the primary reason Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and the others didn't return is briefly explained in the beginning but they kind of waffled over the details. Basically after the events of Jurassic Park all those who went to the island signed a piece of paper swearing never to speak of what happened, including the fact lives were lost because of the tragedy (lives including Dennis Nedry, Robert Muldoon, Mr Arnold aka Samuel L Jackson, the Lawyer and a major scientist called Dr Laura Sorkin (who was more prominent in the book). However Ian Malcolm refused to stay silent and went public (even after signing the paper saying he wouldn't) with what happened in Jurassic Park and Ingen were furious. The nephew briefly mentioned this at the beginning of Lost World, he said Dr Malcolm violated the terms of the agreement and Dr Malcolm felt the puplic had a right to know that they covered up the deaths of people.

The Lost World is a very good sequel, the use of animatronics and special effects in these movies make it look better than many modern franchises.

2:13 The reason he said 3 people died in the first movie even though there was 4 deaths was because no one knew what happened to Nedry. No one ever catches that

So happy you’re going through the Jurassic Park series…this is my favorite franchise! The Lost World is so underrated, I love it! Sure it has its pitfalls, but in the end it brings more world building to the Jurassic universe, a captivating story, and introduces the prospect that sequels in this series can be possible.
I can’t wait for you to tackle the next three before Dominion! In addition to Jurassic Park ///, Jurassic World, and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom there’s two short films: Battle At Big Rock and The Prologue. It would be fantastic to see your reaction to those!

    best part of this film.
they're up in the high tree ting and Ian Malcolm is like "don't worry nothing remotley bad is going to happen"
(T-rex roars insanely load cause the baby is gone)
    Ian malcolm be like :O
"is there any way we can contact the trailer?"
    (they don't pick up)
"for once in your life would it kill you to pick up the god damn phone!"

Same here about the title. I refuse to call it that (in that order), I call it Jurassic Park: The Lost World :D
"Where you're going is the only place in the world where the geese chase you!" "He hasn't been to Canada." XD Yeah, my thoughts exactly! Canada Geese Park X3
No, the Milk Snake is not poisonous, so Robert Burke got himself killed for nothing . . .
**Takes flash photo of T-Rex** "At least he got his proof." Great, so he'll be able to prove to St. Peter that the T-Rex is real X3
**Peter Ludlow dies** The kind of person he is, I don't think Peter Ludlow is going to St. Peter . . . X3

I would *NEVER* ask either of my parents to crack on me, ground me, or send me to my room. Unfortunately, they've done all of them at times when I was young.
Poisonous or not, if a snake slithered into my shirt like that, I'd scream and panic, too. If I was there, I also would have ended up in the grip of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. People don't always make the best decisions when they panic. I really don't blame Dr. Burke for panicking like that. Most people think that they would make calm and cool decisions in such a situation. But, I'm willing to bet that they'd change their minds if they were actually *IN* a situation like that. It's easy to be calm when you're not actually there. I use my imagination a lot and understand why people act the way they do in tense situations.
One scene I really hate is when Kelly kicks the Raptor out of the window. It's not so much that the animal went out the window itself. It's that it landed on a sharp nail or something. I doubt that the animal died quickly or painlessly. 😭

For anyone who said that there was a deleted scene that had velociraptor is get on the boat which explained the hand on the steering wheel that is proven false. Klayton fioriti who is probably the number one Jurassic Park TH-camr who has spoken with people who made the film, and has more information on them than anyone I've ever seen, from storyboards too early scripts, etc. He's done two videos on that show that the artwork that people see that make them think that the raptor was on the ship, was actually from one of the video games. The T-Rex did all of the damage on the boat they just had a plot hole by not showing the bridge with damage to it. The T-Rex was on the deck in the metal container thing that you see from the helicopter. Roland hit it with carfentanil which is basically the animal version of fentanyl so to counteract the overdose they basically gave the T-Rex the animal equivalent of narcan. That made the T-Rex have a huge adrenaline rush and a breakout from its harness. You can see it bent on the deck of the ship. The T-Rex killed everyone on the ship and then the people that were left he chased down into the cargo hold and the sailor that had the button for the cargo hold in his hand, was mortally wounded and before dying he pressed the button to try and close the T-Rex down there. The only thing that that doesn't explain, is the hand on the steering wheel and that was actually in the storyboards. there are storyboards would show the entire scene as it would have played out if they had filmed it and how the T-Rex got out and how the T-Rex attacked everyone and the only difference is there was supposed to be damage to the wheelhouse which would show you how the T-Rex got the guy. They didn't include that so because of that everyone thought it was velociraptors but there was never once velociraptors in the story on that ship. Nor was there any artwork but you can actually see the entire story boards on Klayton's channel and none of them have the velociraptors however they do have the entire T-Rex scene as it would have played out if they had filmed it.

