As an actor in SA it is hard to find this kind of encouragement amongst believers. Even if you don't agree, you can aim for understanding all while holding to your position. This is the kind of comments that put people off of Christianity - consider that maybe you model self righteousness and ignorance and inexperience within an industry as well as he 'sugar coats compromise'.
Sorry. I listened all the way through, as difficult as that was. This is an interview with a man who seems to make excuses, rather than standing on his Christian principles. He also makes excuses for people to do the same "because they're only doing their job...". Paraphrasing, but when he said 'I'd like to see a thousand Dallas Jenkins' was really scary. Until there are all these Christians in Hollywood who are willing to create biblically sound content, I'll stay far away from Hollywood.
Have you read the Bible? What you’re really asking for is to see sanitized, Western, family values. The world is full of real people, and so is the Bible. No one’s forcing you to watch what you don’t want to.
I have to agree, Dallas Jenkins theology and understanding of the Bible is scary and the fact that he has aligned himself with the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, which is a cult makes me even more skeptical of the man and anyone like him
If Christians stay away from Hollywood, it will be run entirely by non-Christians, and Hollywood is perhaps the most influential part of the world's ideas and culture. Look at Daniel for inspiration. He was a leader in several horrible empires, but in doing so was able to keep strong influence.
I find it fascinating that Sean does not respond to any comments. At least Dallas Jenkins would attempt to respond to the negative comments such as allowing Pride flags on his set. Although his response was very disappointing and the way he broke off his contract with Angel Studios is the reason my family no longer watches “The Chosen!” This man has completely compromised himself but it is not surprising. I strongly believe that once you compromise the word of God to fit the pseudo science of secularist (example is the age of the earth), you will begin to compromise on everything until what remains is Christianity in name only.

Looks like luke warm christianity with bending to culture and lack of discernment. Very focused on “love” as the world defines.
48:35 hurts my heart.
What an excellent display of sugar-coating compromise.
AMEN.
That’s good for you & I enjoyed this interview
Have you read the Bible? What you’re really asking for is to see sanitized, Western, family values. The world is full of real people, and so is the Bible. No one’s forcing you to watch what you don’t want to.
The only way to see what you truly want comes out of the entertainment business is to do it yourself.
I respond to a bunch of comments, actually. Like Dallas, I have to be selective.
@ ok, fair enough
I'm sorry I can't watch anymore gen y and younger there is a better christianity read your bibles for yourself don't listen to the lies of the older generations.
What does that have to do with anything?
Thank you for your input. Rest assured we will give it all the consideration it merits.
Yes please!
Read the parts about two bears, Onan's brother, Balaam, the dude picking up sticks, Ananias and Sapphira.
Don't let these people lie to you and say this is God of love, mercy, and justice.
@@mikehill1114I think they do address those in other videos. Gods mercy is obtained through repentance and faith, and without judgement mercy is meaningless.
@@paulacoyle5685 So your response is without sending two bears to deal with 42 boys for making fun of an old man, any mercy god showed would be meaningless?
Try to make some sense.
