I’ve carried on the NorthFace L duffel for decades

I used the Patagonia duffle for years as a carry on and amazingly got away with it as a carry on about 80% of the time. Great bag, but for my traveling I wanted more organization and guaranteed carry on.

Looks like a good bag, but I can see having trouble getting it in the carry on bins on some smaller commuter planes...

I haven’t had any issues. The plane from Oahu to Kauai is a smaller plane.

In Europe with Ryanair or similar low cost airlines you have no chance, for long international flights you are gonna be ok

Does it fit under the airplane seat if it’s not stuffed? Or is it too long?

Yes it does. I typically have it stuffed and have a no problem putting it under the seat. The less stuffed it is the easier

Thanks! I just bought it. I’m glad you said it fits under the seat, because just eyeballing it...it seems too long haha. We’ll see. I plan on using it mostly with the shoulder strap. Thanks for your help.

I have one like this, it measure total of 44" total dimension, depends on the airline usually a personal should be less than 39" total dimension.

It does not look like they sell the 45L anymore? They have a 40L and a 50 L on their website. Is the 50L too big for carry-on?

Yeah, I don't think they sell it anymore because I have been looking for one. 😢 ebay is my next choice unfortunately.
