You will carry on but you will never forget. Had my 1st motorcycle stolen, left the key in the ignition like a 20 year old dope. A tough life lesson learned. Had insurance to ease the pain. You wonder if this was the work of neighborhood bottom feeders or did someone follow you home from the trail waiting for you to let your guard down days latter. You represent the best of you tube and deserve all you're success. Please no response.
Couple years ago the same thing happened to me. I left my garage door open except it was 4 in the afternoon with me and my family home! Don't know how some crook could do that in broad daylight and yet I live in a very safe neighborhood. Bike was never found. I know how it feels to get a bike stolen too Brian. Keep riding on!
That's sad, but I am glad that you have the right attitude to go through things of this nature. As long as you have this mind set you will over come any obstacle that comes in your way. Best of luck in future and keep up the good work!
Total bummer man... I'd be devastated if it happened to me. But you have a great attitude and it's inspiring. And I'm glad it's not holding you back from making these awesome videos bro. Very glad I found your channel. I guess on the plus side of it all... You get to go bike shopping again!
Sorry to hear about the thefts. That really sux. Glad it wasn't the Bronson or the Pivot. Keep making videos. They inspire me to get out more and has helped me plan some upcoming rides.
that's a bummer, early this summer my wife and I had both our bikes stolen while camping. But sort like you, we got over it right away and bought replacements the following weekend.
Sorry about your bikes man! You did however get lucky in that you didn't have to face a home invasion. Keep pumping out great content, love your channel!
Man, I'm sorry to hear about this. This is definitely my worst fear ever! I think of this as some seriously bad Karma for whoever did this. Keep going man loving your videos!
Sorry to hear that, It's the worst feeling ever when your stuff gets stolen! Glad you have a light at the end of the tunnel to keep moving forward to a new bike journey! Have a good 4th!🍻
I would of broke down and cried :( the feels... Feel so sorry for you, people genuinely need to get a life and get their own things, hope you get them back :)
Man, you seem super chill for having your bikes stolen, and they weren't exactly cheap. if that were to happen to me I'd freak. can't wait to see your new rig though
Thanks, man. I'm no Zen master but what can you do except keep moving forward? People get way too hung up on the past! I can't wait either, even though the indecision may kill me.
Sorry man! I just stumbled on your channel recently and it's great. Keep it up! Hopefully some of the manufacturers will help here and hook you up with some good pricing. You're definitely a positive contributor to the community.
Thanks, man, I appreciate the support and such a great complement. Love the idea of having relationships with the bike companies, and being able to keep my independence without having to sell out.
Anywhere...no my friend. In Switzerland i leave my hardtail oldish (but still XTR, carbon bar, retractable seat post) bike without lock at the train station and i forgot it there for two nights.
May the thief find that the bike headset squeaks, and never find the source. May the dropper come up hard in the middle of a downhill and hit him square in the nuts. May his brakes fail on a steep switchback, just above a pile of pungent dogshit.
Dude I feel your pain. I had two bikes, a Yeti and a Trek stolen from my garage overnight a few years back. Someone must have seen me putting them away, came back in the early hours and rammed the garage door off. These days my bikes live in the house. Hope you get your bikes replaced soon. May all bike thieves piss barbed wire for eternity.
-Man that sucks, that you bikes have been stolen (especially the SB66c). Great positive reaction with your vid. Keep up good work, really enjoy the videos. Happy trails to ya and your new ride (when it comes a long)
live in Western Australia and I always leave it open and one night someone came in and my German Sheppard saved my Santa Cruz chameleon v7. I am so lucky, and the ironic thing is my dogs name is lucky.
I've had two bike stolen from me in my life. The second was stolen off my two story balcony while I was vacuuming my small apartment for no more than 7 min. I know the feeling. Took me about 2 years before I was able to save up and ride again.
Hey dude sorry to see you've had your bike stolen it's a horrible feeling of someone been in your property and taken stuff. I'v had a mtb stolen in the past and it took me months to get over it because it wasn't cheap and still was paying for the bike police never found it (or shall I say didn't bother doing anything about it) but got two mountain bikes and a road bike now and all is good 😊 keep smiling 👍👍👍
I'm so sorry. I'm late on this just found you this week and love your videos. Now I've had quite a few stolen too. One was the same way I only left the door open for a while and went outside and the bike was gone. Once on vacation with 3 hard tails chained together were taken. One thing I do now is I do chain both my MTB and road bike chained in my garage. My name is Wes this is my wife iPad so it may say her name. I thought I was a fairly good rider but a lot older than you but nowhere in your skill class.
