    I just think that k-pop stans now really forgot that idol is a human not a robot, good thing i see every idol as a human being and i admire them all.

    The thing with Sakura is that the bullying about her singing skill didn't just started, this went from P48 (she said so in their first docu)
    She is trying to improve and that takes time but kpop culture is so fast and ppl have NO patience (even less with women) I mean she didn't knew how to dance 4 years ago and now is in one of the best performance in the industry but no one talk about it they just point out the only flaw she has as an idol. I know we joke that idols are God/desses but they're humans and humans fuck up (a lot) so we as fans should be more realistics with our expectation

      Sakura's been doing this for a decade now.
      How much longer are people expected to wait for her to improve?

      @VivieHQ-iw3sm I WAS a fan.
      Which is the entire point.
      As soon as I heard their encore stages, I tossed out the two albums I'd bought.
      Any group that can't handle the colossal task of a simple live stage is dead to me.

      @@riffgroove you are clearly not a fan. Or at least you just want to repeat what other people say. "Doing this for a decade" is always y'all excuse when we all know the J trainee system is diferent for the K one. Japan & Korea are different countries with their own customs, culture & music styles. And I repeat WE ALL have different learning speed. If you don't want to stan a group then don't but don't go aroung getting offended over someone not meeting your expectations

      @palabrasenllamas1877 Sakura won me over during Produce 48 because out of all the Japanese trainees, she seemed to be one of the only ones with a genuine desire to become a better performer.
      That was 6 years and two groups ago. No improvement whatsoever.
      I'm done with her. AND the rest of her untalented group.

    Also in the nicest way I can, I wish these kpop stans learned that korean companies shouldn’t be limited to only making kpop groups

    • @DSQueenie
      @DSQueenie หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. What gets me is when people start saying it’s cultural appropriation. Who are we to tell a Korean company what they can and cannot do with their time and resources?
      Plus if we wanna talk cultural appropriation we can talk about it but I don’t think K-pop is gonna come out looking so good in that conversation! 😅
      At the end of the day SM Entertainment want to make money and the British market is somewhere that loves pop music. It’s a no brainier.

    I'm glad Kep1er will continue as 7 and YeShiro in Madein. Yeah, it was sad to see them no longer be OT9, but the alternative would have been way worse. At least we have another group to stan ^-^ It was nice seeing you guys on this lovely Wednesday (I couldn't watch this yesterday :( + Your guys's hair is so cool

    The fear isnt from normal nervous to perform in front of people. Its from the hyper critical nature of being a k-pop idol. Jeon Somi has also previously highlighted a fear of singing. When doing the unnies girl group she spoke of this.

    Somi has really grown a lot since joining the black label. Her vocals got stronger and she gained a lot of her confidence back that she lost after ioi. The issue I have is that Teddy has not really allowed her music to reflect that growth. I need to know why she has yet to really establish her own sound with a more mature feel. I think people forget that she is not the same 15 year old from sixteen and produce. Like c’mon where is the R&B album?

    Clearly Sakura isnt also having the best safe guarding, if she was looked after better mentally, able to deal with and have blocked out the negative media coverage from negative comments.

    The thing I think is most disappointing about Somi’s Ice Cream is that, not for the first time, it feels like the label has produced a cheap version of something they already did with Blackpink.
    It feels lazy, and lacking in individual care for Somi as an artist, which is odd because they have seemingly put in that effort in the past with tracks like Anymore.
    Everything about Ice Cream is lazy. The theme is dated, it’s full of cliched sexual innuendo and the MV looks budget.
    The only thing that saves it in part is the sheer force of Somi’s personality, which shines through regardless. She delivers it the best she can and her natural charm takes the edge of some of the cringe.
    Somi is such a talented performer I hope they give her more for the supposed actual comeback to follow.

      To me, Somi adds to the cringe. But because I have a huge crush on her, my bias to her negates anything negative. Even her interactions with male actors in her MV is convincing. Somi's Ice Cream is better than Blackpinks in my opinion.
