    Hi Bob, really great to see you doing stuff with the Beier unit. I bought a Tamiya Euro mfc for my Scania, thought the sound was not great,so when i got a Grand Hauler got a Beier. It can do so much more than Tamiya mfc BUT its very complicated. Not really any vids on YT about using the Beier. So seeing you start with this is great,hope you carry on with further vids on the unit,your vids are so easy to follow and you really enjoy what you do so this makes them great to watch. I just hope its not on Face book more than YT. Not everyone likes FB .

      Yes, I will doing several more videos on the Beier with a focus on each part like how to hook up, how to make lights programming etc. Don't worry all my videos will be on You Tube! Thank you for the feedback!

    It would be fun to see an RC ice cream van, as it could make good use of this kind of sound system

    • @mikehart4083
      @mikehart4083 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now that would be good. Go out and record the sound of your local ice cream van.

    Okay now this has me interested in a sound unit. Because I dislike the stock sounds they come with, mainly due to the fact the engines never sound like they are in gear with any load; they all sound like someone reving the engine in neutral to me. And the light functionality is really impressive.

    Many thanks for another great video Bob. I'm still looking into RC model trucks and what is available to purchase. I have only Built static 17th and 18th century plank on rib ships but would love to get involved with some RC truck and construction models. Thanks again for you videos they are a great inspiration to get started in RC model building.

    That is really cool. Less expensive than the MFC with more options... I do believe I will order one at some point. Bob, will you be stocking these or should we order direct?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am going to work on becoming a dealer and stocking these. It is not really cheaper than the MFC because many things are not included like the speaker and lights it is however more flexible.

  • @PhiddyPford
    @PhiddyPford 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    After building two rigs with the MFC, this looks intriguing.......BUT without leds how can I use the whole thing?
    You do stock the Mercedes 1850 curious on installing MFC03 vs BeierSFR 1 Need the install / build video please.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Many Beier videos coming! Will include lights etc.

  • @michaelchristianson3179
    @michaelchristianson3179 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. I wonder if you can install a second speaker so you can have the engine running and have music play or other sounds without the engine sound being interrupted?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You do not need a 2nd speaker. It integrates the sound so one sound is not cut off when another starts.

    Okay, I'm sold! Where can I buy one? I'm building a MAN Truck tractor and want one with all the needed parts as you have demonstrated. Thanks for all the information you provide. Just finished a Cascadia and followed your videos!

    How did you set the volume control to a knob?
    Asign knob to sbus ch9 in radio asign volume to prop 9 in sound teacher?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the sound teacher software the configuration general tab has a direct volume control box. Just set that to the prop channel you assign the knob to.

  • @barthutchison4207
    @barthutchison4207 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Will a Spektrum Nx10 work out of the box with sbus or is there an extra module needed? Any info is appreciated.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At first glance I don't see anything about sbus support on that radio. Keep watching my channel for more Beier videos and some new radio ideas.

    • @barthutchison4207
      @barthutchison4207 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me neither. There is a port on the radio for possibly mounting a separate module. I'll deal with that later on. Thanks again for your prompt responses.

  • @michaelchristianson3179

    Can this unit be used in conjunction with the Tamiya MFC so you just use it for sound only?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would replace the MFC entirely. You could use the MFC lights and speaker.

  • @volvodriverfh12

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC

      Just clipped the end off the coldstart sound file from Beier and loaded it into a separate sound location.

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC Hi friend I can still ask a question about the controls. Best private conversation. Send a link where I can write to you. I have SFR for 1 week at home and I still can't set anything up. I used Servonaut. Thank you

    The _ei_ in Beier is pronounced like an English speaker would _bye_ someone off ( "See you later, bye!" ) and not like "Beer(er)" 😉
    My *#36208** Gepard 1A2* ( th-cam.com/video/mQoMBXOMWdY/w-d-xo.html ) uses a *SGS-Electronic.de* TVC-TRF-10-AAT
    which is similar but, unlike the Beier ones, a little less customizable.
    According to the Beier manuals for Tank models ( I consider buying an SFR-1-D for an E-100 custom build ), I should be able to program my own LED/Recoil firing frequencies, servo directions/degrees which makes it very easy to make custom tanks even ones that might not even exist - Think Warhammer 40k and the likes - whereas the SGS-Electronic modules can only accept predefined configurations ( MBT, PSO, Halftrack, Pioneer/Recovery, etc... ) where you then must work the mechanics based on predefined servo angles = _"3.6 Roentgen, Not great, Not terrible"_

    Video was confusing. you seem to keep refering to steps you did not film or include.

    I'm sorry, too many ad breaks. I lost all continuity at around 20 minutes in to this video. An ad break every coupe of minutes made this a waste of my time.