Thanks Wes! It was a huge bummer. I hate to be so paranoid to have to chain my bike up while it's IN my garage but I may just do that when my new one comes.
That super sucks!! I live in Santa Cruz and its almost a daily occurrence that a high end bike gets stolen. Lost my Santa Cruz Bronson the same way. BTW you could probably buy a garage door opener that drops the door automatically, we got one. Love the video's!!
Wow bro! I just stumbled across your channel a few days ago and been binge watching your vids. I like your channel and what you bring and how you express your content. Watching this vid I found out you live in Vallejo and that's where I live too! Hope your channel continues to grow and actually, I really might, "see you on the trails"! 👍
Just switched from a 2015 Stumpjumper to a Santa Cruz Hightower. The HT is lightyears more fun, but I think you already knew that from your review. Go pick up that Bronson...you want, we want it, make it happen!
Man what a bummer. You ripped that SB66. But insurance coving them, getting to ride a nice Stumpy in the meantime, and new Bronson possibly- there's some definite silver lining! Way to knock that dust off and get back on that saddle!
ahhh snap!! sorry to hear man, that sucks so bad. hopefully u can recover ur bikes. I so like your Yeti sB66c I just bought a SB66 alloy version of that bike man. I got a 26er but it's alright as long I have the SB66 lol
Bro it's time to get that Bronson!!! There will ALWAYS be a better something out there, don't chase that dream. You love that bike so go with your heart. I rode one and felt the exact same way you do about it. It was amazing! The only other rig I'd like to check out is the YT Capra CF Pro Race before making my decision. PS I saw the new Bronson colors and it's going to be hot! Should be announced in another week or two. The one color will look very similar to your Yeti blue from the picture I saw. Much better than the current purple ish color Bronson this year in my opinion.
+Ryan Dunkle Thanks, man! Your comment put a big smile on my face! I really want to check out some YTs but nothing doing around here. Dude, a new Bronson with an even sweeter paint job dropping soon?! FUCK YEAH
+BK-XC glad I could help, you're gonna love the new colors! We'll be getting our pocket books ready lol oh and there should be some events on your side of the country. I called YT and they have a bunch of places they'll be on the west coast. Give them a call and see where the next closest place will be and go rip it up! :)
Bummer, that sucks! My dad did the same thing on spring cleaning garbage night and a bunch of his tools and air compressor got stolen! At least insurance is going to cover the cost.
Hope your insurance come through for you and doesn't flake. My SC Tallboy LTc is worth more than my car. I live in El Dorado Hills but still, I've always kept it locked to my garage rack AND kept the door closed. Yes -- paranoid! ;-) Good luck!
I saw the way you clamped your dropper post, I would clamp it by the outer post rather than putting pressure on the seal especially of the bike is heavier
Exactly, Vallejo has a bad rap but it's a pretty cool place. It's so central to so many mountain bike trails it's crazy. And yes, it was like taking candy from a baby so I think it would have happened anywhere.
nah australia is pretty good, just stay away from the cities, about 30 mins out in the right direction you can leave your bike on the street and it will be fine
Dude totally know how you feel. I left my parents garage door open for like two hours during the day and some loser snag my Cannondale F5. I know it's not carbon, but it was my SoCal bike that I had there when I would come visit since I live in FL. now. Anyways dig the new bike, just saw the new bike day video! Congrats!
I feel for ya Brian. Had 2 MTBs stolen from me back in the day when I lived in Livermore. W O R S T feeling ever. And when you count on them for transportation...very inconvenient. But hey Bronson all the way now!
Late to the party but I've spent over £250 on new locks this year after each attempted theft of my bike. They do it in broad day light and with electric angle grinders! When challenged they hurl abuse at you. They just don't give a shit. One day I'm sure my bike will be stolen...this year no doubt. I feel and share your frustrations and count myself lucky it hasn't happened yet! Keep up the fantastic videos.
