Hey great review. i also use resolve. Any tips on computer settings/resolve settings for smooth playback while editing? im on the free version thinking maybe thats why it isnt as smooth. im on the i9 9th gen 32gb ram as well.
Hey PartyintheAM, I too am using the free version on the XPS too and don't have any issues with playback not being smooth; I did however use the Nvidia Control Panel to forcw the launch of Davinici Resolve using the GTX 1650 instead - maybe this might help?
@@TheBearTechAre you doing 4k? im always using gopro & drone. i heard this H265 or whatever codec is really hard on the computers . I assumed the xps7590 would just eat it with the i9. its on and off with how stable it is im just trying to maximize the computer! its not easy.
Hey, i recently bought this laptop's fhd version. From the beginning itself i m not able to understand why but the power button is required to be pressed multiple times or harder to start the laptop. Is this the case with every XPS 7590?
Hi @KARTIK SAXENA - I've noticed this a few times myself (not every time though) I just assumed that it *could* be due to the built in fingerprint scanner? Have you tried googling the issue? - Hopefully you'll be able to find a solution/fix online otherwise, if not, call Dell Support and have them look at it BEFORE your waranty/next day service expires. Good luck my friend, I hope you manage to get it sorted. Thanks, Bobby
@@TheBearTech Hi Allen, thanks for replying. I did contact with the support team and got this reply: "A delay upon pressing the power button to turn on the system in DC mode (battery only) is expected behavior. This is due to the S5 power consumption saving design, where the charger IC is turned off when the system is set to S5. The charger IC includes a power-saving function under S5, and it takes time to resume from an S5 to an S0 state after pressing the power button. The time difference between AC/DC mode is this transition time. Meaning power button may require a long press when in battery only mode." Hopefully this is true!
Ah ha, that makes perfect sense then. You should be able to change the setting in the BIOS if you need then/is not what you want :) Thanks for watching the video and best of luck with your Dell XPS :)
I bought this same model around the time you did. but with OLED. so far its been good to me.
hey buddy do you have any oled pixel burn ins with your laptop now?
Great review!! Commented on my XPS 9570 running on hackintosh 10.14.6 lol
In 2023 does this laptop have good enough performance to use Visual Studio without pain points?
Personally, I believe it works great, still! Visual Studio still works flawlessly. Hope this helps :)
