I think being in the aura reveal range as Survivor should show the aura of the item, even if they nerf it in other ways one of the biggest frustration points for Survivors going against it is having to scour the floor in a 12m radius and triangulate where a teammate dropped the item just to move it, moving it is already a time sink they should just be able to see the damn item If Killers really want to they can run Third Seal to keep the items hidden, but at that point that's 3 perks dedicated to the strat (Weave, Franklin's, Third Seal) so they can go for it if they really want to
Pretty sure that would be the nerf. All survivors see the item aura within the aura reveal range. Probably would increase the Oblivious time for the pickup so it wouldn't feel like a one-sided nerf.
that's fair enough. i would actually love this too as a killer lol, because it means the goblins are more likely to get greedy about their precious items instead of being useful 😂😂but that would be 100% on them. Because if used correctly, the aura would streamline the process of countering the perk my moving/avoiding said item
they'll probably decrease the radius as well i can imagine. so many people have been complaining about it and you know bhvr tends to overnerf first then find a comfortable middle for strong perks
Recently had a match on the SilentHill map where a killer brought franklins and weave. Everyone brought items and opened chest, the ENTIRE map was covered by Weave, there was items just everywhere so the map pressure was insane
Doesn't help them that it has infinite vertical aura range(and least thats what I've been told and experienced). My friend swapped items with basement chest on shack and I always had the icon while in shack despite checking everywhere. He told me about the item, I went down, grabbed it and put it in the corner of a map. Low and behold the icon never popped up while in shack ever again.
The only change this needs is that the item is visible to survivors so they have a chance to pick it up and put away. Now you don't even bother in finding the item, because a circle with 16m radius is HUGE.
@@yuppersmeer6080this is a good idea. That way it’s no literally just Permiant walls all game. It’s also really u fair that I can just switch to this if I see a lobby with 4 items and just not sue this perk combo when less than 3 ppl have an item. Killer have the advantage always when it comes to this. Franklins weave almost feels like a built in killer power. Like a skull merchant drone you can remotely and automatically deploy you just don’t have control of placement
Anyone who blames a Content Creator for a change in a game is an idiot. At the end of the day, its the devs who approves updates and if a Content Creator's voice is somehow more influential/reasonable than the devs, then the devs are the idiots.
I believe it's usually survivor mains who blame Otz a lot of the time. A lot of them lost their minds and blamed him when MFT was nerfed. They would say he never calls for killer perks to be nerfed even though he has many times.
@@Shiro_Sagenot even. Literally everyone was calling for MFT to be nerfed and was inevitably going to get nerfed with or without content creators saying it should be nerfed.
It's definitely just the community the game itself has built. People on the internet will blame others, however, the really toxic community this game has made is unlike other communities that has moderate toxicity. They are snakes in the grass and to be honest I'm glad I left. Otz is a cool content creator though and I enjoy watching
Otz is probably the biggest DBD content creator if not top 3, you have to be the biggest idiot if you think the devs of this game even if it’s one doesn’t watch his videos and get swayed into making changes. Or naive. So you’re either an idiot or naive I’ll let you pick
Really love this perk on Unknown. It with the addon that lets you destroy your own clones to place them right on top of an item make them really hard to get rid of
Everytime I think solo q can’t possibly get worse they drop a perk or killer that proves me wrong. I love when my teammates simply refuse to move their items and it’s not like the others see the aura or anything so we’re sort of just doomed in that area 😭
It sucks relying on your teammates to go find their own items. The perk really should highlight the items aura for survivors after x amount of time, or maybe like NOED, it grows larger as time goes on
@@JondarKorric or we wait for the inevitable nerf for this combo - if buckle up and for the people was too strong, so is free map-wide aura reading for killers
It wouldn't shock me if it did get nerfed. I recall how in the past, Dead Man's Switch got nerfed because of the combo with Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance worked It was a very good combo and info perk, which honestly is somewhat similar to what we have now. Honestly, I don't believe it deserves to get nerfed, but we will see what happens
You don't think a perk that gives you infinite wall hacks within 12m of items that your team constantly drops and you cannot find is balanced? Lol. Plus if you DO find it, you're oblivious and putting items in corner of map is super time consuming and often is still close enough to a loop for it to not matter where you put it. The only 'good' counter suggestion I've seen is bringing object and setting your item next to a gem you're working on for constant aura read + 6% repair speed.