So I stumbled across this video from randomly checking "related videos" (which we all just know how random that can be), and so although the original topic is not relevant to me, I couldn't help but click with the part where you're talking about Walt Disney and all that... Long story short, that's where I feel like I'm at in my own path. Starting to lay the foundation for multiple revenues for career paths, networking, reaching out, to the point I'm starting to just go "eh, let's just throw myself out there regularly and see what happens!" And I sure do see little things here and there happening to where it keeps giving me faith that I have to keep at it and stay motivated, stay ambitious, and not get complacent. Idk if you'll see this, but moments like this, where coincidence collides with a seemingly developing path, I can't help but enjoy it for what it is and assume it was by accident or coincidence at all 😎🤓 cheers! Hmu when in Fruita/GJ
BKXC I'm actually from Roseville, CA but moved out here to Grand Junction last year, about the same time I got into mtb as well as when I found your channel. In fact, watching your vids from out here like on gunny loop encouraged me to ride more
i feel you .. got some stuff stolen from me too.. my hardtail bike laptop and a little cash.. its when we think that everybody is good that we forget we live in a harsh world
ouch!! sorry to hear buddy. 3 days ago, my buddy got his SC Tallboy LT ($6K) stolen also (San Jose), same reason as yours..garage door opened.. He's in the process of Home Owners Insurance claim, looks like it will come thru. Look more into that if you havent. Best of luck to you. Life moves on!!!
yeah...hope so..but i think his deductible is a tad high. At least he will get something back. Im watching your Crockett Hills clip now, i love that trail, but from what i have heard, it's pretty teared up nowaday, especially on the flow section.
Don't believe the rumors! Crockett Hills is alive and well. Flow section is fine. The Soaring Eagle trail is a bit bumpy and not perfect but it's no big deal. Come on out and ride it!
thats so cool that you live in vallejo! I live in san leandro CA and ride crocket trails alot! Pretty cool to have a famous mountain biker that lives near me
I have really good insurance and I had two bikes stolen. it took just about 3 months to complete the process, so you have time to wait out some new bike releases.
sorry to hear that, but on the bright side you getting it cover by your insurance wich is really nice!!... i own a santacruz bronson 2015 and is an awesome bike so i think you'll be happy with it good luck.
Dude that really sucks. I'm glad your insurance picked it up for you. Good to know. I wonder if insurance would have stepped up if they were stolen from your vehicle. As I type this my bike is locked to the roof of my car. I live in a relatively safe area. In fact I likely would not have a problem just leaving it leaned up against my car all day, but you never know.
+1975lap Yeah, I bet I would be a different story if it was stolen from my car. Which is funny because I pay way less for homeowners insurance than car insurance.
Had my yamaha fzr 1000 stolen years back so i know that empty feeling. Might as well do what i plan to do now. Wait to see what 2017 models bring and then make a decision on a new bike. Also might be able to pick up that 2016 bronson a little cheaper if you can find one
came to this vid by accident. l realised it's an old clip. Were you able to get your bikes back? l would have a melt down if someone pinched my pride and joy. Recently a cousin here in Tassie had his bike stolen while locked to a bike rack. He got on social media with photos and specs. Within 2 weeks the police ( thanks to a tip from someone on facebook) arrested this guy. Who had a garage full of stolen shit. My cousin got his bike back. You have a special kind of attitude my friend.
Man that sucks. :( I grew up in Fairfield and spent plenty of time in V-Town. If you want to demo an Intense Tracer or Spider let me know. Would be happy to hit up Auburn or D-Ville with ya.
So I was thinking of putting a paper in the tube like Seth recommends and then putting a hidden GPS tiny little thing somewhere very hidden. I do have the stash box on my Enduro. Then also putting a decoy GPS like under the saddle. This way I can identify it with the paper for police and locate it via GPS...
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your yeti. Living in the San Luis Obispo area. Huge mtb community around here. Any unique items on the bike that separates your SB?
+Dennis Fidel Thanks, man! I would bet that all the stolen Norcal bikes end up in Socal and vice versa. But nothing on my bike that would be spotted on first glance. I had a chip in the carbon on the top tube I covered up with a black Lizard Skins patch. Lots of other little stuff that I'm already forgetting.
Rule #1- NEVER ADVERTISE anything that you own. In this video I see a ton of valuables that anyone would want to steal. People see you with all those bikes going in and out of your garage makes you a target! Who ever stole those bikes knows there are more to steal. Good luck!
I know how it feels.. once my brother and I just left our bikes in front of our garage without even putting them in, and when by brother woke up to ride to soccer practice, they weren't there.
