- In today’s video, we discuss who Chelsea can target in the January transfer window to replace the injured Wesley Fofana, what attributes they need to be successful and who would be the best fit?

Guehi is one of the leading CBs in aerial duels won, headed clearances and passes completed. I want him and Hato from Ajax
My preference would be Diomande, but I think he would be summer only and will, ultimately, be prohibitively expensive. I think our targets are very tightly linked to outgoings, and I have concerns over the prices we would get for players like KDH or Disasi. There will inevitably be some losses, unfortunately.
I reckon if it's January then it's Guehi, if not we ride it out and re-assess in summer. I think we will try and do what we've done with Maatsen and Gallagher and work some PSR shenanigans with Guehi and Chalobah. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with this (the fact that Acheampong is barely 18 and getting a premier league start at CB is a bit concerning, as is the sudden recalling of Anselmino), but I get the feeling the club wants to avoid looking desperate going into negotiations. I think they will prioritise what they feel is value over expediency, even if that means a bit of short term pain.
Araujo's situation mirrors Chilwell's. Both are world class in their respective positions at their best. But if they are available for transfer, then its because their clubs know something we don't. If the rumours are true that Barcelona are open to selling, I would be deeply concerned about his injury prospects.
Gusto is still looking a little lost at RB, Disasi is apparently up for sale, Veiga was dropped for disciplinary reasons apparently. Everyone is focused on CM and ST, but apparently defence is where all the drama is at :). I'd still love to know your predictions on defence as a whole past the summer?
Great vid as always mate!
Thanks mate, agreed on Diomande, he’s my favourite big risk/reward move for sure, he’s been one of my dream signings for a while now 👍
But yes outgoings are very heavily important and linked with incomings I agree
Love these player breakdowns
@@terryli1783 Thankyou mate! More coming next week for ST and LW 🤝
for me its, araujo, mosquera, bisseck or flamingo or no one
all those 4 fit the profile we need, either able to produce a world class level now or have an incredibly high ceiling
if not them then no signing
guehi amazing player, but not characteristics i want for our cb, same with others tbh, not thought too much about zabarnyi really
guehi also more of a floor raiser, all our signings now should just be ceiling raisers in positions we need
I got one better. Bisseck from inter. Ideal RCB. Big aerial monster. We saw him lock up bukayo in the ucl. Already in a back 3 like structure with inzahi
Bisseck is absolutely outstanding yeah, but can’t see a world where they let him go 🤷♂️
I´d like to see Goehi back at Chelsea. He got a lot of EPL experience. He can provide the much needed command over the backline. Colwill is not there yet in that regards. Together they might be the future for england CBs. A Partnership that could well develop over the years. Also with Anselmino we got a talent who might grow into that role as well. He is young but got a decent frame and height. Looking forward to see him and Josh for Chelsea on the pitch next season. And since both Reece and Gusto are prone to inuries i guess we see Josh pretty often getting minutes.
Excellent work! Zabarnyi is a really solid and sensible option. What do you think of Huijsen? His upside is top 5 in the world imo. Also will you be doing a video like this for strikers?
Thankyou mate! I love Huijsen too, said in the summer he was a top 5 signing of the window, he’s TOP 👍
Yes striker and LW videos out next week of this same sort 🤝
@@HoldenConnor00 I had heard a lot about him and saw him a bit at Roma, but I’ve been surprised by how ready he looks. Thought it would take him a couple of seasons, but he’s on it already, and still got several levels in his locker. Amazing! Looking forward to both videos.
@@liamc24789 Thankyou mate! 👊
Opinion on Guehi in air and who do you think is the best choice i feel Zarbayani is the best choice looking at everything
See the end of the video 🤝
Interesting, I don’t think I had thought about Zabarnyi… mainly because I haven’t been looking 😂. I’m leaning towards one of the Benfica CB’s personally… but I get the physicality concerns.
I like Tomas Araujo, not the biggest on Antonio Silva personally though
Mosquera got a 20 million RC (Euros)
Is he good at scoring from set pieces
Not worked out that way so far, but he has the aerial threat to help it
Connor you don't think Josh could invert?
Not that he absolutely couldn’t but it’s just not getting the best from him
@@HoldenConnor00 don't you think that in a couple of months Anselmino should be rated higher than Acheampong? Unlike Josh, Aaron has been fighting in professional football for a relatively long time.
@@K41Z3RR Different types of player to an extent, Josh is a athletic freak, sky is the limit, Anselmino is a special talent too, has been well moulded for sure, elements of T Silva, Romero etc in him, controlled aggression, so much to like - both TOP tier talents so tough to judge!
@@HoldenConnor00I agree the problem is then Colwill wouldn't be optimized. If Josh & Levi start at lcb & rb one won't be in their best role.
Mosquera
Elite ceiling, but would require time to brush up on - I would be very excited about him joining if it happened for sure 👍
