I rarely feel a connection with other people and find it really difficult to maintain a relationship with friends. This means that I am alone a lot of the time, but rarely feel lonely. I felt disconnected with the world and I was fine with it. But when I got married and started living with my wife I got confronted with being an outsider a lot more. I wanted to maintain relationships with the friends she had and we made together, but I couldn't do it. I felt incredibly guilty because of it and set myself to a standard I couldn't keep. The only way to get out of that situation for me was te be honest to my wife, to medicate my ADD (which I was reluctant to) and to be more honest of how I experience life to my friends. From that point on I felt more connected to the people around me, felt less like trying to say what was expected of me to say and generally enjoyed myself a lot more because I didn't feel like I had to adapt my personality to the situation I was in. If you have similar feelings or if you feel like nobody understands you, maybe you even feel that most people are inferior to you; try to look inward first. Don't be afraid to confront your own insecurities, try to empathize with others and learn what is expected of you in the world and find your own way to deal with that. Blaming other people won't change a thing (even if you happen to be right), it only gives your mind an excuse to not have to work on itself. The road ahead might be rocky, but after every hard part comes a bit of clarity which makes the next hard part a little less hard. And after a while you have evolved so much that you don't even notice that you're working on yourself. It has become your second nature.

Fedoras are not my taste, but I don't think that they are as bad as what people make them out to be sometimes. It's just that we associate it with people we don't like. And for the people who use fedoras for the wrong reasons: A good sense of personal hygiene (maintaining (facial) hair, taking regular showers, dental hygiene and so on), combined with clothes that are in good condition (as in not worn to shit, not necessarily brand clothes) and fit your body (type) do so much more than wearing one item that represents class to you. And remember, you don't need to look perfect! You need to look like a person that takes care of itself and is good at it. Plus you need to actually develop character. Find out what defines you most and why. Learn about you flaws and your talents, be honest with yourself and always push yourself to be better! If you know what you value about yourself, you'll have a greater understanding of what you value in other people. You might feel like you don't understand the other sex or that the other sex doesn't understand you, but most likely you need to understand yourself first. Don't pursue love when connecting to people that aren't looking for love. Because they might not be the person you end up with, but they can help you on your journey to love. By giving advice, a greater understanding of how other people think and maybe connecting you to people who are looking for the same thing and are compatible with you as an individual.
I'm kinda rambling right here, but this speaks to me on a personal level. I haven't been unlucky in love, but I know a lot of people who share the mindset that is most commonly attributed with neckbeards. I personally have had some of the same feelings, but not on a relationship level. I have ADD and I am really introverted. I rarely feel a connection with other people and find it really difficult to maintain a relationship with friends. This means that I am alone a lot of the time, but rarely feel lonely. I felt disconnected with the world and I was fine with it. But when I got married and started living with my wife I got confronted with being an outsider a lot more. I wanted to maintain relationships with the friends she had and we made together, but I couldn't do it. I felt incredibly guilty because of it and set myself to a standard I couldn't keep. The only way to get out of that situation for me was te be honest to my wife, to medicate my ADD (which I was reluctant to) and to be more honest of how I experience life to my friends. From that point on I felt more connected to the people around me, felt less like trying to say what was expected of me to say and generally enjoyed myself a lot more because I didn't feel like I had to adapt my personality to the situation I was in. If you have similar feelings or if you feel like nobody understands you, maybe you even feel that most people are inferior to you; try to look inward first. Don't be afraid to confront your own insecurities, try to empathize with others and learn what is expected of you in the world and find your own way to deal with that. Blaming other people won't change a thing (even if you happen to be right), it only gives your mind an excuse to not have to work on itself. The road ahead might be rocky, but after every hard part comes a bit of clarity which makes the next hard part a little less hard. And after a while you have evolved so much that you don't even notice that you're working on yourself. It has become your second nature.