That's such a bummer. I'm really glad the insurance is going to kick in and help with the new bike expenses. Are you going to get a new Road bike as well, or just put it all on the new Bronson, I mean, the new bike?
I was pretty damn surprised insurance was so generous. Feel like AAA has my back now. So the way it works is that they will send me a certain amount for each bike and then when I actually purchase the replacements they send me the rest of the money. So I will have to buy a road bike separately and show them the receipt. Definitely crossed my mind!
I know you are more of an uphill rather than a downhill kinda guy , however I'd still like to hear your opinion on the Pivot Firebird. Keep on keeping on man !!
My ex wife left me with an empty house, i wrote a funny blues song about it, but she left the bike, i was so relieved, and bought a french press, and with coffee everything solved. Nice Santa Cruz, i waiting my new Genius 920 to arrive Guatemala.
Vallejo sucks for this type of stuff. Given your passion, Marin or Auburn, tile GPS trackers. Solve most of this stuff. If they know you have end stuff, they will be back. So sorry, had a MTB bike stolen. I feel your pain.
Very happy to hear insurance is covering the cost..very nice. Btw, I know you liked that Thunderbolt..different bike than the Bronson, but do you like the Santa Cruz more ? Oh, and before you make a decision I must remind you to demo the sb4.5c..maybe not your thing but you gotta give it a shot. Good luck!
Thanks Manny! I definitely want to give the SB4.5c a try. I did like the Bronson more than the Thunderbolt, but the Thunderbolt was absolutely fantastic. The Thunderbolt handled all those big BC drops just fine, but I just don't have all those drops where I ride, so I think the Bronson is #1.
Yea..you're getting a Bronson ;) Anyway, thanks for this video. Great attitude to have as it definitely encourages people to have the same perspective.. much appreciated.
Why don't you have a sensor so you can know it's open??? Or security cams? I actually left my garage door open yesterday...prob a dozen times a year, but i live in a community with no thru traffic from strangers.
YOu need to get an automatic garage door closer, a Nest Camera in your garage and some motion lights outside and inside your garage. Under a few hundred books, but screw the money it will save you an enormous amount of stress......
I live in a small flat but I keep my bikes in the flat and not the cellar. Would never dare leave them anywhere else.... Just got my Habit and its like my best friend, didnt know you could have soooo much fun on a bike. Maybe I better keep it in bed, then I will wake up if case someone feels the need to rip me off!
What's is amazing is these Herbert's must be on patrol the whole time , cos on the rare occasion we slip up they cash in . If I get stung I think of my loss incurred spread over a lifetime , it's a lot less painful!!! Works out around £1 a week no biggy ; )
Damn bro that's f* up! Bad karma to that bitch ass thief, hope he eats it hard. You got a great attitude hope things work out. Looking forward to riding with you when you head my way.
Trying to respond to every comment but TH-cam seems to have throttled me for responding to so many! I WILL NOT BE STOPPED
quicky2103: Dude, that little pep talk almost pushed me over the edge!
BKXC I love your videos man! Keep up the great work. Your Chanel deserves a lot more subs !!!👍👍
We appreciate all the replies you give! You're a great TH-camr and person Brian! It's great you were able to acquire a Santa Cruz Bronson ...
Why do you take the reflectors off the wheels?
I'd rather someone steal my car than my bike. It's not even about the money. Just love my bike that much.
I agree 100%
Carlos Almendárez idk man, I love my truck, a man and his truck, with his bike in the back.
a car is easier to get back
VIN, registration
My bike is worth more than my car so...
Manus Kenny Not really... if you do not get it back in several days, probably it is burned....
That's sucks they took your bikes. At least you are a very positive person. Live and learn my friend. Thanks for sharing. Your story.
Feel so sorry for you, but you made a point of how to get on it. Cant wait to see your new ones coming. You are a cool man!
Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise and an opportunity to get that Bronson or Hightower. Wishing you the best! Ride on brother!!
Thanks for the love, man! The insurance company is being pretty great, so to get a brand new bike out of this is pretty crazy.
Wow! I hate to be so paranoid but you gotta protect your stuff. Thanks Nolan
That's sad, but I am glad that you have the right attitude to go through things of this nature. As long as you have this mind set you will over come any obstacle that comes in your way. Best of luck in future and keep up the good work!
+Sohaib Younus Thanks so much! I agree, we can't get too hung up on the past.
