That boot been around since the mid 70s....got my first in 1978.....love at first sight....no disrespect to anyone but that was a bit before hip hop....let's not rewrite fashion history....its just a great looking piece of footwear...perfect in every detail...so its no wonder it caught on but some of us older folks knew it a long time ago....
