Love it! I’ve seen that material you used in your shower before and was completely against it. But after seeing it and hearing why you chose it….its a no brainer. It’s so beautiful and it looks so easy to clean.
Nice. I did a shower conversion a couple of years ago. I had West Shore. I forgot all about a seat/bench so I got a teak stool from Hammacher-Schlammer. I got marbled Subway tile with a cream floor. Sliding doors with towel racks, three shelves and two safety bars. I love it. It took 6 hours for installation.
Re-Bath did our bath a few years ago. Could not have been more pleased. We have recommended them to friends and family. A great, professional company! Your new bath is awesome! ❤
They really are! I was so impressed with how quickly they got the job done and the quality of work. Great decision in hiring them for the shower renovation.
Wow, it looks great! I know you must be very happy with that shower, what an upgrade from that cramped one you had. I love the fixtures you selected for the shower too, and that vanity mirror is over the top 😊. It will be neat to see what you’ve done with the bedroom, I’m looking forward to seeing that soon.

What a great video. Love the changes. I have a handicapped shower with a seat but no place to put shampoo, body wash etc. Also badly designed (small) towel holders which will basically hold a washcloth but not a towel. My handicapped bathroom is only about 10 years old, designed before I bought the place. I've seen the paperwork for the reno, it was expensive. Also would need a huge oversized shower curtain which I've never found. And the worst thing is the door to the bathroom is a huge sliding wooden door which comes off its track easily. Renee, your bathroom looks absolutely amazing! The best decision you made getting rid of that tub - tubs are gross. I redid my bathroom a few years ago - flooring, paint, toilet and vanity; light fixtures and mirror. Turned my bathroom into sexy bathroom with a shower curtain with a silhouette of a man and a woman kissing; and a 24x36 framed art deco painting of a nude couple. I have black vases on my vanity. Very sexy bathroom! Lol I love my new bathroom. Congratulations to yours!! 👍👍
Omg I just commented on your other video and now watching this one and realizing you’re in Paducah!! I am in Fulton KY. I come to Paducah all the time! Such a small world!!!
Looks beautiful! I think your flooring looks great. I always thought I wanted a lighter bathroom floor and now that I have it, I miss the darker floor. The darker flooring did not feel like it needed constant swiffering. Now I dry swiffer mop at least a couple times a day rather than just once. 🙂🤷
Luv your new updated bathroom. Wish I could do it and remove my large hot tub although there is a large bay window around the bath area. Anyway ha. I did purchase the suction cups to hold the netted bag with rings that holds my granddaughter’s bathtub toys. Perfect. Thanks again for sharing. Enjoy that shower! 😊👍
Thanks so much! You can always close in the window. We did that with our kitchen remodel. We used to have a huge window over the kitchen sink...and it was off-center. Drove me crazy! When we remodeled, we centered everything up and closed in the window. Super easy honestly.
@@WelcomeToMyCurls wow really. Awesome. yes my other bedroom window lets in enough light or I could have a smaller window placed to the side of the shower. My late 1980s home has open bedroom with bathtub and sink on one side and toilet/shower in another space near it. Large bedroom. Thanks!
I've been waiting for this video! We really, really need to re-do our master bathroom. We've been in our house two months shy of 24 years, and we had the house built, so they put in just the "builder's bathroom". It's now got some dings in it and we just need to re-do it. I'm going to check and see if we have a Re-bath in our area and, if so, I'll definitely contact them. I had been thinking about grab bars and a seat and I definitely think we should go ahead and do those--I'm 69, my husband is 75, so we are definitely getting to the stage of our lives where we need things like grab bars and shower seats.
Go to the Re-Bath website and put in your zip code....each location serves a big area so there should be something close to you. We love having the seat!
Beautiful shower and bathroom makeover! We did our kitchen last year from September to February. I didn’t have a kitchen. It was a nightmare. I’m afraid to do the bathroom for it will take so long.
It looks really good. Not a project for a DIYer. The shower curtain? When it touches your skin while your in there? It's been years since that's happened to me.
It is NOT a project for DIYer...that's for sure! These installers knew their stuff and did it with precision and speed. That's the reason we hired them instead of an independent contractor. The price was on the higher end but worth it to us because of speed and convenience. And oooo that shower curtain....hated it! It would blow into the shower and touch my leg....freak me out!
It's so interesting how bathrooms are so personal to their owners. I am a bath person, not a shower person, so a large soaking tub with jets would be my #1. Hubby would want the shower, so if space wasn't an issue, I'd remodel to have both - or even better, his and hers bathrooms! Mine would always be neat and tidy, his would be a disaster. 🤣I'm too old to clean shower doors and have always hated them. They're pretty, but lots of work to keep them clean and scale-free.
I watch a couple of apartment dwelling vloggers in Japan and their bathrooms are not like ours in the sense that the tubs are only for soaking---- deeper but shorter, and operated through a control panel. There's no shower stall, but rather, a tile floor with a drain where a person stands to use a detachable sprayer as needed. The rooms have no windows but have heating and ventilation. Occasionally, an anti mold and mildew fogger is needed.
I know you can’t take up your existing floor because of the cabinets, but if you still want to change it, look into possibly putting a new tile on top of the existing tile. Sometimes that is possible (not always). I used to work in flooring and bath remodels and sometimes we could go over existing without having to demo. Anyway, just a tip if you still really want new floors.
