This was so relatable! I took a while before I decided to put an application in as well during my undergraduate, and I don't think many people are outspoken about taking the time for yourself and making the right decision because of the pressure to get vac schemes and training contracts. I also chose modules I found interesting rather than doing subjects that I thought would 'look good'. Taking a step back and deciding whether it was something I really wanted to pursue was definitely so beneficial for me and made me really figure out what kind of law I wanted to do, what firms I actually saw myself working at and I also allowed myself to apply to firms I didn't think I had much of a chance at and managed to get a TC at my top firm.
Thanks so much for speaking about this as I wish there was a video like this out there back when I was really struggling with this two years ago!

Ranabanana, firstly thank you so much for taking the time to watch and respond to this video I am so glad it resonated and to know someone else went through a similar relatable experience. At the time it very much felt like I was the only one going through it.
Also congrats on securing a TC at your top firm! Hopefully, others reading this comment are encouraged by your story as well to take their time and not feel that pressure. And the most important point that you make here that I agree with is sometimes you have to allow yourself to dream big, don't write yourself off you never know if you will win unless you try.

I can totally relate to your situation Lorraine. I graduated as a law student, went to law school, worked in a tech startup as a legal officer and I currently work in a tech consulting firm as an IT consultant, set to do my masters in law tech by September, hoping to combine my knowledge of everything in the future. Thank you for this video once again ♥️

This was such an amazing video, Lorraine! I completely agree with the application detours as I had to make a similar choice at the end of 2nd year - focusing on my grades was the best choice! This law game is so daunting and 100% wish I was in the era when Linkedin wasnt as popular 😂 Looking forward to part 2!

Thank you for taking the time to watch as always Faustina! And I totally agree, law school was hard enough without having to see updates online as well, I can only imagine the new pressure this now presents. But super glad that you were able to make that decision for yourself and focus on yourself 🙌🏾