@@Letycs I think a legit good change is that if an item is empty (so when it gets forcefully dropped), then it gives an aura. Then remove obliviousness on an item if it has no charges left. So picking up a new item still gives obliviousness, but an empty item wont. That way, there is an average of 25 seconds per item dropped with Franklins before it shows an aura.
@@Predated2 I mean that's one suggestion, but I can see people 99ing items to avoid the aura reads. Then you'd only get aura value if people were oblivious to the perk or if you had Franklin's. I personally feel like a good change would be just to put a time limit on the aura read and leaving everything the way it is (other than possibly making it easier to find the item, but it might not be necessary with timed aura read). The most egregious issue with the perk to me is that it's infinite wall hacks. Like you get aura reads off of it for like 1-2m or something after an item is dropped.
The worst is when a survivor gets their item franklin-ed in the basement and the killer hooks someone there. With permanent aura reading it is next to impossible for survivors to make a rescue.
The Doctor is Op with weaver Specifically Doctor Perks - franklin/weaver/starstruck/unnerving Add-ons- calm/discipline Map - small maps best is pig map
You can also run Plunderers Instinct it allows you to see items on the ground so those maps with lots of grass where you can’t see the items now you know where they are and can effectively move them quickly and counter the killer.
Honestly the best move they could make, if they decide to do anything at all. Slightly would be a buff to Franklin's by itself, as survivors wouldn't be able to pick up an item just to Built to Last refill it.
@@genghiscan2918 that's an awful choice lol, it wouldn't work with the perk itself at all. the op's idea is nice though. I'm gonna be honest, i see more survivors dying due to item greediness, than the actual perks themselves. You dropped your flashlight, let it go lol. and this would "erase" it for them without risking the greediness, or making them walk to a dead corner to drop it
My suggested changes would be to make it only show the auras around empty items. The original design is that is makes you drop empty items and show the auras and the biggest issue is that paired with franklins it’s instant value. It could still work with franklins over time if the item is left on the ground (to avoid the oblivious status effect) and can still be countered by picking it up and putting it back down again
@@Couch_potato513 you shouldnt have to sacrifice your rare items and addons that you might not even have a lot of to begin with, it feels terrible being like "ok im gonna bring in one of my 6 purple flashlights with a bulb for once" just for it to get taken from you by franklins or need to hide it all game so you can MAYBE get it at the end of the match to take with you (and probably just lose it on the way out cuz you got hit again) etc. imagine being a myers or whatever killer your go to is, and you bring in a tombstone (or any other rare addon you dont have a lot of) just for a survivor to have a perk that that disabled your addons or deleted them or something similar, it would feel terrible, especially for lower prestige players who dont have infinite of everything yet.
0:18 The "risks" of being a "public figure". If you say something should happen and then it, or something similar, happens it is obvious that people are going to put part of the blame on you. You should either stop caring about it or, as you did, stop making that content becouse if you complain about something, then many players are going to complain about it becouse Hive Mind and "having an opinion is hard" and maybe BHVR doesn't care about you, but it definitely does about the players that buy those sweet, sweet DLCs and cosmetics, and if they complain about something, that you started/fostered, they will probably look into it and change it how they see fit, so people are right to put part on the blame on you. And if this perk gets changed, I asure you some will blame you, and rightfully so, becouse that's what it means to have the influence you have as a content creator over "the masses".
