At last, a faction review for the biggest and busiest of the factions. I went a little bit lighter on the bodyguard reviews here, but did touch on them, as I went through every one of the six Space Marine Warlords in the game so far.

@@casualdadgames have you seen the balancing notes? Apparently they will buff the most underperforming lords such as Ilic and the Parasite 😍

The Parasite's trait is great, but yeah, the card itself is... Not
Illic's trait I like, but it's so fiddly to trigger. I usually either kill cards outright or take 2+ turns to kill them, so the ability rarely comes up

The Psyker warboss for Votann can also get around Acherans iron halo ability. If you drop a card in front of him with negate he loses his shield and the 5 wound ability

Just make sure to kill him in 2 turns of course :)

True!
...If you can kill him in two turns, otherwise the shield comes back. I've actually been toying with that one a bunch this week, the timing is challenging
