I love Denon players as I have SC5000. A company that listens to its users and is innovative.
Finally jumping the sinking ship. Ordered a sc6000 and x1850 setup. They are a little backordered but I'm sure they will be worth the wait. Also have a Prime 2 coming as my portable unit. It's pretty exciting to see some new tech coming to the market. I was going to wait until Pioneer came out with there new gear but with there announcements of there subscription based software and Rekordbox 6 its pretty clear where they are headed.
So helpful in my ongoing battle to decide which CDJ setup I want to purchase for myself. Seems very much catered towards the producers as well as the hardcore DJs ^-^
One big thing that probably won't matter to you but these have no CD drive.
But because of your show I’m really thinking moving over to Denon . Thank you!

Hey ik wil graag even via deze weg zeggen dat ik een enorme bewonderaar van je ben en jij mijn inspiratie geweest bent om de muziek weer op te zoeken. 4 jaar geleden heb ik een tia gehad en dacht ik dat ik mezelf volledig verloren had. Ik moest opnieuw leren lopen, praten en mezelf leren kennen want ik was niet de persoon meer die ik daarvoor was. Muziek heeft mij altijd weten te steunen en ik wilde na de revalidatie dat weer oppakken en ben gaan proberen te draaien. En jij speelde daar zonder dat je dat in de gaten had een enorme rol in. Je tutorials en jou manier van spelen met muziek vond en vind ik geweldig. Nu 4 jaar later heb ik m'n eerste video online durven zetten. Hij is lang niet vlekkeloos en is geen hoogstandje aan tricks maar ik ben er super trots op en ik wil jou daar persoonlijk voor bedanken. Je bent in mijn ogen een held. 👍👍👍😊

Hey Luke. I love the new Denons. They look amazing. Ive played on the first released ones and loved them but Im a turntablist. I prefer vinyl. Anyway I’m interested to know what you think about the Rane Twelves and Rane 72/70 mixers. I got me some twelves 6 months ago and love them.

When will it be traktor compatible. And with larger SC6000 are there flight cases for them. They are nice looking and all but what about transporting them from gig to gig. Would you provide a link for the flight cases so I can get the cases as soon as I pick up the SC6000

I like the new players a lot but I prefer the lights style on the buttons of the sc5000. But it's just what I see on images, I should try it at a club. And the mixer is perfect. The other two standalone controllers are amazing too

Do like the prime 2 just right up my street spec with the WiFi streaming on it. Just turn up switch on log on and off you go. Since got just short of 6 thousand hip hop tracks in my play list lol plus like the idea of thumb drive music. Also the integration with serato n tidal not very good or if you dont have strong WiFi connection it crashes serato dj pro

Hey Luke, and insight on the durability of the new sc6000s? I "changed my rider" when the SC5000s came out, and I absolutely loved them, but both the players' buttons started failing along with the platter in a little over a year. I ended up switching back to Pioneer setup, but I'm pretty unimpressed with pio as of late, and would really like to go back to denon if the build quality has improved at all.
Best advice is to arrive 45 mins before the show to pee 😂😂
How are you getting all the denon gear to the clubs? Especially when your flight is delayed.

I'm curious why you don't use the motorized version, as you coming from a vinyl background. And since Denon give us the choice to have one or another without loosing options, what is the thing you find/feel better in a jog that you don't find on the motorized platter ?

I tested the sc5000 last week and I played with the Nexus the day after, and man, Denon is the way right now. I really hope Pioneer will release a new player soon enough. I'm a Serato user, who play some tracks quite fast, and I rarely play on CDjs directly because I can't play the same way; I was able to do so with only 1 Denon player, and no prepared playlist. Sure there's a lot of cons, especially the software, but I totally fell in love with the player. I mean, this is the one that can convince DVS users like me to let our computers at home. I'm willing to tell every DJ and venues I know to test Denon gear
¿Serato? That is not even a professional software for djing.
I use RB, paid version and man, thats another level.
I haven’t used denons since the DN-S3500 (pre USB era) and I had a bad time on them coming from 1200’s and pioneer CDJ 800/ 1000’s.
I found beatmatching using the platters to be extremely different feeling and difficult. I recall having to improvise and rely on the pitch bend + and - buttons in order to get through my set because the jogs reacted so strangely in comparison to pioneer or technics turntables.
I can’t help but to notice that the pitch bend buttons still remain on the demon decks... does this mean that the jogs still behave differently in comparison?
The new decks look so nice and advanced next to pioneer, and I’d love to give them a chance but fear they still respond differently.
Is there still a learning curve with the newer platters?

Love the new Denon gear hopefully someday I will switch back to Denon again. Had a question about flight delays, I know you like to do a system check a sound check before shows with your tour mgr how does it work when you have flight delays and show up right before you are on to DJ?
Could you release your full recorded set from the corporate gig to the rest of the world?

My biggest concern about Denon products is the accessibility. I am a legally blind DJ, and the touch screen is not feasible for me unless if the developers include screen reader support, like voiceover found on iOS devices, with their products. I contacted both Pioneer and Serato because their products don’t have screen reader support currently. I would love to contact and work with the Denon engineers, but I don’t have any of their products currently. So, it would be hard for me to test and provide feedback on accessibility features for their products.
I'm A Little Late Getting To The Gate, But Direct From The Box, Can I Pop In My Flash Drive (But Tracks Have Been Analysed With My Rekordbox Software) And Just Plug And Play, Or Is It A Hassle To Set Up With A Loaded Up USB But Tunes Have Already Been Sorted With Rekordbox.
I Am Seriously Thinking About Purchasing The Denon SC6000 X2 & The Denon DJ X1850 Mixer. But If Its Not Fully Compatible Yet (19/3/2024) With My USB Flash Drive With Rekordbox Tunes On It, I Might Just Upgrade To The Pioneer CDJ 3000s.
DENON DJ question; at what point are you able to request that Denons be at the club you play at? Do most clubs also have Denons, or because the Pioneers are "the industry standard" do they only have CDJs? Just wondering what I should prepare for when I start playing. Do you bring your own everywhere and set them up?