It's strong but the usefulness (for me) has been hit or miss. Most situations (in my experience) have the Survivors running away from a high priority area, into some tile I don't care about, and their item gets dropped there. M2 Killers have the ability to control the drop a bit more, and if you can secure an M1 quickly, the drop is more ideal but both of these reward the skill/planning needed to use the perk to it's fullest potential. And lest we forget, half your entire load loadout has to be committed to using the perk. It's almost been two months, so I don't see them nerfing it too soon, if at all
honestly, it has helped me against bully swf more than anything really. it won't stop them from doing gens or unhooking at all (so, if they want to play like a normal team, they can), but it will make it risky to hover around the downed teammate with an item in range
Back when the perk was released, it was used every other match. So we got the habit to just try dropping the item on the ground at the beginning of the match to see if he has the perk. If he does, we all go to a corner and drop our item there, and then no more value for the rest of the game :')
Wait the perk let's survivors know like ruin, oppression, undying, etc? If that's the case then that is a counter. Survivors have all the info in the world and yet it still isn't enough
@@CaptToilet In a SWF this would be the case, however most players are SoloQ and getting 4 people with no comms to drop their items at the start of the match and not open chests is surprisingly a lot harder than you might think..
@@al3xf132 Basic game sense is all a solo q player needs. Sadly the game is not designed around survivors having proper thinking skils, other wise it would be a shit show for killer.

I used Weave Attunement with Twins and the Spinning Top addon, which is a low budget Franklin´s so I had 3 perks and 1 addon left. Easiest Twins match in my life because I had info all the time with Charlotte and Victor did the rest. Wouldn´t surprise me if it gets nerfed soon.
It doesnt need nerf. You need 2 perk slots and survivours even have info about that perk. Its good how it is. If it will be nerfed - it will kill the perk. As ultimate weapon before.
UW is fine atm i still use it on Oni and sometimes plauge. Weave I'd say needs a nerf not because of its raw power but the fact it just screws over SoloQ players.
@@whyareyoureadingthislookaw8319 Give it time. Perk is here only for 1 month. If people will refuse counter it, then maybe it can be duscussed. And UW is garbage now.
There's not a lot you can do to counter it, despite that you can pick up the item you become oblivious for it and you have to be completely useless for like 30s and then at that point it's effective since killer has info and slowdown from you doing nothing but moving an item
@@ChamplooMusashi Killer should have perks stronger than survs, its ok. He has only 4 slots compare to 16 of survs. Its not smth devastating and impossible to fight with.
I've yet to go against a killer with it, I want to know how it feels/looks like, to me it just seems like a too easily countered perk for it to be any good.
it will feel strong if it catches you by surprise and you don't keep in mind that looping that same pallet were you dropped th medkit won't be mind-gameable. Otherwise, you'll just hold w, and maybe later, if you really need to come back, pick up your item back, and maybe drop it somewhere useless
hey Otz, honestly my thought on how they could approach it (probably wont matter) would be to set the aura reveal on a sort of cd per item. Personally I'd word the change to something like "when a survivor is within X meters of a dropped item, their aura is revealed for 3 seconds. This perk goes on CD for 20 seconds"
Weave Attunement is a nightmare in solo queue. Its sad cause the easy counterplay is to drop your item at the beginning of game to check for WA and then drop said item in corner maps (indoor maps require improvisation i.e on midwich all items go in middle of courtyard downstairs.) With no coms in solo queue items get dropped across the map n now killer has permanent aura reading that will burn through distortion stacks.
I used this perk with bubbas funny item addon and it resulted in me having aura above basement at shack. its also very nice when you get a down and you know exactly where the guy with the flashlight is hiding because of the aura lol.
*IF* BHVR nerfs it, I imagine that they will do one (or more) of the following: 1.) Add a cooldown that activates on the specific survivor that just activated it. Meaning that it could have 4 separate cooldowns simultaneously. 2.) Substantially reduce the range the item can allow for the aura read. 3.) Entirely rework the perk to have (a) completely different effect(s). I am not saying it needs a nerf. I really couldn’t care less if it does get a nerf or not. I don’t encounter it that frequently. When I do encounter it, for some reason, it is only when I (rarely) run either Distortion or Object and I have no clue why.
it had an 8m range on PTB and guess what? all the crybabies whined it was "too weak" (it wasn't) then they buffed it to 12m and now crybabies are whining it's "too strong" (it isn't)
There's counter to slowdown. Toolboxes, deja vu, prove thyself and other gen speed perks. And even Invocation and Lara's new chest perk are counters to slowdown. With distortion getting gutted aura perks have zero counters.
