Great video, thanks! One quick tip: at 13:13, you're talking about needing to rename the .EPS files. On Mac, you can select all files, right-click on one, and select "Rename X items..." to batch rename all at once. On the rename files window that pops up, just make sure it's got "Replace Text" selected in the dropdown, and then you can enter the part you want to replace here ("Logo Sheet_") in the "Find:" field, then enter the text to replace it with in the "Replace with:" field ("Dansky-Logo-"). It's a lot quicker for lots of files.
I just found this video today and it has been really helpful. I was very occupied and needed something that would solve my problem really quick and this video was the answer.
Thank you so much! That is SUPER helpful!!! When you are self-taught it is so confusing as to what to present a client within a logo design! This template/package will be the best thing ever! :)
You can copy a logo on an arrtboard, select a diiferent artboard (with the same size) and and use paste in place to position it at the exact same spot. Much quicker, you dont have to drag the duplicate to another artboard and use the align options.
Thank you soooo much! Your many instructional videos have guided me in making my own business logo. And this one was the cherry on top! Thanks again!!!!
Hello, just came across your channel. Thanks for the video. I was just trying to figure what context you would need to send each file format to send to the client. E.g. things like the different screeens and different sizes.
Hey Orincy! If you're referring to the 1x, 2x, 3x scaling options, this is often used for mobile design, exporting the same assets multiple times at different sizes, to be used across different devices. For example, a developer may use the 3x assets for a larger display and the 1x assets for a smaller one. It's essentially double and triple the size of the original asset size.
Depends on the client/project Solomon. If the design is being printed with spot/Pantone colors, yes you'd need to get the closest match and provide color-separated files to the printer.
There's so many ways 😀 You can do it manually in Illustrator, buy a Pantone book, or use sites like this where you enter your CMYK values and it gives you some close matches www.ginifab.com/feeds/pms/cmyk_to_pantone.php
wow! Super Helpful! I just watched your video and tried to follow the instructions. But when I open the Logo Sheet file, It says that "The document's embedded color profile does not match the current CMYK space. The current CMYK color management policy is to discard profiles that do not match the working space." I would love to go past that and use your brilliant idea! Please help me. :D
Thank you so much for this! It's been super useful to me. Could you please do a video on how to create linked Artboards/ files/ vectors in Ai CC? I like your file a lot, but I want to create my own with differently shaped art boards! I tried following the same process for CMYK (wanting print & web) but I don't want to use "Export for Screens" I think it lowers the ppi. Ended up using FILE>Save As for my CMYK files. Is there a better way?
Hi Dansky! Recently found your channel, have found all of the videos I've watched so far very informative and easy to follow. Love this tutorial and file, thank you! But... is there a way to customise the artboard sizes? I need to export some square logos. Thank you :)
Thanks Dee! Yes you can use the Artboard Tool (lower part of toolbar on left) to select artboards and then customise the width, height and position etc. from the Property Inspector on the right 🙂
Hi Dansky, Your Videos are always awesome and have something to learn from it, Thanks for sharing this information and file. i have one question if you answer, like how can i export transparent PNG and black and white with this type of process?
When I open the ai files, the program think it's a PDF and doesn't open all artboards. I have to choose to open one artboard at a time. Can someone help me please? I'm a newbie at illustrator. I'm using the CS6 version.
Thanks for great help! One thing though : I can't open the Logo Sheet file (which is a shame): I get a message about it being already opened and with unsaved modifications. Any idea what can cause this and how to import the file into Illustrator? Thanks a tone!
Had the same issue. I fixed it by saving the first window with 4 artboards (file: logo) and then closing it. When you open the second file (file: logo sheet) it should open nicely.
Hi, Can you help? I can not figure out where to change this particular setting when doing an Export As.. During an Export As.. and selecting Use Artboard.. My files always have _Artboard1 attached to the end of the file name. I've looked everywhere and can not figure out how to change this. At one point it switched, without my doing anything, to only _01 for a few saves.. but then reverted back to _Artboard1. I like to keep my files organized, and it takes forever to go back and erase _Artboard1 off the end of each file. I am working on only one artboard at a time. I need to save to the exact dimensions of that artboard, and sometimes there are elements off the artboard that I do not want to include. The files are going to print. Do you know how to change this so I can choose what, if nothing, is added on the end? I would at the very least be happy with just the numbers ( _01 ). Thanks!
Hello, is it really necessary to save a logo in different sizes? I mean once I saved it in various vector formats the client will be able to scale it the way they need best...right? am I missing something? Thanks
No need to align it every time, just select your logo, copy it, click into a different artboard and press command + B. I like your videos but I wonder why aren't you using any shortcuts?
The best way to watch a 2v2 match is by staring at the center of the screen and using your peripheral vision to see everything that’s going on. Thank me later 😌
Thank you, sir! That is very generous to drop it for free! Have a good time and be well! 🍀

@@ForeverDansky thank you ... makes sense .
You're the best man ! life changing
what if you have shapes or images in your logo?
Hi Dansky I am unable to open the logo sheet file?
What about for printing? Do we have to adjust the colors to Pantone or are they ok as is?
Depends on the client/project Solomon. If the design is being printed with spot/Pantone colors, yes you'd need to get the closest match and provide color-separated files to the printer.
@@ForeverDansky do you have any recommendations or tips and tricks on how to find the closest Pantone?

Thanks dude.
Thanks, just what I needed. I've learned how to use Illustrator (more or less) but I'm not yet familiar with the tricks to boost productivity.

Hi dansky! I’m a total beginner and love how your tutorials helping me. Can this method be done on adobe cs6?
You don't need to wiggle wiggle wiggle.. Just click on the artboard to activate it and use align..
Λ R U N R Λ J also, you can copy the object from one artboard, click on the another, and just click paste in place
In the Export for Screen, what does scale means under Formats?
If i remember good you had a tutorial to how create these type of linked artboard/files.. is there ? or can you make a tutorial maybe ? :)
i have samee query after watching tutorial.
Love you dansky
