You are so fortunate. You could have ended up in an orphanage or the foster care system. @@ToraisaJI do genealogy and I have to say that some times, no answer is the answer. I have a lot of insane stories about my family and I will share just one. My great grandfather was an abusive alcoholic and when my great grandmother died, he sold his minor children. I had a cousin reach out to see what I knew about our family. My cousin was not adopted, but he was abandoned by his mother. I was aware that my grandfather found all 13 siblings and they were reunited. Toraisa, I just came across this video this morning and I feel as it was a divine appointment from God. I am 65 years old and I just found my family through AncestryDNA 2 years ago, that’s right I met my biological family at the age of 63! What a journey it has been and you are so correct that no matter what you want to know who your family is, I cried so many tears over the years! I have been married for 39 years and we have 3 daughters and six grands, I have taught for over 25 years and I would feel empty because the spirit of abandonment was in me my entire life because I didn’t, know who my family was.😢 Also I was never adopted I was in foster care my entire childhood, I didn’t think I was going to make it, but God......I have wrote a book; called “El Roi, The God That Sees Me” and will be published soon! I wrote my story and what I tried to hide from has healed me because I can now see God in my story. Thank you so much for sharing your story and I understand the tears! I pray that you and your biological family can write a new story of love and redemption! God bless you sis!
Wow! What a story. I hope you were about to get answers. 39 years of marriage, three daughters and grandchildren is awesome. I know you give them so much love. Congrats 🎊 on your book. I would love to read it. Even in difficult situations, there is a blessing…. Turning pain into purpose. Praying God continues to cover you and help you continue to heal your heart. Much love ❤️.
Very good video. It deserves more views. I'm happy that you found your biological family. Just more people outside of your parents to show you love. May God continue to bless you and your family.
TH-cam recommended you. I’ve watched the abandoned video and now have watched this one. You are so Awesome! I am so happy for you! Be encouraged for you are blessed!!!❤😊❤
This story is so beautiful and profound! It gave me chills and I shed a tear especially when you met your brother 🥲 I tell you all the time you are so strong and I look up to you. I know this is part of your therapy and thank you so much for sharing it with us all. You are a beautiful person inside and out, “forgive others not for them but for yourself” that wi forever stick with me. I love you friend ♥️
Awwww🥹 This is such a beautiful testimony. I’m so happy for you friend.❣️ I know this is something that you’ve wanted to find out forever. I’m so proud of you for having the courage to find YOUR TRUTH. ❤️
There is nothing wrong with wanting to know where you came from. I guarantee the people who tried to discourage you know who their birth parents are and they are wrong for trying to block you from knowing your truth. I'm glad you're sharing your story. You're helping others to heal.
I think it’s beautiful that in a way you were still raised via a family member (adopted mom being cousins with bio dad) and in a way maybe it was meant to be your ancestors are probably looking down proud of your adopted mother and father that they stepped up for you and your bio mom when she couldn’t
THERE'S too many people that don't want their children. Or abuse and reject them. This is not the child's problem, it's the parent's mental issues, and it's not fair that the victim should suffer for it. In your case, I think, it's made you a better person. Thanks for sharing
If your adopted mother is also related to you then the rest of the family grandparents included knew you were out there with another relative. Why wouldn't you been fellowshipped in. I know its painful but something still sounds amiss.May God bless and guide you.
DNA matches don't have to be much. For example, maybe 300 centimorgans which would be a second cousin. I have only met a few of my second cousins. Third cousins average a shared 100 centimorgans. You will have relative matches you don't know. what is was her adopted uncle had taken a DNA test, so he showed up as a match. Obviously, from what she said, it was not her adopted mom's sibling who is one of her bio parents. Even if a first cousin i of adopted mom's., she may have not known her cousin was pregnant if they concealed their pregnancy or if she was related to bio dad that he had fathered a child. obviously, the birth parents were not telling folks
Shame on those negative people giving negative comments! You are entitled to feel what you feel think what you think. All of us humans have those rights. We can encourage people . That is it. God bless you! Keep 🙂
I love these types of videos and yours is so unique in that the family that you were adopted into were you real family members and they didn't know. Geesh
I think that it was probably a huge blessing that you were brought up by your adoptive parents because they did a wonderful job raising you up to have a most beautiful heart. I imagine that you would have suffered more with your biological parents. You are so very kind and forgiving and are taking excellent care of yourself and your family. Your biological parents missed out on you. You are an excellent example to all. Thank you for sharing your story. It’s painful, but it seems that we receive a pain in our lives that is for us to transform our lives. We have to choose if we will allow that pain to tear us down or allow for transformation and growth. You chose growth. You are an excellent example for your children. Peace to you. Continue in love and grace. ❤

Your birth mother is so beautiful. Since you have children you know how it would be impossible to leave your baby and walk away....your birth mother must have really been in a difficult situation and she knew that she couldn't take care of you. Beautiful story.
That’s wonderful news for you that you’re related to your adoptive parents. As to where you come from, you DO come from your adoptive parents, in that they took you into their familial “tribe”, raised you according to their ethical and moral codes, and provided you with the fundamental building blocks to turn into the beautiful, pragmatic and wise woman you are today. I feel the same for my stepdad who took my mum and I in when I was five and provided us with security, stability and home but instilled in me with a moral compass while my mothers grasp of ethics and morals was a little more fragile. And i forgive my biodad for walking away because he couldn’t handle the prospects and responsibilities of parenthood, because if he didn’t my stepdad wouldn’t have come along.
You know you are loved and I am truly amazed by how strong you are! You don’t look like what you been through! I’m so happy you’re my little cousin! ❤❤