That's a common excuse to keep overtuned or overpowered perks strong. It was the same argument for ultimate weapon. Static information at little to no cost to the killer is problematic at best and outright damaging to the game at worst. Weave falls into the overtuned category, reducing the range to 10-12 meters and highlighting the item to survivors to telegraph that they're seen would make for more fun counterplay without completely gutting the perk. 16 meter range is too much, and no indication of when the killer has permanent wall hacks with no cooldown at a loop or gen is extremely unfair.
@@NewSirenSong then don't cry when killers keep bringing the same 4 regression perks. also the perk literally TELLS you when you're revealed by it and it's 12m not 16m you fucking moron.
It is not easy to counter, its stronger than every other aura build, which is usually 3-4 perks. It also applies natural slowdown, you hit a survivor with an m1, they have to take a bunch of time getting their item, moving it across the map, and then theyre unable to hear you coming when you have walls on them. And that being said the ease of use compared to how difficult it is to counter is not equal, the value the killer gets compared to the effort is not balanced. Its like distortion, very high reward very low effort.
@@cuppy1199 It is very easy to counter wdym? Start of game drop item to check. If its there, everyone put there item in the corner of the map. Dont open chests. Congrats, you countered half of the killers perks.
@@derrian6969 That is slowdown in itself, as well as items are very powerful, you dnt want to get 0 use out of a commdius toolbox, thats 30 seconds saved. Franklins just makes it worse.
@@cuppy1199Literally all you have to do is drop the item at the start of the trial to check if killer has weave. If they have, you drop the item in the corner where nobody will go. With that you completely shut down two out of four perks killer has with the only downside being you don't get to use items. Also, Distortion is a single perk that shuts this combo down quite well.
Even as a pure spectator who does not play this game at all myself, I recognized Weave Attunement as being a big deal the day Vecna hit PTB. Forcing the creation of visual beacons that are time consuming to move / remove, released alongside a character whose gimmick encourages survivors to churn through lots of low grade items while hunting for enchanted gear? It's a real treasure, and seems to have the same level of consistency and value as something like DOTA wards.
The nerf idea I had was to keep it essentially the same but after a sent amount of time of the item being on the floor the entity just destroys the item it'll for people to either puck up their items more if they wanna keep up thus making its secondary effect more useful along with having a counter for the items being left on the floor for too long
Survivors when a perk isn't slowdown, only shows auras, has counterplay, and tells you when you're affected by it: "It's way too strong! Behavior please nerf!"
I love your statement at the start "fuck it, it's super good go use it before it's not" basically. Which honestly is my favorite approach because it's what people wanna do anyways
I genuinely think that Weave wont get a nerf, it's SYNERGY will, Franklin's Demise is what really makes Weave Attunement stronger imo since its basically a must have perk to run with Weave since ofc drops the items but reducing the charges means if someone uses it they drop it sooner aswell so what I'm expecting regarding Weave balancing is seeing Franklin's Demise changed back to its older version that made it so items affected by Franklins were consumed by the entity upon reaching 0 charges. thats what I'm expecting to see happen if they decide to actually "nerf" Weave as bringing back that effect for Franklins would automatically nerf the Weave builds by default meaning it wont be as unfun to deal with
fair enough, it would be fine that way. Survivors will just need to come to terms with letting go of items lol. but honestly, with how generous bloodpoints are nowdays, there's no point in greeding and posibly dying just to pick up a half depleted medkit.
I keep seeing people say this and it’s like no one remembers how HATED and reviled Franklin’s was by survivors being frustrated by having their items destroyed.
You know what the counter to this perk is? Hold m1 on gens. Literally it can be completely countered just by Gen. Rushing. Just like every other fun perk in this game.
