The one scene where I thought like actually showed some life and character! When he slams the crystal was huge for me when I was young. So I had a lot of fun re-creating it
I cut out A LOT literally I had an entirely different ending, fully animated, ill post it sometime
I started animating this when my composer Brock Hewitt: Stories in sound was on his internship at Hanz Zimmers place in LA, so I decided to use one of his buddies to compose this videos score!
Ian is a hilarious guy who is a GENIUS on the keys, true pianist I gave him a few pointers here and there but I wanted him to do him on this one! Let us know what you think! Breath of the wild vibes
This was more of a mini scene due to all the talking, not much happens, so I hope you can still enjoy it as much as the others!
I added at the end of this scene a moment that the Zelda community has been DYING for, so I hope I did it justice !!

I love how Fi was included. It reminds me of what the Zelda from Breath of the Wild says. "Legend says that an ancient voice resonates inside it. Can you hear it yet... hero?"
The expanded lore of the series could work really well in a possible remake of OoT down the line, though I assume purists would get rather angry about those extra additions.

They did, in a way. The Master Sword glows right before finishing Ganon off. It's something that's only really significant after Skyward Sword, but it's there.

Two things I very much love about these animations.
One: Link didnt really have the ability to show emotion in the earlier games because of technical limits, but here the story is told without making him look less human (for lack of a better term). It wasn't until Twilight Princess we got to see that side of him and even then I think they held him back a little.
2: They bridge the gaps between the games. Bringing Fi into this is a dose of continuity the series can't always explore because the games were not developed with chronological order in mind.
I think the franchise as a whole benefits from having you make these 😁
he is also meant to be the LINK between the player and the game. An empty shell we put ourselves in. he also had some face emotion, and other character did have some good emotions.
The facial expressions began in Zelda Wind Waker actually.
Link being allowed to show emotion began in Wind Waker.
Hell if anything Link’s emotions in twilight princess were a down grade from wind waker
I love the subtlety in Sheik that you can see Zelda within her. I especially love the look Zelda gives Link after transforming into herself is a callback to how she gazed at Link when they met as children. Had you not known it was her it'd be a mystery. But I love the emotion in this video. Kept me watching every single second.

I just realized that at 2:08 where the the camera was panning across the triforce chandelior and stopped, it stops on the triforce of Courage with Link in the middle of it. That's a nice touch.

can you imagine a remake of Ocarina of time that incorporates all the aspects of every timeline and version of zelda like adding fi and maybe some wind waker elements in the form of new songs and some from majors masks twilight princess portals and such and maybe keep some of the things from breath of the wild would be amazing haha

@@ellegee4043 I would say that Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is worth playing especially if you’ve played Botw. I’m not too sure about the original Hyrule Warriors though but I do know some characters re-appear like Midan and Fi.

When Zelda transform into Sheik so it will chance the body from a woman to a man. So Link would be confusing if he saw a man’s body form who have a Woman face.
@@mattiasolsson1523 nah, there is no proof Zelda ever changed sex. It's more likely that she subtly altered her facial features however... plus as Sheik she was tanned and with red eyes, and Link had never seen her as an adult either: he wouldn't have recognized her either way.

I love that you put Fi into this scene. I hate her constant interfering in Skyward Sword,but I love her as a character and always think of her when I pick up the Master Sword in any other Zelda game. She was and still is always there as a silent,yet powerful companion and your version of this scene even turns her into an encouraging force that keeps the hero going when he's desperate. I love it so much.

I got chills when she was out of the master sword. Though we know Link does not know who she is, we know that she knows who he is. She understands everything that Link has been through, from the very beginning

I thought Fi was still in the sword, even up to the events of Breath of the Wild. She was just put in an "eternal" slumber within the sword in order to destroy the remnants of Demise that got sealed in the sword.

Zelda doesn't just mention a voice, Fi's sound effect plays in Breath of the Wild during one of the memories. She's in there. And she's still aiding Link.
I love how Fi was almost universally hated for the handholding she gave, but by the end of the game, her farewell scene made her worth having. And now she's a part of every game's lore, and I'm just fine with that.

