I love how "Idols are overrated" and "People don't play their idols enough" are back to back. So poetic.
They’ve become over-rated, cause they’re no longer kept secret
They basically are thinking the same thing, either don't grab the idol or just play the damn thing
I think they have almost the same point
this cast has great orators
Sam said what I've lowkey been saying for years. 100000000000% agree with every word he said.
Andy wins my "Deep Survivor Reference Award" by using "orthogonal" in his answer (as a malaprop, no less!)
Somewhere Sylvia is askew with pride over this.
definitely gotta respect sam's hot take. everything he said was true. i mean you can argue until you're red in the face that players like aubry, chrissy, maybe even angelina we're all robbed, but the fact remains that the person that won, won because they found a way to get to the end and convinced jury that they deserved to win. you can also argue and say "oh, well he only got to the end because of some stupid twist." and that's probably true, but they still got to the end using the mechanics that were put in the game. i mean that's pretty much why it's called survivor. it's the idea of being able to survive and adapt to whatever is presented to you. it doesn't matter how you make it to the end, it just matters that you make it there and get the votes to win. that's why i respect sam. he's definitely gonna be respectable player this season
I totally agree that it would be fun to cast people that don’t know much about survivor. There’s too many big fans on the show now.
I always love seeing which Survivors don’t understand what the term “hot take” means lmao
"Holding an idol is orthogonal to your win equity." Thanks for making me look up a word...
Was this filmed before the game started?
Disagree Entirely: Aysha, Sue
Literally Couldn't Have Said it Better: Caroline, Kishan, TK, Genevieve, Jon, Kyle
Yeah You Make a Point: Everyone else. :)
Sue simply said she hates cold water. How is that something you disagree with?
mike, you are a legend
They are all hitting the hammer on the nail!
Hopefully there's more strategic play than last season.
Rome, Sam , Kyle. Can we have that Final 3?
Rome and Sam definitely had the hottest takes
well the Russell take is shared with another player on the cast and sams take is very hot but I think we can all think of a player who actually got robbed so its just baloney but I agree with Rome that Russel is one of the best or the best player to never win . doesn't mean I agree with his lifestyle or personality
@@sobpferg I was talking more so about how Rome doesn’t respect Yul’s game
I think Andy’s is very true tbh. Like that kid seems to know his stuff
Here only for Lovett.
Him and caroline had a similar point excited to see if that means they are working together or against each other
Kishan, Jon and Gen I’m rooting for cause of this
Agreed with to 1000000000 percent
I actually agree with Aysha I really liked the phrases I also really agree with Tiyana Liz's blow up really rubbed me the wrong way. Also Sam's takes are crazy lmao
Hot take; Most of these are not hot takes. People should be playing their idols. I hate final four fire making. Making big moves just to have something flashy on your survivor resume is stupid. Survivor fans have been saying this stuff for years.
I love Kyle’s take. Idk how hot it is, but generally most of my best finales involve at least two real viable players
This... Is ... My wet dream 😂.TH-cam Know it Alls thinking they got this game bc they watched and vlogged. Its gonna be glorious. John, Ashya, lets see who you really are. Rooting for ya, but. 😂😂
Okay I like Gabe a lot
so Sam includes the last minute twist that got Ben the win?
I could not agree more with the Russell Hantz take. He single-handedly, as the only strategist within his group in Samoa, overcame an 8-4 disadvantage and got everyone he was working with towards the end.
In HvV, less so, but his ride or die still made it to top 2 and someone from his original tribe still won.
Sierra saying she wants the "live tribal" back 1) without realizing "live tribal" means people strategizing at tribal before the vote and 2) meant live FINAL tribal because "selfishly" she wants to be able to hug her family when she wins... makes me think she's going to be a pre-merge boot.
11:00 Kyle I agree we need a 4-3-2 jury vote
YUP Sam spitting facts
It's really easy to say you were loyal to the alliance you took to the end...when you had an alliance with EVERYONE!
Rome has a super hot take actually!
L take
@@erikacode Hot takes aren't always good opinions, I also disagree in some aspects, but it's the most inflammatory and controversial opinion I think so it's definitely a hot take
Kishan holy based
I think Tiyana overlooks that 1) because she's been food-deprived, she expected the other players to bring her on a reward since that's her only opportunity to eat. And 2) The production advertised her favorite burger so she felt it was determined by production for her to go and make the company they were product placing feel they've got their money's worth. Yes, it doesn't mean she's entitled to go but it's not as simple as her saying "I love ramen and they are getting ramen at this reward." She had talked about her love for Applebee's during casting so production knew she had an affinity for it.
You've basically defined her entitlement! The producers putting in her favourite reward doesn't entitle her to receive it, she's got to earn it. Her hunger over the days doesn't entitle her to the pity of other players, to have them hand her a reward!
@@marriage_enthusiast I knew someone would comment this. I wasn't arguing that Liz wasn't entitled. I was arguing that it's not the same thing as her not getting a reward for her favorite food ("I like ramen but if it was a ramen reward, I wouldn't get mad.") My point was that she was upset because she felt the reward was designed by production specifically for her and she expected her cast mates to have sympathy given her circumstance. The same reason they let Johnny Fairplay get the loved ones visit because they thought he had just learned his grandma died.
Yul did a lot his alliance could’ve flush the idol but they didn’t due to his great SOCIAL game
It took two years for Lovett to get to his point.
I mean he’s a former speechwriter and he talks for a living and he said big complicated things lol
Gabe gave a good take to be very honest.
It's really easy for Russell to claim he was loyal to the alliance he went to the end to... when he allegedly had an alliance with EVERYONE!
Finally people give credit to Russell Hantz. He 100% deserves the win in Samoa. And Hot take: Russell in HvV had the best performance to get to the end of any player ever to player the game of survivor.
None of these are hot takes. “39 days is better than 26” is literally the most popular Survivor opinion. “I hate final 4 firemaking” has been repeated ad nauseum as has the bullshit about “big moves are bad”. This video puts this cast in a bad light. Seems like they’re just pandering to crazy redditors that hate Survivor and Jeff Probst because it’s different from Season 1
Saying none is hyperbolic here. There were some hot takes.
7:06 youre wrong about jesse
if there wasnt firemaking im sure jesse would have been voted out
I disagree Jesse wouldn't have even needed to make the Cody Blindside in the first place if firemaking didn't exist Jesse would have more opportunities to cut Cody before the end if Firemaking didn't exist
@@qu4ry529if he didn’t vote Cody out, Cody would have won.
@@qu4ry529That means Jesse risks Cody winning final immunity instead, meaning even if he males it yo the end, he's up against someone who likely beats him.
New era Survivor is barely watchable. Weak players who eat more food than I do at home, yet whine and cry like they're being tortured and starved to death. Almost zero strategy, just scramble, scramble, scramble before every tribal council. Far too many easily found idols and advantages that throw monkey wrenches into the gears of any organic storylines. No more auctions. No more loved one visits. No more live finale. Just a bunch of people doing dumb shit like voting out their number 1 for their "resume."
I could go on and on. It's terrible in every possible way.
