Very late reply, but I partially think that the reason people may not understand Zidane's natural ability is because he was extremely inconsistent in both LaLiga and Serie A, which is why Pavel Nedved is viewed as having been an upgrade on Zidane for Juventus. Real Madrid, also, only won one LaLiga title whilst Zidane was at the club, where they had a star-studded team but won very little because the midfield was not consistent enough, when they needed a really strong individual in midfield, I wonder if he felt that his essentially unrivalled natural ability, truly one of the most gifted of all time, meant that the work-rate was limited in comparison to his potential.

As long as the video has been re-uploaded, I should copy my previous comment. :) He was probably the wittiest player in the history of football - only Pele and Maradona could match him in this regard. But they both were quick, agile and extremely explosive (well, until their 30s) - as for Zidane, he used to be the slowest player on the pitch. But he was so skillful with the ball and so intelligent that completely disguised his weaknesses. By the way, Barbosa, how long did it take you to get your first 100 subscribers? I achieved it in 10 months - and it would be curious to know your story.

@@pablomarmo7221 Yo soy del 71 y a Maradona tuve la suerte de verlo varias veces en el campo desde el 82 al 86....lo que hizo en el mundial contra Inglaterra sigue pareciendome la mayor barbaridad jamas vista en un campo.....a Zidane lo vi en directo decenas de veces y tenia TODO, era el jugador perfecto, porque a Diego le fallaba su actitud fuera del campo y sus problemas con las drogas
