    Hiked this part of the Slovenian mountan trail (the only part sofar) at the beginning of April 2022,. The deep snow made it really difficult to get trough but it was a very interesting experience, learned a lot. Looks completely different without snow , also spent the night in that bivi :D

      Whoa hiking it in snow is a whole different thing! But especially the first part must be really beautiful in snow too :-) are you thinking of finishing the other parts one day?

      It was a winter wonderland, but next time I would bring snow shoes along :D
      Ya it's on my mind for sure! The first multi day hike I ever did was back in 2015, a trail I puzzled together from Faak am See to Triest and it took me trough Triglav and the valley of the seven lakes, so beautiful, it kickstarted my wanderlust so kinda had it on my mind for quite some time :)

    Great video as always. But I so wonder what is left of the trail around Raduha after the floods 😢

      Thanks! Yeah I also don’t know right now.. I hope nature is recovering and that the trail will be good for next season. Most importantly I hope that it’s getting better for the residents, it must have been horrible…

    Hi helena, do you know where is the trekker office in maribor, i'm looking for it but i've got no adress. Please 😊 we are now in Ljubljana and tomorrow straight to maribor to start ,💪 enjoy your day

      Hey! Unfortunately I don't know where it is or if that even exists. What do you need it for? If you have some questions maybe I can help. Guidebooks can be bought in the PZS office in Ljubljana maps.app.goo.gl/4PZt5tFttZaDtrXq7 there you can also buy the logbook for the stamps.

    Hiii Helena, i'm a thru hiker with experience. Next summer i want to do the Pyrenees high route or the slovenian trail. Which of the 2 would you describe as most solitude and connecting with nature? Thank you so much for the vids. Stay wild, peace

    • @helena_hikes
      @helena_hikes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Hmmm that’s a hard decision as I really love both trails. But I think the HRP will be more solitude and connecting with nature. The SMT has a bit more challenge and thrill but I found the Pyrenees to be a bit more wild and remote.
      Hope that helps :-)

    Hi Helena_hikes. Are the huts open in Oktober and November ?

    • @helena_hikes
      @helena_hikes  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! As far as I know they close in the end of September. Some lower huts may be open all year round and some have a winter room. You can check on the website of the alpine association of Slovenia!
