I have a $235 eBay power screed and it works just as good as any I’ve used in the past. Mine has a 2x4 stud attached to pull the mud and I’m sure a magnesium blade would be nice to have but it’s not necessary.
We are having a problem with our magic screed not propelling itself as it's supposed to do. It runs, it vibrates, but it will not propel itself. It has something to do with the worm not functioning properly. Anybody know anything about this?
You need to talk To your ready mix company to find out what works. Concrete is going to be different all Across the country due to differing materials. Your local ready mix guys will know how much you need to use for sure.

You have to pull it LOL. It does not propel itself. If the bearing in the esentric weight goes bad it will not work right though. 👍
How much water reducer per yard
