I have a 2017 Pathfinder platinum model. It was bought brand new, It has 94,000 on it now. Factory tires lasted about 45,000 miles. We put Toyo AT 3's on at that time. It's the family rig that is great for road trips or grocery getting for a family of 5. It has adaptive cruise control that isn't as good as other vehicles I've had, but it's still a nice to have. It has done way more than it's listed as far as towing. I towed 7500 lbs 800 miles over many West Coast mountain passes. I am confident the tow rating is underrated from nissian. I also towed a travel trailer 100 miles. When I got to the scales near the destination it turns out it weighed 10000 lbs. Not as comfortable towing it as I wish I was . It was a little heavy on the hitch. Causing a little more front end walk than I liked. In all cases towing I have NEVER been disappointed with power.
I have also hit 100+ mph from time to time. It would get a little " floaty" at that speed.
With all of the extra weight for long road trips with the family to the towing I would do, I was, however, disappointed by the rear springs. The rear never sat as high as I would have liked even just with the wife and kids. I hoped for years somebody would make a proper airbag suspension kit for it, and I never saw one. I ultimately bought the rear springs from Dobinsons (C45-423) it claims 1.2" higher with up to 500 lbs in the cargo area. I would agree. The ride stiffness didn't change at all, but the rear sat at a more appropriate height. It has helped with towing as well in regards to keeping the rig more level. It did not make it stiff. In fact, when towing 5000 lbs behind me on a well ballanced load, it feels as if it's not even there. Power, breaks Handling all remIn great.
I was just using it the pathfinder on the beach this past weekend for the 4th of July. Often times people get stuck on the soft beach sand. I didn't have a single problem in locked 4wd. It will lock the front and rear outputs so that you have a 50/50 split front to rear power. It does have open differential in the rear so you could still get the dreaded off balance no power situation but if you can keep at least 3 tires on the ground it goes wherever you point it. Back to the sandy beach. I towed out a fully loaded dodge 1ton work truck that kept getting stuck. It wasn't dead in the water but he wasn't getting out on his own ether.
    Things I wish it had.
1:3rd row heat. The 3rd row gets no blower action when calling for heat by design from nissian not even recirculation. It does however have dedicated A/C.
2: A digital speedometer in the
Vehicles information display. (Between the tach and speedometer) every other car I have had for the past 15 years has had this as on option. Why not this one?
3: Better off line acceleration while turning specifically. This thing will cut power to what feels like 25% when trying to jump into traffic from a side road. It's frustrating as this thing has some serious power once your over 5mph.

What year is it? How long have you been driving your pathfinder?

I plan on buying one in a few months, I like the simplicity of the cluster guage , the Naturally aspirated v6 and cant beat the 6k tow rating & 3rd row seating, for me the Rock Creek has the perfect off road capabilities as the only off-road I do, is driving on the beach a few times a year.

I still love my 2004 Pathfinder LE. Well cared for, capable, and looks way better than any subsequent, dorky-looking Pathfinder...

I'm intrigued by the path finder, but no front tow hooks, 7.5 in ground clearance and no skid plates confirms this is a pavement warrior with aggressive tires.
Base SV with a hitch will get me along just fine...but the RC is a fail..

Can the roof-rack be removed ? Can it be replaced with aftermarket roof-racks?
