You guys might wanna think about going to Payless or Walmart and picking up some timberland knockoff boots, instead of wearing canvas and mesh fashion sneakers to walk through debris. 🙁
I'm sure they can afford a cheap pair of work boots for about $40 at Walmart. Their videos are interesting and fun, but their safety precautions are damn near non existent.
I've mentioned this to Dan and several other urbexers who blithely walk around over piles of lumber building materials that came down decades ago, with rusty nails and animal feces, etc, all over the place. Not wearing masks is similar to riding a Harley or other "Sonermichael," as my dad used to call 'em, without a helmet (anyone who doesn't should take a good look at Gary Busey).
bah, whats a tetanus or multiples or nasty deadly infection and losing a foot from feces being driven to the bone stepping on glass, nails or other sharp object maybe even some used needles with drugs, disease or other nasty STD possibly still thriving.
I find it so comforting to see Dan, not just cause he's my Abandoned mother but because seeing you look into abandoned places with people makes me breathe easier. Keep at it!
I went to college there in u circle and knew people that lived there like 25 years ago. To be honest, it wasn't much better then. There were constant complaints about vermin, broken and unsafe facilities, drug and prostitution activity, muggings and the whole nine yards. I think Rick Sera lived there at the time and thought it was wonderful.
I think it was called Huron Place Apartments on Terrace Road in East Cleveland. If you look on Google Maps, you can see it since there are no cars in the parking lot.

It was misleading to put ABANDONED in all caps. The ABANDONED episodes have a well researched backstory. This was an EXPLORE video. BTW, love the channel.
It's amazing how thorough the scrappers were at getting to every last bit of copper wiring and piping that they could. I remember this building, from visits to see my sister, when she lived in Cleveland and was working at Cleveland Clinic. Everyone in her circle knew the building, and complained about it. But none of them every did anything more about it, to get it torn down. It's crazy how "nice" the rest of the area around it is, what a huge contradiction it shows. Respirators, guys. Seriously. i know they are not comfortable, but... your lungs will thank you for wearing them later.

Jake: "Please watch the elevator shafts."
Dan: "WhAt'S iN hErE?"
Dan, the man. Made some of the most frightening exploration videos I've seen.
Holy mother of black mold and zombie viruses! Please tell me you were wearing AT LEAST an N95 respirator during this???!?!?!?
We have P100 masks on hand, however because of the open windows and the elevation, it was pretty well ventilated
As a Clevelander, it so sad to see the structures here crumbling
The pan down to stepping on crushed glass in tennis shoes made me so nervous!
It was misleading to put ABANDONED in all caps. The ABANDONED episodes have a well researched backstory. This was an EXPLORE video.
BTW, love the channel.
Here before the inevitable "I watch your videos with my 3 year old niece please do not swear" comments
Mokujo then your niece should watch cartoons or you watch this when she’s sleep or not around 🤷🏾♀️

I'm 2 minutes in and Dan of all people is sketched out... *grabs popcorn and buckles up for the rest of the video*
do you have any picture of how it looked when it was intact?
Nothing unfortunately
Bright Sun Films =/
It's amazing how thorough the scrappers were at getting to every last bit of copper wiring and piping that they could.
I remember this building, from visits to see my sister, when she lived in Cleveland and was working at Cleveland Clinic.
Everyone in her circle knew the building, and complained about it. But none of them every did anything more about it, to get it torn down. It's crazy how "nice" the rest of the area around it is, what a huge contradiction it shows.
Respirators, guys. Seriously. i know they are not comfortable, but... your lungs will thank you for wearing them later.
Jake from Bright Sun Films: "I don't want to find a dead body"
Logan Paul: "Hold my beer"
Loved the video You all are just a bit crazy for exploring this building. Glad to see there was more than just one person just in case!
Why don't t you wear boots with all the glass and stuff
... and gloves
And jeans !
How about just stay out of the building?
And hazmat suits
Man, videos like this just make me thing of what was in the past. People's lives, events.
Robbie06261995 actually the apartments appeared roomy and large. Most Section 8 buildings have tiny rooms and cramped hallways.
Abandoned for the usual reasons; unpaid debt/taxes and it was section 8.
I watch your videos with my young son because I usually they are safe content for him and super interesting, I was not prepared for the swearing in this video. Please don't change that for us.
Thank you so much for all of your fascinating content.
What are you doing in Cleveland? I thought you'd be in my town of Endicott, New York looking at all of the abandoned shoe factories and IBM plants lol, nah I'm kidding great video!
Joe Mancini Did you happen to live off North St in Endwell as a kid?
Damon Bravo nope but you had a close guess ;)
Joe Mancini I used to live off Alice Ave and played with a kid with your name growing up but moved out of NY in the mid-90s. Small world if it was you. 😀
equid0x I live in Endicott but visit Endwell often I like it there, I don't think it's a bad idea to move away though since Endicott is now Emptycott ;)
Thank you for all the videos you continue to make you put so much dedication and commitment but also your sense of humor as well
I throughly do enjoy your videos and I forever will do
Awesome video. Creepy as heck.
I live on the other side of town, and had no idea this building was vacant or that it has been vacant so long.I remember when it was a thriving community...Welcome to Cleveland!
Looks like something straight out of The Walking Dead
I'd buy that place, hell yeah. quick bit of drywall, paint and carpet and we're back in business boys!
Limbeck k 😂😂😂😂😂👌🏻
Even if you could fix it. You've got to fill it with people that pay.
I'd buy it for $150 and perform some thorough tests involving vehicles, guns and maybe some other dumb shit.
"The security deposit is a carton of cigarettes". DEAD!
Nice place. Do they come pre furnished?
The Armadilliest One Are writhing piles of rats considered furniture
In my fictional world, this place never gets abandoned and still successful
“This eyesore in the middle of the city..”
The whole city is an eyesore tbf
Like your vids man!! Keep up the great work.
My father was an architect here in Cleveland. What was the name or address of this building. Id like to know if he designed this building and look at the plans - he may have them! If we need to communicate privately let me know by reply
Send me an email at contact@brightsunfilms.ca
Hope you enjoyed Cleveland, love when you film in the Great Lakes region. That building was pretty horrible for only 10 years of being idle.
Jake, you make a video on the Canton Centre Mall, previously named the Mallet Mall located in Canton Ohio.
Unfortunately you can’t even tell it used to be Mellett Mall/Canton Centre. I worked there in the late 90s, super sad to drive past now when I’m in the area.
Good video, always entertaining, I love your disgust at the place and dan's sales pitch was impeccable. I hope they get rid of that eyesore. it's horrific.-how many people have died in that place?! Thanks for trudging to the top, great view.
That ending was great! Hahahaha!!!!!
The building is actually cleaner now than it was when it was occupied
Is there anyway you could please do an abandoned/explore video on the Collin Creek mall in Plano Texas? I️t has a treasure trove of interesting information for an episode. Thanks
They've already asked the remaining tenants to leave, and Plano City Council has already approved Centurion American's redevelopment plans for a mixed-use development. Sounds like the anchor stores will be demolished soon.
Awesome vid Sir! Dane still managed to be elusive from the camera just quick snippits ;)
Looks like a bomb went off in there , jeez , what a mess , what a waste!!!!!!!! cool explore guys.
Thanks Steve! It was awful in there