Total bummer man... I'd be devastated if it happened to me. But you have a great attitude and it's inspiring. And I'm glad it's not holding you back from making these awesome videos bro. Very glad I found your channel. I guess on the plus side of it all... You get to go bike shopping again!
Thanks for stopping by, dude!
Sorry to hear about the thefts. That really sux. Glad it wasn't the Bronson or the Pivot.
Keep making videos. They inspire me to get out more and has helped me plan some upcoming rides.
Thanks so much John! So glad to hear you got a little inspiration from my videos!
that's a bummer, early this summer my wife and I had both our bikes stolen while camping. But sort like you, we got over it right away and bought replacements the following weekend.
oh yeah and our insurance covered one of our bikes, so it wasn't a total loss.
Such a bummer, but life goes on!
Sorry about your bikes man! You did however get lucky in that you didn't have to face a home invasion. Keep pumping out great content, love your channel!
Thanks so much Peter!
Man, I'm sorry to hear about this. This is definitely my worst fear ever! I think of this as some seriously bad Karma for whoever did this. Keep going man loving your videos!
+Joe Aveytia Thanks for the love, Joe! What goes around comes around!
Sorry to hear that, It's the worst feeling ever when your stuff gets stolen! Glad you have a light at the end of the tunnel to keep moving forward to a new bike journey! Have a good 4th!🍻
+Edd Arell Thanks Edd! Really appreciate it.
I would of broke down and cried :( the feels... Feel so sorry for you, people genuinely need to get a life and get their own things, hope you get them back :)
Thanks man, appreciate it. Can't stew too long in the pain, gotta keep moving!
Bummer! Time to get a garage door opener with a timer that autoshuts. Saved us from accidentally leaving it open a couple of times.
Definitely!
Haha, patience is key here, wait until this season is over and find a closeout on 2016 models
That's a damn good strategy.
Sorry to hear about your bikes. Way to stay positive though!! Just started watching your videos but I'm Hooked! thanks for all the hard work you do
Thanks man! Welcome to the channel!
Sorry man! I just stumbled on your channel recently and it's great. Keep it up! Hopefully some of the manufacturers will help here and hook you up with some good pricing. You're definitely a positive contributor to the community.
Thanks, man, I appreciate the support and such a great complement. Love the idea of having relationships with the bike companies, and being able to keep my independence without having to sell out.
ah, good point about being independent.. that's much appreciated too!
I really love how positive u r after this sad experience i hope it never happens again
Thanks man me too!
BK-XC if it was my scott stolen id be ballin my eyes
sorry to hear about the bikes man. glad the insurance is going to cover them though. you seem like a cool guy btw, hope the channel takes off.
+Alex King Thanks man, I really appreciate the kind words! I'm going to keep riding the best trails in the world as long as you guys keep watching.

Hahaha yes!!
Sorry to hear all this man, what a terrible feeling. Hopefully the insurance will give you enough to pick up a sweet new ride.
+SinnfullDuck Thanks, man, appreciate the support. I'll definitely have enough to buy a new bike. Too many choices!
Haha, just got to where you said the insurance is getting you a new bike. I suppose I should just watch the whole video before commenting!
+SinnfullDuck Haha, I do the same thing! Can't wait sometimes.

+Rangi K Thanks, man! I appreciate the kind words.
I have also had 2 bikes stolen, and they were locked up at school during the school day. That feeling truly sucks ass.
Ugh! The worst

Hahaha that's great
Sending some serious manly hugs man. But new bike day awaits!
Thanks, dude! New bike day will be glorious.
I'd cry if my 2015 trek ticket s was stolen... I feel for ya
Yeah, it's a tough one!
jeffrey McKinley First thought when i saw your picture was: wow that's a very long poop! 😂
I've had two bike stolen from me in my life. The second was stolen off my two story balcony while I was vacuuming my small apartment for no more than 7 min. I know the feeling. Took me about 2 years before I was able to save up and ride again.

I feel sorry for u but I am proud how ambitious u ate. It just shows that u are meant to be an awesome rider/you tuber
Thanks Rory, I really appreciate it! I think this will end up being a blessing in disguise.

+Stewart Summerside Ugh, I definitely feel you on having to still make the payments when their is nothing to ride. But eventually it all works out!
