    These people are the ones that shouldn't vote because they have no idea what they would be voting for. They did society a great service for not voting.

    The right to NOT vote is critical to being a free nation. It's also the reason we need the electoral collage (took me a long time to figure out that key aspect of why the popular vote won't work). We should not mock those who do not vote UNLESS they complain. Yes, you do have the lawful right to skip the vote and complain but, IMHO, you deserve to be mocked. If you don't vote and don't complain you'll have my basic respect. Carry on, and do something creative and constructive.

    • @BadWolfSilence
      @BadWolfSilence 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it absolutely is, or at least it would be if your vote actually mattered. We need small local power where votes matter, not one big government or ruling body that does whatever it wants. Do you think freedom is an authority figure that doesn’t need your input to function? Or do you mean something else?

      Totally agree. It amazes me every time i hear these idiots complain about Trump and his racist comments, rigged election, Russian collusion, and dozens of other things. The only facts they have are either silence or something Schiff and crew has said which have been nothing but total lies. Remember Schiff; I have solid evidence that there was collusion with the Russians? He has never given that proof. He chose to keep that secret?????? These people are some purebred Idiots, and that is the politically correct name for them.

    The founding fathers knew (from experience) that a pure democracy was foolish because it depends on the great bulk of the populous (like those in this video) to be responsible. Thus the electoral system. Traditionally, political power was put in the hands of those presumed to be responsible like property owners. A pure democracy will always destroy itself by voting freebies to everyone. (sound familiar?) Thus the USA form of democratic-republic, a balance of the principles of responsibility and freedom.

      Of course, we knew those polls were bullshit and were proven correct. It will go down as one of the best election nights ever based on the tears and meltdown of the insane SJWs and due to us protecting the Supreme Court.

    My dear God, is ignorance cool? I mean if you didn't vote because of a moral principle, then fine. It is absolutely shameful that most people don't take an interest. I voted for Trump because I don't want late term abortions, open borders, a political justice system and unlike HRC's stance on D.C. v. Keller, people should absolutely have the right to use a firearm in their home in defense of their families.

    I wonder how many of the interviewees could even tell you what the three parts of government are.....

    • @jasonrobbins4227
      @jasonrobbins4227 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Judicial, executive and legislative. Judicial is supreme court has the least of the power. Executive is the president they have veto power which in some cases makes the executive branch the strongest. Legislator is congress and they legislate laws and restrictions so long as signed by executive branch. However they hold the power of the purse. So they could be seen as the strongest branch of the 3. All in all the system requires "good men" without, the system becomes tainted and corrupt. FYI I didnt vote. Never have. I didnt like either candidate so I played Switzerland. Before some jackass says vote for the lessor of two evils. Point in case is simple. I dont require a vote to be empowered. Our presidential election is not based on citizen vote. It's done by electoral voters. If we were a democracy Clinton would've won and I'd be living in mexico.

  • @trublgrl

    Enough of this nonsense. If you are ignorant of the candidates and the issues, it is not your responsibility to vote. It is your responsibility to make an informed decision, just as it's your responsibility to know how to drive your car safely or own your gun responsibility. The vote is an exertion of power, a coercion on your fellow man, and if you have no idea what you're doing, DO NOT VOTE! It is also incumbent on the parties to promote candidates that citizens can positively vote for. This year, plainly, there were active, positive Trump voters, and hesitant, guilt-ridden Hillary voters. If the democratic party cannot field a candidate that is palatable, it is not the job of democrats to hand them a victory that they have done nothing to deserve.
    Every right comes with a responsibility.

We have been having these "lesser of two evils" elections since 1988, where we choose one of two sides that hold the American public in disdain. If I go to the store and I can't find milk, I'm allowed to complain. If I go to the voting booth and can't find one candidate with character and intellect, I have more right to complain.

      @mikeh8416 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they do. More than you think. If you look at the county map, Trump won some 180 counties and Clinton won like 27. If it weren't for the electoral college EVERY election would be controlled by 5 states and about 30 counties because of their high population, and the votes of the people in the OTHER 45 states wouldn't count for anything.
      Study up. I used to think the same way but as years go, wisdom grows, and the realization of JUST HOW SMART our founding fathers were setting it up that way starts to sink in....
      Andrew Jackson (Democrat) got less than half the popular vote, but won because of the Electoral College. This was the first time the popular vote wasn't what brought the actual outcome. The reason is simple. Different states have different needs. Let's say the popular vote won when the 5 states with the largest populations voted for someone who thought there were too many cattle farms. Well a LOT of ranchers would be out of business, and food supplies would dwindle, but since the states that SURVIVE because of cattle farming have a chance to be heard.
      This may not be the best analogy, but you get the point.
      Don't get mad, get educated on how things work.....

    Voting is like owning a weapon
    “I can’t encourage millions of people whom I’ve never met to just run out and cast a ballot,
    simply because they have the right to vote. That would be like encouraging
    everyone to buy an AR-15, simply because they have the right to bear arms. I
    would need to know a few things about them before offering that kind of
    encouragement. For instance, do they know how to care for a weapon? Can they
    afford the cost of the weapon? Do they have a history of violence? Are they mentally
    stable? In short, are they responsible citizens?
    There is no such thing as a civic duty to vote. Voting is a right, not a duty, and not a moral obligation.
    Like all rights, the right to vote comes with some responsibilities, but lets face it - the bar is not set very high. If you
    believe aliens from another planet walk among us, you are welcome at the polls.
    If you believe the world is flat, and the moon landing was completely staged,
    you are invited to cast a ballot. Astrologists, racists, ghost-hunters,
    sexists, and people who rely upon a Magic 8 Ball to determine their daily
    wardrobe are all allowed to participate. In fact, and to your point, they’re
    encouraged.”

    I think many of those that didn't vote were liberals and thought so much that Hillary was a shoo in. They listened too much to all the diatribe the democraps put out. In that same concept, I didn't like some of the things trump did but absolutely was against Hillary and what she stood for because I saw what she said and what her background and what she did were exactly the opposite of what she ran on. Everything was a lie. I voted for Trump. I would have voted for Gary Johnson, but he didn't care about the borders and the mass influx of illegal immigrants. that was the major thing to me. There is a cause and effect of jobs by this and that is seen by places like fast food where once were the jobs for high schoolers is now done mostly by young and older illegals. There has not been a place for young graduates to work before getting out into the real world. Taking care of this alleviates many issues in America. I am glad Trump is doing what he promised.

    I didn't vote for Hillary or Trump. I made the mistake of listening to the liberals news media about Trump, but I was not going to vote for the traitor. Voting gives you the right to complain about either side. Not voting means you have no right to complain.

    I'm encouraged by the fact that none of those people voted. Our nation is stronger when ill-informed adults stay out of the democratic process.

    If you didn't vote, you should have no grip on who gets elected as you obviously didn't care.

    If the government took away the right to vote, they'd probably be the first ones to complain. Vote because it's your right to do so. Vote to support the right to vote. 'Rigged" elections or not.
