I started some years back with a used Silhouette Cameo 3 and still use it even now then i got a used Graphtec CE6000 -120 which i always keep a new cutting blades for both machines and another thing is get a good software they ain't cheap but well worth it as you grow and a lot of my business has been built up on the way RDI show us how to do thing so big call out to you brothers thank you .😁
Hey thanks for showing this I just bought myself a cameo 4 yesterday LOL I also have a 34 inch vinyl cutter but it's not that great for printing and cut I have a Cricut but the program is very basic you're limited to certain things and plus you can only do vinyl that is 12 x 24 the max I've been watching your videos and I decide to buy a cameo and sell my Cricut I tried my first printing cut on the Cameo and it works a lot better than the Cricut and there are days that I don't want to use my 34 inch vinyl cutter I wish my Cricut could cut longer pieces but I'm really happy with the cameo now I love watching your videos it's really educational thank you and keep up the good work
i love your content, i have my first van job coming up,friend of the family, i currently have a cricut, used it for years but cannot do big jobs, would you recommend a bigger 28" cutter, for speed and ease as i already have rolls of 50" vinyl im thinking of getting the pix max budget to begin? i notice the cameo uses smaller rolls so my current rolls would be too big for it? cant decide what upgrade to get at the minute. keep up the good work and content . thanks
We can’t recommend one that we haven’t try however we encourage you to look at ratings from other consumers and also look for vids about its cons and pros we heard from other that the cameo 4 pro which is 24 inch cutter to be good for bigger projects
@@RDIdecals I thinking to go with the cameo 4 plus , do you know wether you can cut long decals without the mat using vinyl with a thinner backing sheet? Or do you need to buy the vinyl with a lot thicker backing, like on the cricut it’s called smart vinyl which is a lot stiffer then the vinyl I use with the mat.
@@RDIdecals Thank you.. I was also looking at the US Cutter SC2 28” & the HPN Vinyl systems 28”. Looking to do Yard signs & decals…. Should I just stick with the cameo? I heard mix reviews about the SC2 & HPN… Thank you guys… you guys are awesome!
Do you guys layer the multi color decals on top of each other? Doesn’t that look weird or feels weird because the letters are higher ? I don’t know if I explained right what I mean but I hope you guys understand it
We understood perfectly. You can definitely feel-see the different layers, the only time we try not to layer vinyl is when working with HTV vinyl since the top layers don’t last as long as the main bottom layer. You could do “SIMPLIFY” in CorelDRAW but if you don’t align layers 100% you will see a little gap where they didn’t align perfectly and this is the reason we rather layer them when using decal vinyl. Hope this makes sense, thanks for watching!
@@RDIdecals thanks for the answer. Do you guys prefer layering over printing on vinyl? I think layering is way less expensive. Because you don’t need ink and don’t need a vinyl printer. Curious about your opinion

Never tried those but sound handy
@RDI the Ricoma is a 29 inch cutter similar to your graphtec...the cricut is similar to your Cameo
Good educational video to what you vinyl materials and cutter machine you can use to maximize the business, profit and time.

Nice! How do you price or charge the clients ?
We have a calculator made by us that we use to price this type of projects we have videos in our channel on HOW TO PRICE CAR STICKERS by RDI
Do you guys recommend the cameo 4 24”?
We never used the 24 inch but we heard great things we like our 12 inch silhouette
