelona. He doesn't really fit the system they were playing at all. Same issues as James Rodriguez for Real Madrid. He's really just a dedicated CAM when very few top sides are using them now. Still great players just nowhere really for them to go to play to their actual ability without being played out of position.
My word Alexis was a flop. I loved him to bits when he played for us but he went to United and has been a flop ever since. I really hope he rediscoveres his old form cos a happy and confident Alexis is a joy to watch
Coutinho currently has like 10 goals and 5 assists in all comps this season and I am quite satisfied with him, only thing what is missing is consistency but it will be better because he learned German, at the end of the season I expect 20 goals and like 15 assists and that's player we can pay 100 million for
Alexis Sanchez is a huge contender but for me it is Denis Suarez.....I just don't remember him ever playing a game! His day one videos on the Arsenal TH-cam channel add up to more minutes than he got on the pitch for Arsenal. A report came out later saying he wasn't even 50% fit but somehow arsenal got him!
It wasn't Coutinho that was the problem, he played in a position that wasn't suited for him and the tactics that Barca play are primarily suited for Messi. You can't have a natural playmaker playing as a winger, it never works
VF Productions to add on.. Coutinho is not as versatile as some players. He wants to play through the middle. Yes he has the ability to play out wide, but he won't be as productive. He is a specialist playmaker and wants to be involved. He isn't fast so he must take control of the game. Pass and move. Looks for opportunities. But don't give him a through ball because that would mean that he needs to run and that someone else is taking control of the game. Let him dictate for the benefit of the team. Look at what he is doing at Bayern and you'll note that he is doing what he did for Liverpool

Decent breakdown, phil a pepe coutinho could still be good at Barca if given an opportunity, a shame really

I completely forgot Sanchez was at Inter now.
Sanchez is the reason United are so reluctant at bringing in “good” players 😂
He was supposed to play for Pep anyway
Sanchez was world class at arsenal
No Utd just make good players into flops look at di Maria Ibrahimovic and now Sanchez
@@gamingfusion419 ibrahimovic was not a flop
@@gamingfusion419 Ibra was hardly a flop at Utd. He scored 17 in 33 appearances. That's decent for anyone let alone a guy who was like 35 at the time.

Maybe United thought they were going to have a repeat of RVP. But it went in completely the opposite direction. Hoping for more of the same.