When Link turns around because he hears Fay but finds Navi was so great, I had a huge smile on my face.
I once read a theory about how Fay resembles the great fairy because she encarnated to a fairy so she could help Link and watch over him (something along these lines at least) so I was like 'of course, she is Navi now'. Maybe that wasn't your intention at all but it was great to me xD

I love that addition, truly. What an awesome display of showing the love for Legend of Zelda.
You captured the reunion of Link and Zelda perfectly. The way Link ties with Sheik in a sword contest shows how Link became stronger over the course of his journey. The way Link remembers meeting Zelda as a child and then meeting her as an adult fits perfectly with the game's theme of past and future.
Zelda carried the video perfectly. Her entrance as she reveals that she was Sheik was epic. The way she emotes as she explains her indirect role in Link being sealed and Ganondorf conquering Hyrule perfectly captures her guilt. The part where she gives Link the light arrows is great, though I wish they resemble the Light Arrows from Ocarina of Time rather than the ones from Twilight Princess.
Ganondorf's entrance was epic. You can feel the helplessness of the situation as Link can't save Zelda from the crystal. The way Ganondorf taunts Link, causing the Hero of Time to snarl and then feel despair is a great way to break him. His emotions are better portrayed in this chapter as he goes from surprise, confusion, courage, despair, and hope.
Fi's cameo was a happy surprise. Her encouraging of Link was great when you remember that this Link is the first one to fight Ganondorf since Skyward Link beat Demise. It was a short scene that was very welcomed.
Way past cool! I really loved your implementation of Fi, you didn't shove her into the OoT story to the point where it becomes a fan-fiction, but to a level that fits cannonically!

You really know how to draw out the feels of the situations Link is faced with. And at this rate, we'll have a movie of Ocarina of Time by you. We've already seen the ending, but I would love to see the fight of Ganon and Link here in Ocarina of time. But in the meantime I can't wait for the next one, but the waiting is worth it for these animations.

Finally, a REAL reaction from an individual who's forced to carry a mountain on his back from a young age, not just a blank-faced robot who carries out his tasks without a single thought. The animation even displays how vindictive Ganondorf's character can be. Incredible work!

I'm a simple gamer who's still playing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on my emulator and just finished the story last week. This scene was one of my favorites for it represents Zelink and I had a feeling that it would make a great impact if Nintendo added some drama. Watching this video made me satisfied of what happened to Link and Zelda/Sheik meeting on Temple of Light. Good work as always. :)
A revelation and reunion in the depths of the dungeon, two friends come together in order to face against the evil that puts their home in peril. Though what neither knows was that this reunion it only short lived, and will be the last time they will ever see each other... at least, as the people they are now.

aaron alf Nintendo's hiring at the moment. Already told him on Instagram.
The same reason why most Japanese companies usually don't hire non-Japanese workers who aren't living in Japan already: Because getting a work visa in Japan is a bureaucratic nightmare.
Things are somewhat easier if they have some high-education degree, or 10 years of professional experience failing that. But even then, Major Link would need to speak fluent Japanese. Otherwise, Nintendo would not even consider him, since he would need to work along other Japanese developers, and they don't speak English for the most part.
If he could get a visa on his own by other means (EXTREMELY difficult, but not impossible), things could be different, though. An American programmer worked in "Breath of the Wild", and he managed to be hired by Nintendo because he got to the country as an English teacher first, which is one of the easiest ways to get a work visa, and then changed jobs once his Japanese was good enough.

Because it's not actually that good? I mean, it's not bad but this is clearly like something someone would do in their spare time in UE4 or something. Cinematography is really good, animations are above average, music is nice, but everything else is just good at best... especially things like the surrounding geometry and the colour editing are just nothing nice to look at.

Yes. Just, yes. This was an astoundingly gorgeous recreation of the cutscene from OoT, the way I always kind of imagined it to be back then... But the additions of Fi and the way Link reacts and everything just made the scene 100% better.
Also, I'm really happy to see Skyward Sword get some much needed love. It's one of my top favorite Zelda games. ^-^

After Skyward Sword, it seems (starting with Breath of the Wild) Nintendo may make it a staple to have at least one reference to Fi being inside the Sword since Skyward Sword confirms she is still alive within it! I truly hope Nintendo continues that reference like the one shown here! It's so charming and clever knowing that Link will always have someone watch over him while holding the Master Sword! Side companion or not, Fi will always be there!
