Your review was spot on...just got back from my first trip to the range with this pistol. Odd looking grip was very comfortable in my hand. I found the single action trigger to be excellent. Soft shooting. The slide is pretty narrow so you have to grip it pretty good to rack it but you get used to it. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I have that same model. I went to check out an M&P 2.0 and found this gem. Cant say enough good things about it. Low recoil. Eats every thing. They got it right. Modeled after the legendary CZ 75. Whats not to like. Git yer hands on one. You’ll love it.

@@alexacosta148 If it is modeled after the legendary CZ 75, that would tell you the CZ is the better gun. So why not buy the CZ over this Jericho?
I don't get folks that buy clones of better guns. Just buy the best not someone clone of the best.
NOTE: please do not use excuses like: "Well this IWI Jericho 941 clone (steel or polymer model) is cheaper than the Legendary CZ-75".
Yes, you will save 10 cents and lose $1 in that effort. Plus the small amount you save by not buying the better gun is negated buy the much larger cost of firearm ownership. My conclusions:
*First logical conclusion* - If you can only afford say a $400 USD firearm... You can not afford the real
      cost of ownership:
      - holster(s) $100 USD or more,
      - night sight or optics $100 USD to $400 USD,
      - gun license and registration $100 USD or more,
      - insurance for actually using the gun for it's role $,
      - cleaning supplies $100 USD or more,
      - AMMO $100s of dollars,
      - gun training classes $100 to 300 USD or more,
      - etc.
That is about $1,000 USD, the lowest basic estimate and we are not even talking about incidentals (shooting rest(s), intermediate to advance training, etc.)
*Second, logical conclusion* - If you can only afford a $400 USD firearm... You can not afford to USE it.
If you actually use the firearm your bank account will be affected *negatively.* In court (criminal & civil) it will cost you many 1,000s of dollars to defend yourself and that is *IF* you win. If you lose your life is over as the cost will be too high for anyone.
*Third, logical conclusion* - If you can only afford a $400 USD firearm... which is about a
$200 to $300 USD difference between a high-end gun companies gun to the budget companies gun, example (retail prices):
      The Taurus G3 is $350
      A Glock 17 is $550
So for about $200 USD you would skip buying a proven hard-core military/civilian pistol known for reliability? Instead you would buy a budget gun that closely copies the high-end pistol(s)?? What about the other cost to ownership (see *First logical conclusion),*
those costs are way more that this small price difference between budget gun & high-end pistol. Odd.
      *What Would General Patton Do?*
*Buy the best gun on the market for the seriousness of self-defense,* period. Anything else is salesmanship by way of Barnum.
If you can not afford the best gun on the market *you can not afford gun ownership & actually using the gun for it's intended purpose.*
So just get the best gun you can for self-defense or whatever you do with your firearms. Don't be so cheap brah.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

I have heard of the Jericho before where I believe a police officer posted about it but said that there were no left handed controls. I am left handed so I forgot about it but this polymer one looks very nice. I might consider one and I am glad the brand changed its name. I also prefer 9mm but everyone seems to be getting into the 9mm from the 40 and 45. I believe the one I first read about was a 45.

The Barrel Locking mechanism is just like a TT33 (Tok) a little modernized but the rear sight is high which will not be snug free. The over riding recoil springs will be problematic in a long run, specially when they get hot. A test of a 1000 rounds will prove its reliability.

I love my Jericho (same model shown) very very comfortable fit in hand, I was tempted to order the steel frame but the poly grip looked so much more ergonomic, I also watched comparison videos and for whatever the reason is the trigger was noted to actually be a little cleaner on the polymer model, I would have thought the opposite but it was mentioned on more than one review. I wanted the extra weight of the steel to manage recoil...but ..it's only a 9mm!! so poly it was..it is incredible! smooth, accurate, AMAZING! He said 13 +1... I am sure he misspoke, they have in 9mm 16+1... maybe he had the .45 or .40.. I don't know but being I didn't own a 9mm I opted to go with the Jericho.. for a full size service pistol you will be hard pressed to find one better. like H&K or Walther it has polygonal rifling making it more accurate and higher velocity, longer barrel life but it requires jacketed ammo ONLY!

Also instead of a hammer strut and spring like the CZ-75 or the steel 941 it uses a smaller hammer rod and spring.. Just look at the mag well... not there.. So if you want to change out the hammer spring your options are little to none.. Otherwise it's an outstanding pistol...

Polymer framed pistols are just as durable as the steel ones and are designed to last the life of the gun, provided the ammo used is within spec (ie; no high pressure handloads). Even then, you'd have to be firing a ton of hot ammo regularly for it to become an issue.

I want one, but with the de-cocker. Does IWI make a 'de-cocker' version?
I understand Mag Research still does, but I'm not a huge fan MR...

how do you put it in double action since there is no decocker

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Technically you could slowly lower the hammer. It's more of a second-strike ability if a round fails to fire.

The steel frame version have a frame mounted de cocker but the poly versions do not. Thats my only complaint with the psl but its definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Why do they put the rear sight so far forward? You are loosing 1/2 inch length of sight.

Had 1 in 9mm and another in .40, both with polymer frames. Regret getting rid of the 9mm. Would definitely get another.
