Ruby is soo adorable she looks just like Liz.. what a beautiful family. Goodluck on the way back... We've done long distance travel with my bubs too and I hated it.
I love watching your sweet/real vlogs. They are so vegan!!!! Road trips with a toddler a challenge. No way around it. Maybe stop at some waterfalls and stuff along the way to make it worth your while. Camp sites. Things like that. But the family and change of scenary makes it worth while. And your family connecting with your newest family member.
We traveled often from New Jersey to Canada (an 8 hour drive) and from Florida to Canada (a 24 hour drive) with our three little ones. We took lots of breaks at rest stops, where the kids could run around on grass areas. We would bring a ball or something like that to play with, and get them to stretch their little chubby legs for a short time. We also sang songs in the car with the kids and had other activities for them to do in the car (they liked playdough and puzzles). Kids learn to be good travelers. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
Always enjoying watching your videos. I often think about the time that your old landlord ask you to move out, and how unfair was that. However, the 👑 happen it was a blessing in disguise.
Loved this! Ruby is adorable! My friends who used to travel regularly from NJ to FL said it was a game changer when the technology developed where the kids could watch movies while traveling. They're now all in their 30's, so that was a while ago. Thanks for sharing.
Ruby would need to be a little older, but my sister used to drive solo from North Carolina to Western NY with her two little boys in the back seat. In addition to the usual videos and games, her strategy was a big bag of candy, snack food, and drinks, which she would continually toss in the back. By the time they got to NY the car was littered with assorted wrappers, bags, and containers. Whatever keeps them occupied...
What a beautifully shot video. Your videos are always so real. Just an absolutely loving family, surviving a pandemic while traveling. Your videos are always worth the wait and Ruby is just surrounded with love. Thank you.💕
Possible tips entertainment and stuff for whatever comes up. Videos on a tablet (there's gadgets to strap them to headrests), whatever you use for teething, toys, books, extra snacks, frequently stop and take breaks, extras of everything, and try your best to not stress out.
We love traveling with our kiddos! We've traveled with our kids when they were all 3 months and up. Our recent trips we took to Colorado 10 hour drive and Florida which was a 2 day drive. We have a 1/3/7 year olds. We use the DVD player (if you dont have one in your car you can buy ones that hook up to your power adapter in your car), or the iPad download a bunch of movies/baby Einstein on it and I bought an awesome iPad head rest holder off amazon that springs between the metal bars. Lots of snacks and toys!!! Good luck!!
Hi Duncan, Liz and Ruby, I'm so glad to see ALL again, it been too long! Your Baby Girl, is Adorable ❤ Stay Safe, Healthy and Protected during this time. Have a Safe Journey Home. Blessings to ALL, Piper
It was very lovely to see you guys! I really enjoyed the ride, maybe not as much as you, but it was nice to travel somewhere in this circumstances. Lots of love to the three!
You guys have such a beautiful, awesome family!! Ruby is just darling too! She definitely looks a lot like her mama but hints of her daddy! Love your guys vlogs!!
Beautiful family 😍 we have done a lot of road trips with our two boys from birth and it consists of what you guys have discovered. Entertainment everything and snacks. Lots of stops to stretch. Playgrounds and picnics. Pace at their pace 💗
Man I sure have missed you guys!!! We need more videos! 😉 I have zero advice for long road trips with toddlers. Even though I had 3 and 2 grands. Just be flexible with your plans and patient. What else can you do! 🤷🏼♀️ Hope you guys are having fun and Ruby is sooooo stinkin cute and growing up so fast!! 🥰❤️
she's such a ray of sunshine oml. Good luck on the way back tho cuz traveling with a baby is NOT easy so I'm really proud of you guys for hanging in there.
No tips, it just sucks. It gets way easier when they are about 18 months and can be a little entertained by a movie. We did a trip where we drove most of the night and slept on and off during the day. That was ok but recovery took a while. It won't be fun, stress free and spontaneous again for a while. But kids are so great. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon because planes are way easier in my experience with kids.
Soooo my mom used to give my brother and I this CalMag drink powered juice when she wanted us to sleep like Christmas Eve or at sleepovers. It’s calcium magnesium together and it just helps you sleep. Idk if you can order it or go to a health food store while you’re in AK but maybe give it a test run to see if she likes it before your trip back. Good luck! Ruby is so freaking cute omg.
My family moved me from Washington state to Georgia, the drive was terrible 😂 I was only 5. My mom said they scheduled fun activities/games/movies/cds so we never ran out of things to do and she said it definitely helped her not go insane 😂
California to Virginia here... 8... w an Airedale dog sharing the backseat w me... one of my toy boxes flew off the top of the car- haha 😂 I was horrified
Although I don't comment on youtube videos like that I've been watching you guys since 2016 and have watched every video. You guys are like an internet family to me lol. Hope all is well. I've been meaning to watch your movie but haven't had time, still on my watchlist. Love yall!!!!!
Plan no more than 6 nonstop hours a day. You're going to have to get out and walk every two hours. And when she is sleeping, drive like a bat out of Hades.

