Other notes about the Chiefs Super Bowl LIV ring: the 142.2 on the side that depicts Arrowhead Stadium is the official crowd noise for the loudest roar at an outdoor stadium, achieved in 2014 against the Patriots. On the inside are the scores of the three postseason wins along with the deficit the team had to overcome to win that respective playoff game.

I've actually seen that 4th Packers ring in person. I met Donny Anderson at a Grocery store in high school, and he wore the ring on his hand and I saw it. Very cool and very nice old man, and I still have the picture to this day.
The star on the Super Bowl X ring was a logo on the patch that both teams wore in the game commemorating 1976, our bicentennial year.

I haven’t finished watching the video, but I’m going to guess the rings started getting outrageous when the average cost of SB tickets started to increase. The 60’s to mid 70’s they were around $15, which is less than $100 in today’s money. Then they started to climb mid 80’s, nearly doubling in cost. Then the mid 90’s saw another price increase, nearly doubling in costs again. Then after 2000, the prices just increased by $100’s almost every year.
So an average 1967 ticket cost $12 (about $110 today) to today where the average was over $8K.
Rams diamonds are 1.12 carats to represent when Kroenke brought the team home, the day McVay joined the team, and the first playoff win, all on January 12 (sorry St. Louis)

I love how pretty much every ring from a pre-merger SB champion has the grand total of championships somewhere on it. Continuing their pre-SB champions too.
In all fairness I agree that they should have just left the redskins name alone as there are many other sports teams with names related to native Americans but for the record “because we tolerated it for 50 years” isn’t actually a good reason to do anything, we tolerated cannabis prohibition for over 50 years and that doesn’t justify one second of it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a (brief) dive into conference championship rings. I know they exist but nobody talks about them. I'm not expecting a MASSIVE amount of detail to digest but it'd be interesting to know if they've evolved over the years as well.

The Chiefs new ring is pretty crazy. It’s like the SB 54 ring, but ramped up with a few hundred more diamonds. One feature I really like is that the top comes of & it can be fashioned as a pendant, which makes it a lot more wearable than most newer, honkin’ SB rings.

I got to meet Cliff Branch at a Raiders Image meet and greet. I was probably about 12-13 years old. He allowed me to carry in my palm and even let me wear his Second Super Bowl ring the one with the Two Diamonds. Beautiful Memory and gave me a signed photo as well. Raiders For Life.

When I was in high school Jostens came to fit us for our class rings. I tried on a duplicate of John Riggins' SB ring and it would not come off over my knuckle. The guy just laughed and had to use vaseline to get it off of my hand. I was hoping I could have kept it.

So, the star on the Steeles 1976 ring wasn't an attempt at a Dallas logo. It was the official logo for the national bicentennial celebration. USA was turning 200. I saw a Jack Lambert jersey from that game, had the bicentennial logo on the front. Did every team wear that logo that year? I'll do some research and check it out.
Maybe my Philly fan is showing, but the Eagles' ring is pretty damn nice... prolly too big, though. That third Steelers one is probably the best, though; really nice design, while still being classy... Though the Saints' one is also kinda fire, ngl.
