Fixed? Hmmmmm. So close. I was really looking forward to this revise. I wish they had just made a flat, clean, adjustable strap, no floppy strap keeper above the buckle. For some reason, it bugs me. Darn.

The CAS2 is like my ideal sling, the interior layout is one of my all time favs. It literally is ( like with most things it seems) almost perfect… But I will pick my MHP every time mainly because of that compressible stash spot on the front… It is so useful, I mainly use it for a coffee bottle pocket but have used it for a rain jacket. A hard shell sunglasses case fits good and You can even slip certain pouches in there like a TBB porter pen case, or a Bellroy pencil case and now you can use a half cap!!! I have even used it to carry a lens a few times.
The other reason I will usually grab the MHP is because I have the griffin version and just love love love the waxed canvas, and the HiViz interior is a big plus for me too. The BEST sling in the world would be A Phoenix or Griffin or some other better material version, with that same front compression slip pouch and slide FIDLOCK buckles at both ends. Maybe one day like you said (although the buckles I’ll probably have to do myself even if they made the rest of it)

Nice lil’ sling… I like the upgrade but I love my two buckles on my griffin sling. Would you say the slider side of the strap is convertible to a buckle without surgery? I’d like to quick release strap to mount to molle via buckles.
Yeah, that non-buckle side is probably doable, but you'd need the right kind of loop or velcro to secure it there.
the review is interesting and creative. However, I think it lacks more detailed information. what other possible non-destructive improvements/modifications on the strap? I purchased, and it's on the way.

I really like both but the CAS2 is a sleeker options when I need the fixed volume it provides. If I don't know what I'll pack then I step it up to the X-Pod

I have a bellroy, aer, kargo, and heimplanet sling and this is still the worst strapkeeper of all of them.
Interesting. But this is the same as on their other bags so can't be too critical...its the one they install...just happy they added it

Only their older CTB40 that I have has strapkeepers. My CPL doesn't.
On a backpack this thicker stuff is fine for me. But on a sling like this it's not a nice look imo.