I believe Weave Attunement by itself isn't the problem. It's the synergy it has with Franklin's Demise. Weave by itself allows for survivors to make a choice after exhausting their item. leave it there and have their aura's revealed while they're near that spot, or pick it up and move it out of the way while suffering from Oblivious. Franklin's Demise now comes in and makes it harder because now the item is likely dropped in chase, forcing a survivor to go back and try and find the item later, which will give the killer plenty of value beforehand.
Having to be both an m1 killer (weaker killer generally) while also giving up 2 perk slots for a strong aura read ability DOES NOT sound too op like you're making it out to be. Is it cool? Yes. Is it strong? To some extent. Is it OP? Maybe on spirit only otherwise no. Nurse/Blight with 2 extra perks for reference would be leagues stronger than this setup and IS OP. The first video showcased is a perfect example as artist with 2 other perks would have been either just as impactful or possibly even better.
i do think weave is fine tbh. its so easy to counter if survivors just dont crutch with items and let them go. its easy to tell if someone has it like bbq
@@kenc768 if you put the items in a corner of the map the perk is literally useless, if you dont know how to do that and counter it then it's a skill issue on your part. Just read the perk description lmao
@@edgartron0287 all maps? what about midwich? lerys? rpd? the game? i think you’re forgetting about multiple 2 story maps that give you perma wall hacks through floors
The most effective counter to this, is to take items to the edge of the map and drop them there. I think the best "nerf" that could work with it would be to synergise it with franklins. Weave makes the item drop when it is consumed, only allow aura on deplete items. So if franklins forces the drop, it doesn't provide aura until after it has been drained by franklins. - still as powerful after some time, easily countered by moving the item, and still gives a fair value for the perk combination.
@@J1197-b7l a medkit with no add-ons has has a tiny bit of charge after the heal, depending on the person most people don't use 100% of a flashlight, so most of it's value would be from toolboxes which is not much
Man, it does not deserve one. Let us Killers just have fun with a build. One may I add has way more counters then just running 4 slowdowns. If it gets nerfed every killer will just go back to running nothing but slowdown and that'll get boring really quick.
I face it every game, they should completely remove the oblivious part of it because it promotes killing solo queue while not doing anything against a swf.
they could probably just have it read aura when the item is completely drained, cause as intended it drops when items depelete itd still work woth franklins u just gotta drain it a lil
Yay so I give killers basically free pre-buff lethal pursuer while also simultaneously losing the item I brought to the trial. The perk can be strong without also being super fucking annoying for solos. Starting with a bare minimum of seeing the aura of your teammates dropped items.
this can work in reverse too, ive seen a build that had obsession and they drop their items at a loop and just have xray and so does the killer, also giving the survivor the control over activation of the perk.
As a mostly solo Q player I hate this perk because my teammates dont drop their items on the corners. You dont have that issue with SWFs. It's totally a solo Q stomper perk
I love how everyone said this perk was gonna suck when it was released and it’s this strong. I said it would be strong since I saw it but no one else believed 😂
I always feel like aura reading is the most underutilized part of the game. I'm glad killers can get a bit more fun with their aura options. I think survivors are going to learn to move the items when it's needed.
How can you move the item if the killer continuously camp it? Believe me, I've played against a pig who successfully hit a survivor near a hook, hooked the survivor there, camped him, camped the item and every time someone tried to move the item or save the survivor the pig injured, downed or chased them away
@wallacewells2822 I'd say your best bet in that scenario would unfortunately let them reach second stage and push gens. Taking a trade if necessary. Move the item later if it's still in a problem area without the hook. You should fairly quickly make the pig decide if getting the kill is worth the time investment and hope she decides to go for more chases.
@@joshkeller2671 I mean, it's also pig, not bubba, one surv taking a hit while another unhooks is a good option, pic can't just mow down multiple healthy survs
@@joshkeller2671 the problem is we spawned in a small map, two survivors were repairing relatively close to me and the other one was even closer, also the fact that most of my teammates were soloq made the rest of the match even worse. I had a decent chase, but eventually she downed me. The pig was in a range where she could lunge at everyone but the meter wasn't filling up, and her stealth ability allowed her to scare the sh** out of my team. She was able to quickly down the entire team because the one repairing was too close to the hook, the one trying to unhook obviously didn't succeed because his aura was always revealed and the last one, who at first was scared so decided to repair far away from us, at one point was forced to help us but it didn't end well.