I'm so sorry. I'm late on this just found you this week and love your videos. Now I've had quite a few stolen too. Watching this vid I found out you live in Vallejo and that's where I live too! Hope your channel continues to grow and actually, I really might, "see you on the trails"! 👍
Thanks so much, dude!!
BKXC btw, I haven't seen a video at Skyline in Napa. Have you done one or am I just missing it?
This is why i keep my bikes locked up even in my garage. i use long coated steel cables and u locks. I highly recommend this in the future.
Tough to like a video about your bikes being stolen, but I got over right away and hit the thumbs up. My bikes are in my bedroom. My wife loves it....
Hahaha, sleep with one eye open!
Just switched from a 2015 Stumpjumper to a Santa Cruz Hightower. The HT is lightyears more fun, but I think you already knew that from your review. Go pick up that Bronson...you want, we want it, make it happen!

great attitude bro, GL with the channel !
Thanks!

Brian’s bikes are like his best friends
I live in Australia and leave my garage door open a lot, exposing my bikes but no one steals soooo come live in aus
Haha sounds good!
Alex Drayton just wait something will happen
Chihiro Gustafson nar honestly, Australia is the place to be
nah australia is pretty good, just stay away from the cities, about 30 mins out in the right direction you can leave your bike on the street and it will be fine
Alex Drayton what bikes
Dude totally know how you feel. I left my parents garage door open for like two hours during the day and some loser snag my Cannondale F5. I know it's not carbon, but it was my SoCal bike that I had there when I would come visit since I live in FL. now. Anyways dig the new bike, just saw the new bike day video! Congrats!
Ughh! It still hurts no matter what gets taken. Thanks for the love!
I feel for ya Brian. Had 2 MTBs stolen from me back in the day when I lived in Livermore. W O R S T feeling ever. And when you count on them for transportation...very inconvenient. But hey Bronson all the way now!
Boo! Yep, blessing in disguise.
Brutal man! What a battle.
Wow that sucks. I'm in Pittsburg cali. I feel your pain.
Definitely!
That's so cool man! Absolutely love hearing that you got a little spark from this!
BKXC I'm actually from Roseville, CA but moved out here to Grand Junction last year, about the same time I got into mtb as well as when I found your channel. In fact, watching your vids from out here like on gunny loop encouraged me to ride more
Aww man this sucks! I've had bikes stolen in the past and it's such a horrible feeling :( we're they insured?
Yes, insurance is going to cover them, which is great.
can't wait to see u back on the trail with your new trail shredder! #bringbackhisbike
Hahahaha, that's great.
i feel you .. got some stuff stolen from me too.. my hardtail bike laptop and a little cash..
its when we think that everybody is good that we forget we live in a harsh world
Yep, always someone willing to take the easy way!
My dads Kona Abra Kadabra was stolen not long ago but I just hope whoever stole is enjoying as much as he did
Yeah, that's really a good way to look at it!
ouch!! sorry to hear buddy.
Brutal! Let's hope his insurance adjuster is as good as mine! I was able to get 100% of the value of my bikes.
yeah...hope so..but i think his deductible is a tad high.
Come on out and ride it!
thx for the reassuring. Will hit it soon.
thats so cool that you live in vallejo! I live in san leandro CA and ride crocket trails alot! Pretty cool to have a famous mountain biker that lives near me
Nice! Crockett is such a sweet spot. I have a video about it as well, check it out!
I have really good insurance and I had two bikes stolen. it took just about 3 months to complete the process, so you have time to wait out some new bike releases.
Thankfully it only took a few weeks for me, but actually getting the bike took a couple months!
This is so bad, it's a big problem over here in the uk too. I'm sorry to hear this.
Glad to hear insurance will pay up. Looking forward to seeing what you get.
+Steve B Thanks man! Damn Herbert's.
+Steve B It's a huge relief! Hoping the bike will finally arrive next week but no guarantees. Always a waiting game.
Well it will arrive soon, just seems to take an age when you're waiting for something you're eager to get.
+Steve B Definitely! Looks like another 10 days at least.
sorry to hear that, but on the bright side you getting it cover by your insurance wich is really nice!!... i own a santacruz bronson 2015 and is an awesome bike so i think you'll be happy with it good luck.
Thanks man, I appreciate that. It's amazing how everything seems to work out in the end.
That sucks. Had the exact same thing happen in '01, but my old room mate left the garage door open. Ugh.
Ugh, always a bummer!