Congrats! This is amazing! I, too, found my paternal side of the family via social media 8 years ago. My sister, who is 6 years older than me, passed away in 2019-we never met in person. My brother, who is 5 years older than me, we have yet to meet in person. Watching you meet your brother made me think, dang... I really need to go to AB. My father passed away in Aug 2020 from Alzheimer's, we never met. In fact, I have never laid eyes on him, felt his embrace, or heard his voice. I am so happy they have welcomed you with open arms... I have heard some horror stories! You are inspiring! Stay Beautiful!

Years ago, I was told about a guy who worked in a dry cleaners with my last name (which is an unusual name). I called him and we spoke about 2 times, then agreed to meet. The first thing this creep said to me was ' you don't look like how you sound, I thought you were light-skinned!' Wow!

Thank you ❤ I will be dropping an update video soon when I get the strength.

Thank you for watching and thank you so much for your sweet comment. I really try to be a good person even in difficult situations.
Hi michael
You are a brave and very wise person❤
All I can say is Highly Blessed and Favored. Two families!
Awwww🥹 This is such a beautiful testimony. I’m so happy for you friend.❣️ I know this is something that you’ve wanted to find out forever. I’m so proud of you for having the courage to find YOUR TRUTH. ❤️
Hugs!! ThanK you friend ❤️It was so hard.. couldn’t stop crying but I had to do it. Love you 😘
There is nothing wrong with wanting to know where you came from. I guarantee the people who tried to discourage you know who their birth parents are and they are wrong for trying to block you from knowing your truth. I'm glad you're sharing your story. You're helping others to heal.
Thank you. It was my goal to help others.
You were right about needing a tissue, my eyes started sweating. You and your brother look alike 😍
Still can’t believe how we look alike.
I was adopted too. I totally understand everything you said. I also found my birth father's family on Ancestry. Much Love and hugs to you.
I hope you were able to get some answers finding your family. Thanks! Sending lots of love back to you.
I did! ❤️ Thank you
I think it’s beautiful that in a way you were still raised via a family member (adopted mom being cousins with bio dad) and in a way maybe it was meant to be your ancestors are probably looking down proud of your adopted mother and father that they stepped up for you and your bio mom when she couldn’t
You and your family are very forgiving! Your right forgiveness is for yourself!
yes, it’s for yourself ❤️ It stings but forgiving is a part of the healing process. Thank you for watching ❤️
THERE'S too many people that don't want their children.
Or abuse and reject them.
This is not the child's problem, it's the parent's mental issues,
and it's not fair that the victim should suffer for it.
In your case, I think, it's made you a better person.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching! This situation has made me a better person. I struggle some days.. but I choose to keep going. Update video coming soon.
@@peachygal4153 Maybe true but what I know of black people there is always someone in the family that knows all the biz.
Shame on those negative people giving negative comments! You are entitled to feel what you feel think what you think. All of us humans have those rights. We can encourage people . That is it. God bless you! Keep 🙂
People were very mean.
I love these types of videos and yours is so unique in that the family that you were adopted into were you real family members and they didn't know. Geesh
Gives me chills and makes me cry thinking about it. Thank you for watching!
Tears 😭🥹 Thank you. I realize as an adult I was and am very blessed. Thank you for this comment. Blessings to you.
🥺 I’m adopted as well, I listen to so many stories within the triad. Yours be far is the most unique, you were in the presence of your biological family this whole time. 🙏🏾 Thank you for sharing your story, you are so courageous. You are helping to change the narrative of black adoption. One day I’m going to share my story.
I know how difficult this is, the cycle of grief last for a lifetime. I wishing you healing, and continuous healing. 💕
(Let me finish this video and cry with you 😢)
Thank you so much for your sweet words. When you’re ready, share your story because it will help so many as well. It’s therapeutic for me when I share my story. So many have experienced abandonment and don’t know how to heal from it… but I am an example that with therapy and God you can learn how to move forward with your life and not hold on to the pain. Sending love your way ❤️
So wise and beautiful. I feel your goodness and it shines and will help so many that you meet.

I’m so happy for you and the strength you have. You’re a beautiful woman and you are giving so much to your kids!

I came across your videos today. Thank you for sharing your story and your healing. You are absolutely gorgeous! Keep smiling beautiful!
Thank you Kimberly for leaving this sweet comment ❤️

She is! Thank you so much 😊 I know I am doing what God wants me to do… seeing these messages.
Years ago, I was told about a guy who worked in a dry cleaners with my last name (which is an unusual name). I called him and we spoke about 2 times, then agreed to meet. The first thing this creep said to me was ' you don't look like how you sound, I thought you were light-skinned!' Needless to say, I spoke my peace and got out of his presence quickly and never saw him again. This happened in the late 90's.
Good that you never spoke to him again what a creep