I’ve had that same diaper car thought. And have also driven with a screaming baby . It gets easier , mine are two and four now... I mean it gets easier but not muchhhh easier
We're gonna do a video about it, but in the meantime: Dry: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 Tablespoons baking powder (check expiration date and shake can beforehand) 4 Tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt Stir together with a fork Wet: 1 3/4 cups non-dairy milk (use unsweetened or reduce sugar from dry ingredients. This is the only quantity I haven't nailed down yet. You may need to add a little more milk to the batter to make it more pourable) 1 cup non-dairy yogurt (the secret ingredient, imo) 3 Tablespoons canola oil Pre-heat pan or griddle at medium-low heat. A non-stick pancake griddle works best. If using stainless or cast iron, rub a little coconut or canola oil onto the pan with a paper towel. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix with a fork until the flour is saturated, but some chunks remain. Don't mix too thoroughly because you will lose the C02 released by the baking powder. Don't let the batter settle for too long, again to retain C02. Use 1/3 measuring cup to ladle batter onto heated pan. If the pan is hot enough, the batter will start to bubble soon. Wait until bubbles in the middle are popping, 2-3 minutes, then flip. Cook the opposite side for 1-2 minutes, avoiding the temptation to smoosh the pancake with your spatula.
Oh my god she looks just like Liz HOW ADORABLE
i love the way you capture the simplest and purest and toughest parts of life so beautifully
Right!! I was thinking the same thing!! Lol
Very well said! This is why this is my favorite channel.

Screen time and constant snacks are the only things that make long car rides with my 15 month old somewhat bearable!

I did the same. It seems necessary with toddlers too. I was in charge of entertainment, and it was exhausting.

Ruby looks like a smaller blend of mom and dad. :D
Beautiful family!
Old school solution but when my parents traveled with me cross country they relied heavily on Benadryl 😂
Could you post the pancake recipe? Vegan pancakes never work out for us!
We're gonna do a video about it, but in the meantime:
Dry:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons baking powder (check expiration date and shake can beforehand)
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Stir together with a fork
Wet:
1 3/4 cups non-dairy milk (use unsweetened or reduce sugar from dry ingredients. This is the only quantity I haven't nailed down yet. You may need to add a little more milk to the batter to make it more pourable)
1 cup non-dairy yogurt (the secret ingredient, imo)
3 Tablespoons canola oil
Pre-heat pan or griddle at medium-low heat.
So You're Dating A Vegan this is amazing. Thank you!!
No prob! I just fixed a typo. Use a little oil on stainless and cast iron. No oil needed on non-stick.
8:44 precious moment

We talked about it. They don't work with baby car seats.
Is there anyway you could shout out my sisters vegan channel? It’s growingwithalysa. I just want her hard work to pay off, I understand if you can’t!
I feel like you guys still live in the 90's. Also, is there any love between you and Liz?
What.
Baby benedryl and an iPad. No need to reinvent the wheel.