Sorry to hear that man. Perfect excuse to get a new bronson yea? Hehes. Take care man. Cheer up and happy trails :)!
You know it! Thanks for the support.
Exactly! I don't mind being a cheapskate bargain hunter! I had a crazy 20% off coupon that I used for my Yeti when I bought it that took $1,000 off.
My first real sho quality MTB was stolen a few years ago. Not the same value as yours but the feeling was the same as you described.
Ugh, it's the worst!
It is for sure. You and seth ride safe and have fun!
came to this vid by accident. l realised it's an old clip.
I wasn't able to get my bikes back, but I didn't go looking very hard. I'm curious if they're just sitting around in a police station somewhere.
Man that sucks. :( I grew up in Fairfield and spent plenty of time in V-Town. If you want to demo an Intense Tracer or Spider let me know. Would be happy to hit up Auburn or D-Ville with ya.
Yes! You're JCWages on MTBR, right? Shoot me an email (on my about page) and we can plan a shred session.
Glad you had insurance!
Definitely a good thing to try!
Good luck!
Just watched the vid about your sad news.Best of luck in gettng through your tough time. How long did you have your Yetti? Des P
Thanks, Des. I had the Yeti for 4 years, so it was getting up there in age!
Dude that sucks so much!
I know how it feels.. once my brother and I just left our bikes in front of our garage without even putting them in, and when by brother woke up to ride to soccer practice, they weren't there.
Ugh, yeah, giving you some PTSD probably.
Great attitude! Happy 4th.
Thanks man, you too!
This actually why I lock my bike to my garage wall, because I do forget to close my garage on occasion.
Yep, good call
Yeah, I'd love to ride that bike!
My ex wife left me with an empty house, i wrote a funny blues song about it, but she left the bike, i was so relieved, and bought a french press, and with coffee everything solved. Nice Santa Cruz, i waiting my new Genius 920 to arrive Guatemala.
Onwards and upwards dude!
Vallejo sucks for this type of stuff. Given your passion, Marin or Auburn, tile GPS trackers. Solve most of this stuff. If they know you have end stuff, they will be back. So sorry, had a MTB bike stolen. I feel your pain.
Now you have an excuse to give yourself the new Bronson
Yup, I probably would have just waited and waited, now I'll have that money burning a hole in my pocket.
Haha. Thanks for the love!
Your bikes and the video is the best video ever
Thanks Tej
Why don't you have a sensor so you can know it's open??? Or security cams? I actually left my garage door open yesterday...prob a dozen times a year, but i live in a community with no thru traffic from strangers.
YOu need to get an automatic garage door closer, a Nest Camera in your garage and some motion lights outside and inside your garage. Under a few hundred books, but screw the money it will save you an enormous amount of stress......
Whats up ! Awesome channel , Whats insurance do you currently use for your bike ?
I used my homeowner's insurance.
Super sorry to hear that bro.
Actually, your review of the bronson made me buy it. Hopefully we get to see your new bike soon (if you haven't bought one yet)
Thanks man! I'm glad I could help you out. I have bought a new bike but just WAITING for it to come now.
Which is what? Wow I'd love to see that build!
+Nico Limchoc Keeping the new bike a secret until I get it and it upload the video!
lol ok will wait for it! thanks!
Sorry to hear that... but, time to get this Bronson
+Mateusz Plewicki That's what I'm thinking.
Hahaha, might be a little greasy but it's worth it!
;-)
I know this is 2 years ago but you really need to secure your bikes with a wall mount and motor bike chain with a good lock
What's is amazing is these Herbert's must be on patrol the whole time , cos on the rare occasion we slip up they cash in . If I get stung I think of my loss incurred spread over a lifetime , it's a lot less painful!!! Works out around £1 a week no biggy ; )
+Mitch W Hahaha, gonna have to use "Herbert's" as slang now. That's a great way to look at it, Mitch!
Sorry to hear man :(
It's all good!
Sorry to hear this
Onward and upward!
Damn bro that's f* up! Bad karma to that bitch ass thief, hope he eats it hard. You got a great attitude hope things work out. Looking forward to riding with you when you head my way.
+Tommy Huynh Thanks man! I'm always thinking about a trip to SoCal. I'll let you know!
just curious about the insurance... did they cover the stolen bikes at "bluebook" value (including depreciation)? or the cost to replace it new?
Cost to replace it new, pretty crazy.