FYI. At one point "Hangman's Trick" used to bring back hooks that where destroyed by survivors dying on said hook. It also took a long time just like how the hooks are done now. So its basically like killers have the old "Hangman's Trick" perk as basekit now. Kinda funny in a way since people have been asking for that since.. Well forever.
Franklin should show the aura of your dropped item and Weave the item that’s showing your aura, and maybe Weave also only work when an item is fully depleted.
I knew Otz would break his promise 😅 I thought it was easy to counter this perk if you just pickup the item and run it somewhere to drop it no one goes.. but I guess survivors have to cry about it and not adapt to something new again
I mean isn’t this kind what BHVR always does? Release a strong perk (preferably locked behind a licensed paywall like Franklin’s/Weave, old Eruption/CoB), let the playerbase enjoy it for awhile, then nerf it into the gutter after a few months. Yes the nerfs are maybe quite necessary, but it still makes me kinda sad
They should make it so that it either works: - Only one time per survivor per item (once they leave the range they can no longer be detected by that item), or; - On a timer on each item, like 45 seconds of total time on the ground, in which auras around it are revealed. After the timer hits 0, the perk deactivates on that item, regardless of it being picked up again or not. In both scenarios, I would tone the range back down to what it was in the PTB, 8 meters. Having a 12 meter radius (total 24 meter radar) on survivors' auras is WAY too strong, but I guess BHVR is not done selling the Vecna DLC so it wasn't nerfed yet. Edit: Reading the comments I also think letting survivors see the aura of the dropped item would be ideal, but maybe too strong combined with the previous solution, so maybe a combination of all...
Your suggestion to "counter" it is same as saying "just dont bring items into match". You cant counter this perk by dropping items in the corner or not bring items at all because in both ways you cant use items
As a deathslinger main, I dont condone the use of aura perks that help during chase because it limits your ability to grow as a player by doing the hard part (predicting) for you.
I disagree with your opinion this is like saying you don’t condone survivors using a perk that lets them take a extra hit because it limits there ability to learn how to loop
Weave isn't the issue, it's Franklin's, which has caused synergy issues in the past (working with killer powers etc). My suggested change to Franklin's would be to make it so it no longer makes survivors drop items. Instead, when a killer hits you (basic or special) it disables survivors being able to use their item for 10 seconds (could be more of less, just an example). What this does is make Franklin's less annoying to go against (no more losing charges and having to pick up) but it maintains the theme of preventing item use. This also gives interesting scenarios, for example, hitting a flash lighter gives the killer the safety of knowing the survivor can't use the item whilst they pick up (alternative to lightborn). The effect could be a new status or could utilise incapacitated if time isn't too long.
@@AnotherDempsey weave shouldn't have to be nerfed because of Franklin's. I'm not proposing a nerf to FD, but a rework that makes it less frustrating yet still unique and valuable.
No... how about franklins Takes 100% of the items durability or just breaks it -_- oh how about You stop nerfing killer perks or sooner or later the only thing you will get are blights nurses and Spirits running comp only builds. I solo wue the majority of my games and I've basically become an object main perk user just because weave attunement exists I rarely see it now though but I like object on its own and a lot of killers run im all ears so its useful for that too
since you won't say it, I'll say it for us. i play both sides and knew that perk wasnt okay the first time i read it. the perk has zero cooldown it punishes the survivors for picking up an item it punishes a survivor for not picking up an item it punishes a survivor for opening chests or just using an item at all it needs survivor perks like object to be otherwise countered... it never should have made it to live as it is. and the fact that they let it work with franklins was a bit on the insulting side.

Maybe it could be a noed situation where the longer the item is dropped the more range you can see the aura until it covers the full weave range.
Hello friends, this is Otz, at least before I get nerfed
Then comes the nerf to the devs, not playing it and ruin it.
