I love how you say that it is a hoarding thing...my husband kept asking me why I kept all the cutouts from mags...I told him I just liked them and would do something with them one day....I started a journal a couple months ago and I am so happy I did keep all those stupid little momentos. So sorry about that! Most of my videos contain a good bit of rambling, it's just what I do. I've done a few with no talking at all and I get complaints from people who miss my rambling. it seems to me that the youtubers that have lots of subbies are, for the most part, just trying to sell something. they are so commercial. personally i like channels like yours the best. you're just chatting away to us, showing us what you're up to, maybe trying to teach us a thing or two. i am always happy to see that you have posted another video. thanks!

I know, right?! It just floors me. I watch your videos and I love them, you always have cool stuff to share and your voice is pleasant. My next video has to be an "in front of the camera" thang and I'm SO not looking forward to it. Unfortunately that will be the best angle to shoot from to show what I need so I'm going to have to put on my big girl panties and just do it.
The Remains of My Days book is a composition book but the Use It Up Journal is a Moleskine Cahier which is similar to a composition book but the paper is a higher quality.

That's just so nice of you to say, thank you!! I have the most bizarre neighbors in the universe. The guy behind me sweeps his roof. Literally. He gets up there with a broom and dust pan and sweeps his roof! I live in a 2 story, he lives in a single story so I can say for sure that there is no reason for him to be up there sweeping his roof. Of course he's probably thinking that the crazy lady behind him has some twisted fascination with his roof sweeping and I guess he'd sorta be right :)

Also, I can't reply to your TH-cam comments but if you'd like to fix that here's how:
In the top right hand corner of any TH-cam page you will see a bell shaped icon. That's where your Google+notifications show up. If you click on the bell you'll see a gear icon at the top left. Click on that gear icon and it will show you your notification settings.
The word "Settings" will be highlighted in blue...click on it. Your Google+ settings will open in a new tab. The first 2 options are settings for who can interact with you and your posts. Set both of those options to "Anyone". That will insure that any time you comment on a TH-cam video, your comment can be responded to.
Ok, when do you use daddy vans on a journal like this? Especially if you are anticipating on adding stuff?
It's best to use it on completed pages...those with Mod Podge or glossy paint or anything that makes them 'tacky'. You can add to page after you've already waxed it but it can be tricky. Use just a little bit on incomplete pages and rub it in good. I've used both paint and glue on top of Daddy Van's and it will work but it can be a little tricky :)

If you look closely you'll see that my pages are far from masterpieces & there's very little or no journaling at all! I, too, will get stifled if I try to make gorgeous pages like I see online with tons of handwritten journaling and a life changing quote. Puuhleeeze!
Junk journals like this are so liberating because they give you permission to fill your pages with junk that doesn't match, doesn't make sense & has no deeper meaning. The joy is in the process.
Like I said, you make pretty art so it was worth it. :-)
