Loving your videos. I get more from your 5 minute videos than watching hours of Stahls videos. Near the end you put a corner into some machine, What does that do? and what is it called?
Wow! Thanks for the huge compliment, I don't know the right name but we call it a corner rounder just to make it easier lol. It prevents the magnet from falling off from vehicle when driving down the freeway. If you consider getting one, make sure is big enough, the one we have is kind of small. Thanks a lot for watching!
Hola!
We had the same issue, we stopped using transfer to apply backgrounds. You should get Rapid tac if you don’t have yet to avoid bubbles, it doesn’t get rid of them 100% but you will see a difference.
Is it really profitable? three persons working on a small sign. You can't do it by yourself?. You used water to stick the black vinyl... can't you stick it dry? maybe by using a long squeegee. Wetting it might be time consuming. Just asking.. But the video still gave me a good idea.. thanks.
Hello! It is profitable for us, most of our income comes from stickers directly to cars, we sell small products but we don’t really advertise them that much since we don’t make as much but it is good to have other products to sell when we aren’t busy. Yard signs and shirts aren’t very profitable and are time consuming but again is better to have other products we can offer. I could do it by myself but there was no point just having people around watching, it could be applied dry but you end up with a lot of bubbles, personally I think is faster this way since we don’t have to worry about popping bubbles. Thanks for watching and hope this helps. We are just showing people what works for us but we have so much to learn and I’m sure we will keep making mistakes but it is the only way to get better.
We went to a couple local shops and were surprised by their high prices 😅. Before we used to do 25 each sign but now we do 3 signs double sided and 1 - 2 colors for 99 dls
It is a corner rounder, it supposedly prevents the magnet from falling off when going at certain speed. The one we have we got it from amazon but is way too small. Someone else told me about a corner chomper that he got from amazon and told us it worked just fine. Our email: guitarrist03@yahoo.com
Wow! You should consider checking out gotprint.com this is where we usually get big quantities, last time we ordered 12 signs, we paid 8 dls ea with stakes included, I'm sure you will get a better deal for that quantity, they print the design directly to the sign. Now if you end up making them yourself, will they have design on both sides? I would definitely get the bigger rolls of vinyl 24x50 yard. I will link to a short video where I talk a little bit about ordering yard signs from gotprint. th-cam.com/video/IX5Id8zoTm0/w-d-xo.html
Do not use water!! Learn proper technique to lay vinyl. Water is not ever needed. If sometimes a chemical will help on larger piece (larger meaning longer than 96”). The chemical you need is called rapid tac. It will basically cause the adhesive to not be sticky until it dries and then it will be sticky again. I applaud you for starting your own thing but please practice and learn proper techniques. This is a trade for me that I take pride in and want to see others do it properly as well
Totally agree! We use this method if we only need to make a couple of magnets but for bigger orders we outsource them (magnets and yard signs). We get them from gotprint.com but they take around 8 - 10 days to arrive.

Another interesting video 👍
I appreciate it brother! 🙏
I get major bubbles laying vinyl for backgrounds. I used to put transfer tape on it first and that made it a whole lot worse.

Are you using oracal filings ?
Yes, we use Oracal 651 for most projects👍

What program are you using for the designs?
Hello! We use CorelDRAW X6. Thanks for watching 😎
What transfer tape do you use?
Hello Carlos! We used RTape clear choice AT75
How much do you charge for the yard signs? Single color? I'm having a hard time pricing them.

Hey Joshua! Thanks, this is an older video before we started using rapid tac, we keep learning new things every day.
This would be hard work if a client needed 10 or more..