Low and behold the icon never popped up while in shack ever again.
that is kinda the survivor's fault ngl if they did that lol
The only change this needs is that the item is visible to survivors so they have a chance to pick it up and put away. Now you don't even bother in finding the item, because a circle with 16m radius is HUGE.
Especially when the items are so small and blend into the environment EXTREMELY well
Or just make it so that items on the ground that have been empty for longer than 40 seconds no longer shows auras

@@LetycsThen you go against a Onyro…

they can revert franklins so it destroys burnt out items with 0 charges and now it has no infinite duration synergy with WA anymore.
Honestly the best move they could make, if they decide to do anything at all. Slightly would be a buff to Franklin's by itself, as survivors wouldn't be able to pick up an item just to Built to Last refill it.

Aaaaaaaand the nerf is official, THANK YOU (says in sarcasm)
@magical571 it has its merits!
Crazy what you said about the perk making it just as powerful is the survivor picking up an item that gives you info on their location as well.
Survivors have all the info in the world and yet it still isn't enough

hey Otz, honestly my thought on how they could approach it (probably wont matter) would be to set the aura reveal on a sort of cd per item. Personally I'd word the change to something like "when a survivor is within X meters of a dropped item, their aura is revealed for 3 seconds. This perk goes on CD for 20 seconds"
Weave Attunement is a nightmare in solo queue. Its sad cause the easy counterplay is to drop your item at the beginning of game to check for WA and then drop said item in corner maps (indoor maps require improvisation i.e on midwich all items go in middle of courtyard downstairs.)
With no coms in solo queue items get dropped across the map n now killer has permanent aura reading that will burn through distortion stacks.
I used this perk with bubbas funny item addon and it resulted in me having aura above basement at shack. its also very nice when you get a down and you know exactly where the guy with the flashlight is hiding because of the aura lol.
weave has been a mainstay in my chucky build and it's so unbelievably good lol, it's a lot of fun
*IF* BHVR nerfs it, I imagine that they will do one (or more) of the following:
1.) Add a cooldown that activates on the specific survivor that just activated it.
When I do encounter it, for some reason, it is only when I (rarely) run either Distortion or Object and I have no clue why.
it had an 8m range on PTB and guess what? all the crybabies whined it was "too weak" (it wasn't) then they buffed it to 12m and now crybabies are whining it's "too strong" (it isn't)
we're never gonna leave the gen slowdown meta if aura/tracking perks keep getting nerfed 💀💀
Amen. Survivors come kitted out and whine about the killer having to bring 2 perks to read item Aura.
There's counter to slowdown. Toolboxes, deja vu, prove thyself and other gen speed perks. And even Invocation and Lara's new chest perk are counters to slowdown. With distortion getting gutted aura perks have zero counters.
@@Liinuli. slowdown is boring and chase is fun. simple as 🤷♂️
you got me good at the end , not gonna lie
if weave gets nerfed, there's even less reason to not just run 4 slowdown

Why it supposed to be nerfed?
Killers need to spend two perk slots for a decent combo, that is so easy to counter
Because whiny survivor mains don't want to learn the counterplay
@@cuppy1199 It is very easy to counter wdym? Start of game drop item to check. If its there, everyone put there item in the corner of the map. Dont open chests. Congrats, you countered half of the killers perks.

Cringe Gen rusher 💀
I believe Weave Attunement by itself isn't the problem. It's the synergy it has with Franklin's Demise. Weave by itself allows for survivors to make a choice after exhausting their item. leave it there and have their aura's revealed while they're near that spot, or pick it up and move it out of the way while suffering from Oblivious. Franklin's Demise now comes in and makes it harder because now the item is likely dropped in chase, forcing a survivor to go back and try and find the item later, which will give the killer plenty of value beforehand.

I think the best "nerf" that could work with it would be to synergise it with franklins. Weave makes the item drop when it is consumed, only allow aura on deplete items.
