I did too! I drew them constantly and I still have some of the sketches I did. In in my 60's and just started learning watercolor a year or so ago and I have yet to try a horse. I'm working up to it. Emily does lovely horses.
You are seriously talented! Thank you for inspiring me to take up watercolors again after not using them for 35 years. I hope to become as good as you one day. You are a great teacher, too, btw. I'm so happy to have found your channel! God Bless..
What a beautiful piece of fine Art 🎨 I absolutely loved seeing this little horse being created I dig all the fine edges and color too wonderful job 🐴 ❤✌️
OMG, I LOVE your way of teaching this! Since i was a young kid, one of my fave things to draw were horses! I've been wanting to paint one in water color and BAM, your video showed up on you tube! Tyvm for creating this video!!!! ❤
Hullo Emily, I truly enjoed watching this video! I have been commissioned to do horse portraits for years and it was a staple of my Art business and I know I averaged 2 or more a year! for over 10 years! I got horse lovers and rodeo queens even roping champions who wanted more than just a photo of their achievements! I will say most every painting was done from a photo as getting any animals to "sit" even for a photo can be a real challenge! I thought you did a wonderful job in getting the essence of this lil' paint pony! Watching you fill in the back end? Wonderful! I am enjoying watching you paint and I am so glad your sharing your artists journey here on TH-cam! Thank You.
Beautiful. I could cry❤ looks so much like my paint Morgan I had years ago. Its like you just painted Star. You did a beautiful job as usual, but I just love your horse paintings❤
Hi can tell me when you use the grainer brush are you using white or are using a light gray on the white paper I have tried a number of your projects and find them good to follow thank you
What brand paints you use? I want your brushes !!! Do you mix bleed proof white with water ? Also can you do this without setting the paper first?? How would you make the soft edges then?? I can’t do wet on wet cuz it bleeds to much ugh I’m a beginner but want to improve so bad! Your video is great :)
I subscried to your watercolor mastery course. Can't wait to dig in! I was looking for this tutorial there, but do not see it. I was wanting to get access to the line drawing. Can you point me in the right direction?
Hi and thanks so much for joining the membership! Not every video I make for YT becomes a full length tutorial on the site. If I get enough requests for this one as a real time tutorial I would consider it! :-)
Hi Emily, I am looking for the tutorial that you did yesterday or the day before of your new puppy. It seems to be gone. Could you help me find it thank you so much I so enjoy all of your videos.
I find that a lot of times when I try to do a larger area of wet on wet, the paper seems to dry before I've reached all the parts I had wet previously, before I'm able to lay down any paint. Is this normal and I just paint too slowly, or is it more of a paper issue?
As a girl I drew horses over and over! I am now 79 years old, and can't wait to start this.
I did too! Glad you’re still doing it. ❤

It should be in the “Dogs” category. :-)

You can add a smudge of water on the dry areas when needed 😊
