If he was explaining tomatoes farming, I'd go and study agriculture! If he spoke about wood, I'd became a carpenter. I just want a daily "Jack Antonoff talking about anything".
the lyrics alone is literally a literature masterpiece, and the way it was produced like some kind of orchestral movement is just beyond music and all it's forms, im not even trying to exaggerate, bleachers especially jack is one of those rare artists who actually loves and live for what they're doing, and it clearly shows from this song.. and i absolutely love how their album ttsoosn is like an anthology of stories in a metaphor called music..
Absolutely. I find there's a lot of similarities between this album and Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" album. Maybe not in a rock sense, but in a story telling way. Also the fact that Bruce is a featured artist on this album is truly incredible.
@@Gfbackflip im a huge fan of Springsteen and the E Street band and it’s the reason why I discovered bleachers ‘cause of chinatown and how they are heavily influenced by legends like the boss, the beatles, etc.. and i just find it refreshing to see artists like them be “influenced” and “referential” yet very original by today’s modern music standards..
also we can hear zadie´s "what if everything that happened is just everything that happened" !! at least my sister and I definitely can, it feels v integral to the song as that kind of background echo moment
I've never heard another artist where you kinda just get it. The lyrics make sense of these emotions we couldn't quite put to words and it's a relief to hear. Even the more abstract imagery is very straight forward and works so so well
Even from the perspective of someone with no experience in making music, this is such a beautiful series. I could look at those machines and be clueless in what they are or what they do, and Lord help me but I can't name what instruments are used in a song. But Jack just breaks the whole thing down so beautifully. I could listen to him talk about music all day.
The song is so perfect in how it can mean something so specific to Jack but yet so very different but just as much meaning to me and my own life. Truly a magical masterpiece
Seeing him talk about this is just so insane... he’s so incredibly brilliant. One of my favorites from the album and it’s incredible to see how much work went into it. I hope it is going to be performed on tour and I can hear this live
Myself and the entire team (Bleachers) appreciate you for your kind words. Thanks for the endless support and encouragement, feel free to email me share your thoughts, thanks: bleachersmusicofficial@gmail.com
It’s my favorite song. I want to hear them all. It makes me think of the war but also the war we’re going through now and my sister is now in jail because of how hard this world is and I’m trying to help her children. This song breaks my heart.
ive been having a hard time getting into the album, but for some reason i cant stop listening to this song and this video made me fall in love with it even more!!
"Why I'm fucked up but why I still think it's worth grabbing at a future" I'm gonna need a minute here The lyrics to this song just cut so deep and the music perfectly captures the mood of the words and ugh what an amazing song, thank you for sharing the process!!
Myself and the entire team (Bleachers) appreciate you for your kind words. Thanks for the endless support and encouragement, feel free to email me share your thoughts, thanks: bleachersmusicofficial@gmail.com
Chris Cornell was a chatter box he’d go on forever and you’d forget the question. I’m thinking there’s a link between speech and lyrical magic 🪄 good stuff Jack!!! Tour Boston!
Really wish Jack would release an album of demos/alt-mixes. Some of these alternate versions and explorations are so interesting. I think it would be a cool b-sides type record with these early versions of some of his best songs from his first 3 bleachers albums.
Myself and the entire team (Bleachers) appreciate you for your kind words. Thanks for the endless support and encouragement, feel free to email me share your thoughts, thanks: bleachersmusicofficial@gmail.com
I hear so much in this album. I think the story is all about Jack and his parents (maybe his father more than him actually), but that's not what strikes me about these interviews. I love how he loves his muses.
Myself and the entire team (Bleachers) appreciate you for your kind words. Thanks for the endless support and encouragement, feel free to email me share your thoughts, thanks: bleachersmusicofficial@gmail.com
"... like a folk song or a poem," yes. As in what grabs a person to turn it up and listen to the story-line. Pop? His gratitude to Annie Clark's contribution is sweet. (Who, otherwise, is Annie Clarke?, he doesn't explain, except that "she's not musical).
Look, I know this isn't about Jack's glasses but does anyone know the brand? What i'm interested in is the shape and the material with those adjustable nose pads! Carry on.

i could spend hours just listening to Jack explain things
Sounds like a good lyric.

"are you who I think you are?" Wholesome 🥺😂
Imagine opening your front door and Jack is standing there on the sidewalk talking about music. Terrifying.
I'd forgotten this comment from ages and ages ago.
I've changed my mind.
"i wish we never sold that house" "yeah you really fucked up" LMAO
If he was explaining tomatoes farming, I'd go and study agriculture! If he spoke about wood, I'd became a carpenter. I just want a daily "Jack Antonoff talking about anything".
Real life Dumbledore
this is like free therapy

I could listen to him do this for the entire album
This is my favourite song on this album. I loved hearing how this comes together from both a metaphorical and technical point of view
I just farted and it was loud am to embarrassed to look up they are all starring

One my favorite songs on the album - loved it since the Chinatown music video!

Jack knows his music, I respect his work so so much. He has heart and soul and passion and depth. This is what music should be.
The song is so perfect in how it can mean something so specific to Jack but yet so very different but just as much meaning to me and my own life. Truly a magical masterpiece
I Would Honestly Give Jack Everything I Own Just For Him To Sit Down And Talk Music To Me
best overture ever
Love the way he explains things
Seeing him talk about this is just so insane... he’s so incredibly brilliant. One of my favorites from the album and it’s incredible to see how much work went into it. I hope it is going to be performed on tour and I can hear this live
the first song that made me find out more about Bleachers and I've been listening to everything Jack wrote ever since TTvTT
"I'm here but I'm not, just like you I can't leave". Those lyrics always tear me apart. Both in a good way and a bad way. So bittersweet.
my heart is so full listening to him talk about music
“Why I’m not fully present but why I’m trying to have such a big life at the same time.” #mood
The comments section on any Jack Antonoff video is simply majestic. The kind of devoted love our angel Jack deserves!
zadie’s bridge vocal sounds soooooo much 1979 lindsey buckingham. it’s very Tusk-esque. thought it was a lowkey guest vocal from LB
when he said "it needed to sound hypnotic" or "melted" why did that make such perfect sense, ugh i love it
i love listening to this genius, so nice and a lot to learn
love you jack
Jack breaking down everything it's just amazing omg.
This song is everything 🧡

I'm in love with this album! And this song is one of my favs ♥
Utterly fascinating
The way this video cuts between his childhood house and studio makes the film student in me happy.
Thank you for this amazing song. ♥️
Yayyyy ❤️ I’m so happy this series is continuing
Now I know why many singers want to work with him. He's both a brilliant musician and a meticulous composer . ❤👏

These videos are everything. Mesmerized by the life and story in these songs. Thanks Jack.
What a genius. Absolutely love this

Interesting with that minor chord, and nice choice. You’re genius

I’ve been dying for this since the Chinatown video

Thank you for making time to do these Jack. I really enjoy them.
God i love these videos.
