I love the "sword" skills all these people have. I have some fencing skills but I have out of my league with that lightsaber warrior. Bur seriously in too many pictures I see people hold the blade handle above the shoulder. It is not a good dueling stance. Keep the blade in front of you so you have the ability to parry. Keeping the "above shoulder" stance is only useful for a decisive blow but would be so much more efficient with one hand. Even then there are better things than that. If you watch anime to learn your fighting lessons, you will get nowhere.

Bur seriously in too many pictures I see people hold the blade handle above the shoulder. It is not a good dueling stance. Keep the blade in front of you so you have the ability to parry. Keeping the "above shoulder" stance is only useful for a decisive blow but would be so much more efficient with one hand. Even then there are better things than that. If you watch anime to learn your fighting lessons, you will get nowhere.
