Excellent advice for people in the market. when speaking of rust, make sure your drain holes are all clear. Check them periodically, The ones at the rear right behind the doors are MOST important!!!! It will cause that rear fender to rott out and rot out faster than you'd think.
As far as I know the rear main seal is a $40 part, but you’ve gotta drop the gear box and remove the clutch to get to it. Better to replace the clutch at the same time because if one needs replacing the other won’t be far behind and you don’t want up,pay for the labour twice. The water pump gets replaced at the 100,000 and 200.000 km services. I’m at 128,000 km with it replaced at 110,000 km.
@BuiltByKyle Which of these engines would u recommend/ keep away from? I’m looking specifically at the pre-facelift NB mazda MX5 (so like 2005 or older) Any tips?
But then have pop up headlights, and that can’t be easily dismissed. I loved my NA. I traded up for a new 2003 NB which I still own, but I will always miss the pop ups and the dinky external door handles.
i have been waiting for this video

Thanks for the video Kyle! What do you think about Mazdaspeed MX5's? SE's as we called them in Aus
They are great cars, not too much goes wrong with them either!
also the 1.8 is shitter
replacing water pump ain't cheap...come on champ its not data hard
Why is that ??
@@BuiltByKyle 1.6 REVs better and just a better engine in general even if the wobble is present still shits on the 1.8
dont buy a drift mx5
Hahahahhah

you need a duck collab shirt for sure!
the Na mx5's are overrated asf in my opinion