To answer yalls question, yes the gun Roland was using could absolutely kill a trex, i believe it was a 600 nitro express, or something similar. It's overkill for an elaphant so it should be perfect for large dinosaurs. They're still animals at the end of the day, they might be big but you'd honestly be shocked just how small of a caliber it'd really take to peirce through them, and then from there it's just getting the right shot. And .600 nitro is one of the larger calibers out there. Unlike Maldune or Chrisp Rat, Roland absolutely brought the right gun to dino Island

@Times6ix site B is mentioned in the 2 book that's where the sequel takes place. The reason why they went to they island is because they needed to prove that the dinosaurs were not only surviving but flourishing in the wild so that they can legally make the island a wildlife reserve for the dinosaurs to live free from humans without any conflict with humans.

19:08 yeah, that's a true coral snake, they are venomous, can't remember how powerful the venom actually is, you can tell it's a true coral snake by the fact the end of its tail stops having red rings and just has the yellow and black ones, false coral snakes keep the red rings all the way to the end, they are non-venomous.

I feel that it was actually LESS impressive.
They made the dinosaurs move a little more "agile"/ faster , compared to the original films.
Like they don't weigh an OZ.
      ALSO......the " lighting/texture "
Made them look almost like "holograms "
(Especially the raptor training scene in the first jurassic WORLD film. The STAND DOWN 🤚🏼 scene. In broad daylight, raptors moving slowly towards owen one would think that it would be easier to make the dinosaurs look real!
But NO...... Even in night-time scenes in the original films, the CGI was done RIGHT, looked more convincing than ANYTHING in jurassic WORLD)
      That's what I think

Had I been born at a later time (born in 1989) , at first I would probably think that Jurassic WORLD looked "cooler" because there was more dinosaur action.
Eventually, I would have probably realized that the original films looked more REAL....mostly because of the Animatronics. And I would realize that the CGI also looked more convincing.

@Times6ix the second book was much more violent than it's movie adoption, honestly if they had added more from the book into the movie it would have been rated R instead of PG-13.
Also all the dinosaurs in the first movie were originally born on isla sorna because the park was still being built on isla nublar when the park was ready they then moved them into the park like at the beginning of the first movie.

There are two main islands site A and site B. The first movie was site A the island for the park its self site B is where they brought the dinosaurs and attempted too do a park that failed. In Jurassic World that’s site A they made a new park and the kids in that movie found the old original park. In JP3 they were on site B

This was hands-down the best sequel in the franchise. Jurassic Park only had 14 minutes of dinosaur action which is what made the story phenomenal. Because they relied on everything else to be fantastic as well as the dinosaurs. Plus world brought us more dinosaurs which they needed to do, and it brought us a darker film and it brought us probably the best character in the entire franchise in Roland tembo. The stuff on the island I would give a 9 out of 10. Compared to Jurassic Park 10/10, but as much as I love seeing the T-Rex in San Diego, it was sloppy. So I would give an overall 8 out of 10. But it's much better than all the other sequels.

The first two movies are gems in movie history. The quality dropped big time in JP3. That movie had the best creature designs, tied with TLW. Everything else sucked! JW tried to reinvent the franchise, but it fell flat thanks to Chris Pratt's awful dialogue, overall acting and him raising his hand. ✋🏼
Jurassic Park movies built up tension, had scary, near horror sequences and it worked best with just T-rex, Velociraptors and the Dilophosaurus. None of that is present from the 3rd movie on.
