- The young incarnation of Link had prominent appearances in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. He even made it into Super Smash Bros. Melee and Ultimate.

The fact that Young Link in Hyrule Warriors is Hero of Time after he’s gone through BOTH OOT AND MM means he’s the most terrifying person in the entire game in terms of sheer life experience.

@Sidney J. Duffy Young Link's nickname is Link of the Past and seeing him come back to Ultimate having everything Link had from previous Smash Bros. games get my point across. I treat Young Link as the real deal, as Toon Link is just a cartoon version of Young Link. While Toon Link did replace Young Link in Brawl and Smash 4, just because the latter was treated as trash in Melee, I'd go for Young Link. Young Link is the real deal, and Toon Link is just a cartoon version of Young Link.

Tuxedo Toad Yeah! he could've added command inputs for different masks. Example: Goron link for side neutral, he would roll in a ball and for jab and others he would punch. That's just an example. As you said, fierce deity link for the final smash would be perfect. THINK SAKURAI, THINK!

The thing i really like about Young Link is the heroic deeds he made, specially in Majora's Mask were he fought his hardest trials while being just a child, and playing Majora's Mask and OoT back in the day as a kid made the experience so empowering.
Quadraxis But didn't the people of Hyrule forget what happened after going back in time to stop Ganondorf? Link as a child probably really didn't get acknowledged for saving the world.

And after all that, he finally found Navi.

I thought it was amazing to see Young Link brought back as both a rep to the legacy of Ocarina of Time as well as a means of using Link’s traditional moveset from Smash Bros.
For those that think he looks the same in Ocarina and Majora's Mask, no. His hair, ears, and eyes changed and he has a belt around his tunic in Majora unlike his young form in Ocarina.

They don't have the same actor.... Young Link is voiced by Fujiko Takimoto and Toon Link is voiced by Sachi Matsumoto

@@Etrodecim Well they actually did have the same va in one game which was Four Swords and that was technically Toon Link's first appearance so you could say Toon Link's original va was Fujiko Takimoto.

@@Etrodecim Idk man, go check the Evolution of Toon Link. There, it shows that Four Swords was the first game which started Toon Link even though that's not the same incarnation as the one from Wind Waker.
the only bad thing i see about making these evolution videos is if you don't make them, everyone gets mad at you, but if you do, then you have to change it when the new game comes out involving the character

To think Hyrule Warriors was Young Link's first appearance in an HD graphics game no matter the fact that the Wii U came up short on popularity with very few great games is great and all but his design in Smash Ultimate is what really reawakens the undying hope that both Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask get HD remasters like Twilight Princess and Wind Waker did.
Young Link is awesome for someone that's young. He's one of my favorites.

Young Link saving the world but ending up as a Stalfos in Twilight Princess is the biggest injustice to a hero. Not sure if Ganon had a hand in that one (to stop the Hero's endless cycle of rebirth).

In terms of Zelda characters in the Super Smash Bros. History, Young Link was the odd one out since his two Super Smash Bros. appearances are Melee and Ultimate. I like how Young Link in Ultimate fights the same as Link from Smash 64 to Smash 4 and has Link's original on-screen entrance animation due to Link getting a Breath of the Wild makeover. In fact, seeing Link get his Breath of the Wild appearance in Ultimate makes him more distinguished from Young Link and Toon Link respectively.

Young Link's Trophy description in Melee refers to him as
the "True Link" saying in the first Zelda Game (Not Skyward),
Link was also a young child, so if this is the case Young Link is
the First chacter in Smash history to be a "Clone" who has starred
in their own title, one that came after Ocarina of Time which is the
game Link came from. The only other chacter as of Melee who has
starred in their own game is Roy because His game during the time didn't released until
after Melee.

Even though Young Link technically could possibly be "better" in his achivements.
I believe personally that any link is a very niceu link.
I was really hoping that Young Link in Ultimate received the same treatement he got in HW, having more of the Majora's Mask representation instead of OoT just because he was like that in Melee.
