Two things to know. I took wire cutters and trimmed some plastic away the tail horizontal stabilizer on top of the joint where it connects to the rudder. I did this to a toy that was starting to crack, and another that I bought as a replacement that was fully functional. The squared root of the fin doesn't need to be squared. That gives just enough friction to have a "snap" feel to the joint, but is super soft now. It won't stress out the joint and crack anything, and even on the one that was already cracking it no longer pushes the axel pin outwards so you cannot tell it is cracked. The second thing is toys in general. If you have a loose ball joint, just pop off the limb or head, then coat the ball in clear nail polish, or floor wax like Future floor wax. That can stiffen it up enough to hold again. You may need to re-apply the polish later on as it wears out pretty fast.
As a fellow owner of a Classics Starscream, mine to has entered into the "Stays in robot mode because he feels like he will break if I transform him" club.
Oh god, I could feel the pain of folding down those tail fins from here, no wonder you keep him in robot mode. Y'know, I was skeptical at first, but I am very entertained by these transformers reviews. Especially since it's easier for me to understand the technicals of transforming a toy than the complicated setup required to get that specific shade of green on a goblin's cheeks. Very good work my man, I'll be happy to see whatever you post next.
My copy ha that esame issue with tailfins. I think it's in all copies. I fixed that by thinning a little the part of plastic that needs to click over when folding out. The problem it is too high and stresses the plastic when the fin needs to fold out or in. Nice video. One of my favorite molds. I am actually collecting model from that era for nostalgia.
I remember people complaining about how earthrise Starscream was pretty much a bigger version of Classics. Being someone who lost his copy so early on when I started collecting, I really didnt care lol
I had the sky warp repaint and loved him. I used to play with him in the office during calls while waiting for the customer to get around to telling what there issue was.
I really enjoy watching your Transformers videos; good to see you doing something that's fun and doesn't seem like work (i.e., like the painting videos were becoming). Never owned Transformers; I was in middle school (13-14) when the toys came out, so I was moving away from that. I did watch the cartoon and read some of the comics. My childhood was micronauts, shogun warriors, and 12 inch GI Joe....with Kung Fu action grip. Oh, and Star Wars!
I'd given up by the time the Botcon Rainmakers and generics came around and ended up moving on the Classics Starscream, Skywarp and Botcon Thundercraker but still have 13 variations of this tooling with Henkei SS, TC and SW plus Ghost Starscream, Classics Ramjet, Botcon Thrust and Dirge and a half dozen Universe Acid Storms as troop builders.
Remember owning an embarrassing number of decos of this! I do think that age has been relatively kind to the mold, although I've been more than fine with the Siege release as the default screamer in the collection.
Woof, nostalgia-bomb. I never personally owned this figure, but I'm getting some major flashbacks to when I was reading the Insecticomics back in the early internet days. Anybody remember Insecticomics? Anyone? Funny stuff.
Oh, I'm still super fond of this mold. There's better 'screams now, but he's so fun to transform. Btw just to nitpick, his chest turbines(?) do fold to be wheels in jet mode.
The only music in here is a bit of royalty free music and a track from the old TV show. If we happen to have both used the same bits then it's entirely coincidental as I'm not hugely familiar with his videos.

I could watch wib review regional variants of soft drinks and still be entranced.
Gosh darn it Wib, don't play with my heart like that in the opening XD

Starscream: anti-authoritarian, brooding, and can confidently pull off a fabulous pair of heels? How can you not love him?
My man should have come with a crown.
That’s a great depiction of Starscream. I have too many hobbies. I need to keep telling myself this while watching your videos

Kind of surprised at how much of the engineering it shares with the modern Earthrise mold!
3:26 * Audible Popping of Joints *
Starscream: "Uuughh...I'm gonna feel that in the morning."
I don’t know why, but when you flipped the nose back to reveal his head, it was kinda funny to me.
I remember people complaining about how earthrise Starscream was pretty much a bigger version of Classics. Being someone who lost his copy so early on when I started collecting, I really didnt care lol
Copped a Thundercracker ( I think ) in the eye as a kid, i wish i could say i learned from it... :D
Always hear how nice the Classics Seekers are. One day I shall own one. Good review yo!
its pretty cool that it transforms in the same way that the earthrise one does!
Every time I see Steve from Accounting, my heart breaks a little.
I had the sky warp repaint and loved him. I used to play with him in the office during calls while waiting for the customer to get around to telling what there issue was.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for stars cream.
Oh yeah, the creak and crack from those tail fins made me shudder even through video.
Those tailfins folding was very stressful

I'll bet there is a video out there on how to replace screws etc. The cracking could probably be filled with epoxy resin or some such gubbins.
Hell yeah Starscream!
Wib flirting with me, that's a Like.

I blame the fact I threw the instructions away a decade and a half ago for forgetting that hah
That's weird you have that tailfin problem I love this mold I have like 6 copies and they're all still kicking no problems
Are you saying we could be MORE than enemies? Oh my...
holy shit how long has that Applejack Cutie Mark Crew figure been there? I love that toy line :3, so adorable that you have one
I'm afraid everything under the monitor is Snipe's. I have very little knowledge of MLP, although I admit the tiny horse figure is quite adorable.
That figurine is almost legal age...😅
@Gothead420 - almost? Wib’s in the U.K. remember; that Starscream *is* legal age. 🤭
@@lordofuzkulak8308 well thats enough internet for today
Oh my 😏
Okay...
I play an Island and pass turn.
What is the name of the synth music at the end? It's not in the description and audio search doesn't help.
It's Trypticon's theme from the G1 Transformers cartoon :)
bro why the jobbythehong music 🤨

@@WibDoesStuff yeah it's the same lol. cool coincidence tbh, the song slaps
Out of interest, which song was it? The background music or the outro music?
@@WibDoesStuff the background music lol
Ah, cheers :)
I m selling my Takara Scream
And my Acid Storm and Thundercracker. I m saluting all of them, I feel it's time to move on
