So round 5 has been then PITAR (Pain in the a$$ round)
so have been trying different things and this has been the best strategy to get the job done so I hope it helps others and good luck 👍
P.S. - On a serious note this method is 99% perfect i’ve 7 round perfect 3 times in a row doing this its the way to go trust me.
I watched the video then played as I watched it again and won just barely she didn't die right at the end. A feral jumped on me and somehow it hurt the tech a lot but I was able to finally complete it solo. Thanks for the videos! Kind of makes me not want to try that again haha.

I like Daybreak, but damn that 45 minute match time. It should be half that for 1000 prestige. If I fail halfway through, I quit playing it altogether. That’s my only complaint.
It is too long for 1000 prestige, What sux also is if you play with people the game increases the difficulty adding more of everything, but when a player drops which happens ALOT the difficulty does not go back down... So you could have a really good team of players make it to round 6 they get network errors and your the host you get stuck in a no-win situation and 40 mins down the drain for garbage 300-400 prestige...
I seen alot of missed opportunities to save ammo with executions, I will definitely try and streamline your method so thanks a million.

It was you who inspired me to reach victory playing alone (in solo) a few months ago. In your videos dedicated to "Daybreak" I learnt that everything comes down to that every one should use explosives to reach victory. I've managed to reach victory for 5 times. Just trying to help others with this BS grind lol But I can 99.999% of the time now complete all 7 rounds with this method. They definitely did something to the blast rifle where it knocks down armored enemies but does not dismember or kill them.
The CLEO shotgun is the way to go it shreds them.

Nah it is grindy as hell so if and when you spend PP to buy any of the Red Facilities (workshop is best 1).
Dont forget to put them in a survivors inventory before completing a legacy or its gonzo ....
Thanks to this guide, I finally won State of Decay's Daybreak mode in singleplayer. The sunrise was a beautiful and miraculous sight.

Good job man. Round 5 can be a bitch. It’d be nice if UL could make the other red talons repair walls or run out in the field getting supplies. It truly is a grind for that prestige.
The crazy thing is I have looted 1 of the AI red talons when they have been killed by a juggernaut and they have.
6 - fire bombs
3 - bandages
1 - wall repair kit
And they don't use ANY of it... ridiculous
mattskx whaat? Mine don’t do shit but miss at point blank range and allow zeds to stroll right past them to the technician. Especially during round 5 🤦🏻♂️

mattskx agreed. You’d think they’d have fixed these little things by now. I’m tired of starting and restarting just to grind it out for prestige. I’m looking forward to the bigger update coming October. What do you think it’ll be?

Okay after grinding the fuck out of this, I have a few thoughts.
-This is missing an unlock where you can upgrade your AI teammates (guns, targeting, placement, throwables, anything), or unlock auto-fix walls, or at the very least have a 3rd one bc multiplayer gives you 3 people where solo gives you only 2 ai people.
-Scaling is a problem, the only benefit to solo is ammo management which destroys multiplayer because 3 guys needing the same ammo type is unbelievably dumb and game breaking.
-The timer is broken asf and the artillery needs to kill everything on the map when it ends or extend it until the last zombie dies.
-There is no point to spreading out CLEO drops when all you do in the limited time between waves is fix walls and un-fuck your inventory. You end up not worrying about the waves and much as fighting against the game design.
-The possible weapon choices are basically one of 3 things because everything else either prohibitively burns ammo (have you tried the full auto only SMG?!? WTF!) and screws you and your team mid-game, or is ineffective vs armor which past round 3 becomes a serious issue. At least make logical medium range weapon choices that offer challenge, not auto-fucking yourself for even attempting past round 3 with it.
-Specials need to be reworked. When they severely nerfed fire damage vs juggernauts why in the hell are there fire specials (fuel trap, pyro minefield) when all you need them for is juggernauts.
-The highest tier unlocks. All the pre-fabs but red talon workshop are questionable. You sacrifice a base slot, and spend hours grinding for a building that at best should be just a tier 3 upgrade. Who wouldn't like the ability to speed up grinding prestige for in-game purchases? After beating the thing 40 times I'd love the ability to unlock an extra guy, or artillery strike, or a turret you can sit back relax and shell stuff without having to do the same cookie cutter method over and over with no chance of optimizing your run.
-Apologies for my rant. I'm just salty because this game has so much potential and it feels like they just stopped half way through and said f it good enough. Also solid run bro, +1. I like the way you did round 3.
I don't know if you know this but a pro tip for Daybreak that makes it easier for me is shooting their legs off rather than headshots. Once their down, I found the NPCs take them out quick.

The AI in this game is notorious for not being able to shoot crawlers that are literally right next to the wall. Its better to knock them down and finish them.
You want the AI to shoot the bloaters & zombies before they make it to the street.
And they need to have Horde Breakers as they are pretty useless with the garbage shotgun they give them its not even an RTX shotgun which makes no sense.

How long would it take to unlock the starting gear you were using solo? Just began playing Daybreak and unfortunately none of my friends have the game.
The most important is the Cleo Shotgun, Followed by the deployable mines, followed by the cleo battle axe.
Each has a double unlock meaning, you unlock it 1st for daybreak then you unlock it for the standard game.
Cleo Shotgun about 13 round 3 wins
Deployable mines about 16 round 3 wins
Cleo Battle axe about need 25 rounds 3 wins then its the 1st round 5 win reward.
Theres a whole list of unlocks just look up daybreak unlock should go to reddit.
It's time to try it after watching it all
its a pain as even if you plan everything out perfect, conserve your ammo, explosives, walls are up , etc.. it can all go south in the blink of an eye usually end of round 5 lol

Switch to decaf or pay for a hooker, bro. You are seriously high strung, lol. You are very skilled, but you have a few weird quirks that i do not understand. One being that you insist on shooting the armored zed's and then executing them....instead of walking 2 more steps and doing a standing execution. Why do you do that? You waste ammo and time the way you handle them and those are the 2 things you need most in Daybreak.
ahh i always mention it is best to quick execute the armored zeds, but if im shooting into save a crowd of enemies example trying to clear a wall Im going to shoot all zombies or possibly bomb them, the if included armored zombies i always run over and finish them.
It is not always the best time to do a standing execution so not sure what your talking about 90 of the time i execute them whether its a 1 hit kill or on the ground lol

You are wrong you need to know how to organize your stuff and what round to use them, and what to look for out in the cleo drops as not all items are important.
you cannot possibly stand execute all armored zeds in round 5 its not possible the walls will fall id love to see you do a video on this probably cant even beat daybreak solo.

Dam I soloed it, the amount of stress on wave six was just unbearable wave 7 wasn’t that bad. It was easy compared to the other waves the only problem was Ferals and juggernauts 😅
Yeah after round 5 , your nerves will be a little on edge and can throw you off in round 6 if not careful lol just keep calm and stick to the steps/plan and it should go smooth as possible lol Glad to see people soloing this as it aint easy but its a great feeling 👍

yeah it seems the points are lower also im getting around 700-800 for a perfect 7 pound solo compared to 1000+ before the update.... ridiculous

@@mattskx Damn bro, I finally unlocked the Deployable Minefield and made it halfway through Round 6 finally before getting Zerg Rushed. I think my problem was everytime a Juggernaut would spawn, I would run out into the field to try to kill him before he rushes my walls. But while I'm trying to kill it, the Zeds would breach all my walls, and then the Technician would eventually get surrounded by Armored Zeds and go down. I gotta rewatch your strategy of how to defend the Technician while also having Juggernauts and walls breached. I'm getting better and better each time, but this new strategy of yours is definitely what's making it possible.