It takes 2 perk slots to make it viable doesnt need a nerf
Seeing Otz play as Artist really soothes my soul
Franklin should show the aura of your dropped item and Weave the item that’s showing your aura, and maybe Weave also only work when an item is fully depleted.
This is honestly my favourite idea of how to nerf the two perks.
I knew Otz would break his promise 😅
I thought it was easy to counter this perk if you just pickup the item and run it somewhere to drop it no one goes.. but I guess survivors have to cry about it and not adapt to something new again
Well the first few months are when those characters sell the best
@@genghiscan2918 true
They should make it so that it either works:
- Only one time per survivor per item (once they leave the range they can no longer be detected by that item), or;
- On a timer on each item, like 45 seconds of total time on the ground, in which auras around it are revealed.
I might be wrong but isn't just picking up the item again after dropping it an option?
Yes but it can be hard if the killer camps the item
Sooooo, go do gens, how simply play the game can be so hard for some players in this game???
@@capbarbossa bro your a month late and yes your right but I played killer
Dude that slinger game was insane
I think it's perfectly fine and balanced perk and it can be easily counted by just dropping your item in the corner of the map which wastes 10 sec
That wastes more than 10 seconds on most maps and requiring all of the survivors to do that is like having a mini version of corrupt.
@@dw-XD if you leave them close to a finished gen it's still the same
Your suggestion to "counter" it is same as saying "just dont bring items into match". You cant counter this perk by dropping items in the corner or not bring items at all because in both ways you cant use items
@@froggy6208 this perk activates when your item is out of charge or the killer uses Franklin's you can use your item and then drop it in a corner
Imagine if I could take a survivor perk that disables your addons as killer how fun would that be?
That play to down the Dwight by resetting the bird timer was absolute cinema 🤌
As a deathslinger main, I dont condone the use of aura perks that help during chase because it limits your ability to grow as a player by doing the hard part (predicting) for you.
same
I disagree with your opinion this is like saying you don’t condone survivors using a perk that lets them take a extra hit because it limits there ability to learn how to loop
@@Vonstroheim44its different because it actually helps by giving them a health state...
As if you could ban people from using perks
Same thing with Windows on Survivor.
HOW CAN YOU NOT THINK THIS PERK IS OP?
Pretty solid change that I (a survivor main) would be pretty happy about
Weave is definitely the issue here. Franklin's shouldn't need to be nerfed because of Weave.
@@AnotherDempsey weave shouldn't have to be nerfed because of Franklin's. I'm not proposing a nerf to FD, but a rework that makes it less frustrating yet still unique and valuable.
@@SirBM-TTV weave without Franklins is garbage. Franklin's without Weave isn't garbage. Franklin doesn't need to be changed. It's good as it is.
No... how about franklins Takes 100% of the items durability or just breaks it -_- oh how about You stop nerfing killer perks or sooner or later the only thing you will get are blights nurses and Spirits running comp only builds. If you keep limitiing our perks to the point everything is useless then all you will get is the same OP thing over and over and over... oh wait.. thats what you had with Pain res pop. And now that you got gen regression killed your pissed about aura reading. How about killers dont get perks at all will that make you happy? No.. not surprised.
That artist stairs play was fricking wild *-*
Great... You're gonna force them to nerf an another perk..

Rare footage of Someone claiming their Daily Ritual.
Survivors: MFT for 6 months. DS buff, ability to stack repeated gen progression perks etc etc
Also survivors: Nerf Weave cause we are fucking trash at chase!
I solo wue the majority of my games and I've basically become an object main perk user just because weave attunement exists
I rarely see it now though but I like object on its own and a lot of killers run im all ears so its useful for that too
since you won't say it, I'll say it for us. i play both sides and knew that perk wasnt okay the first time i read it.
the perk has zero cooldown
it punishes the survivors for picking up an item
it punishes a survivor for not picking up an item
it punishes a survivor for opening chests or just using an item at all
it needs survivor perks like object to be otherwise countered...
it never should have made it to live as it is. and the fact that they let it work with franklins was a bit on the insulting side.
I still want to see more of these Videos, your ideas are so fucking good Otz