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Thanks so much! I tend to over-clean and scratch the tub/shower. Can you use bleach from time to time to disinfect the feet area without causing any damage? Again, thank you!!
Did you have to pay a deposit before the installation was complete? Just curious because I have someone who is asking for half down, the rest due upon completion but taking about 11 days.
Hi! Yes...we paid a deposit then the balance on completion. If you are only hiring someone for labor and you are purchasing the products yourself, then don't pay them in advance.
I'd like to know the cost of removing old shower and tub with new large shower cuz I have the same and would love to do that. I would however make my old shower a closet for towels, etc. If you don't want to say I understand.
The main price factor is the size of the new shower you'll be installing. Our shower is 72x43. Basically anything over 60 inches wide is "custom" so the pricing and materials are significantly higher. But we had the space for it and didn't want to waste it. The style of glass doors is also a huge factor. If you stay under 60 inches then the back wall of the shower can be one piece of acrylic durabath keeping the price down. Since our wall was 72, we had to add the decorative tile band down the center. That meant an extra cost for the porcelain tile, grout, sealant and labor to install it. Re-Bath does not do drywall work, floors or paint. They simply tore out the old shower and installed the new shower. We hired other contractors to do everything else. My soon-to-be son-in-law is an electrican and re-wired my dressing area with outlets and hard-wired the LED mirror. He also did all of the drywall repairs for us. He did a fantastic job! To answer your question, count on a starting price of $15k for your shower renovation.
Oh we need this so bad our shower is small but the seats my husband can’t get up and Dow he’s got us ulnar dysfaphy I would love for him to be able to take a shower again❤️ I think moving toilet andgetting a small corner sink mayb with pitting a sliding door on and taking the other off we could work with it will they give you a price on one? This would be great! And I have a lowes card lol ! Is this real expensive?
The paint color is Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. It's the same color that's in our living room, foyer and my office. The darker color in my kitchen and dining room room is called Briarwood
Honestly, I don't remember. We put those fixtures up about 12 years ago. I still like them so we kept the fixture itself and just updated the glass globes and bulbs. The original glass globes that were on the fixture were trumpet shaped with a yellowish frosted finish. It made the lighting in our bathroom horrible.
The shower and new mirrors are beautiful. We just bought a 20 year old house and tore out showers, spa tub, counter tops and sinks. Our cabinets were similar to yours and we had them painted to make the whole room feel updated.
Renee, we have had a couple bids for tearing out our shower/bathtub and replacing with just a new shower. The bids seem high to me. Can you give me a ballpark of how much your shower project cost? Thank you.
Count on a starting price of $15k for your shower renovation. We priced Re-Bath and another contractor...and this was the minimum. The main price factor is the size of the new shower you'll be installing and the materials you want to use. Our shower is 72x43. With Re-Bath basically anything over 60 inches wide is "custom" so the pricing and materials are significantly higher. But we had the space for it and didn't want to waste it. The style of glass doors is also a huge factor. Then on top of that price, add in any flooring and drywall repairs...and also changes to anything else you'll end up doing (for us it was lights, mirrors and my dressing area). I could have turned the old small shower space into a linen closet which would have been much easier and less expensive. That's an option too.
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Ok, that was really helpful. Our project is only for a guest bathroom so our quote of $11,000 doesn't seem that far off then. And that price includes redoing the tile floor. Thanks a bunch. P.S. Your project came out looking fabulous! 😁
Nice!!! But... I know how it feels when you are not 100% satisfied. You can always have it redone to match the existing floor tile. Life is short.. get what you know in your heart you would like to have if possible...
So true! Maybe one day we'll redo the floors. We are talking about getting a new front door. Our door and window combo is going bad and the insulation sucks. That's our next big expense....yikes!
I do not care for those glue in plastic showers they look good from a distance but once your in it you can tell it's plastic and it's limited and the floor is always white. With tile you can custom it how ever you want and it's more cost effective. I can guarantee they paid around 30k for that shower alone, you can have a custom shower built for around 10k
You are absolutely incorrect on all aspects. The shower walls are acrylic...not plastic..and they look beautiful. I did not want ceramic tile shower walls with grout. To each his own...
The seat is fantastic! I pull it down to shave my legs then it's back out of the way. Plus it's soooo pretty! It's heavy and substantial...great looking.

Didn't change the toilet area at all
Nice!!!
Want…..gorgeous. I need that chair to shave my legs.
So do I. And I'm a male.
The seat is fantastic! I pull it down to shave my legs then it's back out of the way. Plus it's soooo pretty! It's heavy and substantial...great looking.
Just a note the owners bathroom is generally now called the main bedroom and bathroom. Master has a negative connotation. Ty for your show
Also not a big fan of bath tubs 😊
I hated all the long adds.
oh well.. me too. but we enjoy
Renee...
Hi Linda! TH-cam inserts those ads....not me. Just so ya know 😳
Tubs are kind of waste of space.
Good morning! Great job! I love all the changes as I’m sure y’all are enjoying! Have a great day!
Loving it!! Hot and sunny here today. Going to a BBQ Festival tonight...woo hoo!
At 9:22, what you refer to as blue stuff....my tablet shows as lavender. Is my Fire 10 in need of color adjustment ?
It's a bluish-purpleish color. Some could call it lavender.
Gorgeous.
Looks fabulous!
Thanks Missy!
