Ah yes, them were the days, It was a great track. I watched a lot of racing there in the 1970's - 80's.. particularly drag racing. Sadly, the greedy real estate developers wanted the site and it was gone....
Yeah coz you can have a racetrack in the middle of a city with no issues. The greedy developers took advantage when it became unviable to use it as a racetrack any more.
A Great great Real road race bike racing & far from the IMU computer controlled shit they have today and or Lately 2017. Gardener was nano seconds away from being High sided on that long tire bridge right hander.
Don’t you remember the grim reaper ads on tv? 😂 And I’ve been called a “temporary Australian” so many times since I got my bike license in early 1987… not sure how temporary I’m supposed to be… and strangely enough people still have sex.

The old air-cooled bikes were cheap and people rode them.
