When I'm learning hard licks I practice them very slowly each day over and over until I get them down and can play them at tempo. Sometimes I'll work on licks for a few weeks till I'm comfortable with them. Cheers & keep on rockin' my friend :)

That's a really cool lesson. I love that "Freddie King" chord. So cool in "Hide Away." One thing others might find helpful is a list of a few songs to use for the various styles (box shuffle, jump blues, rockabilly, etc.) I know there are tons of songs in all these styles but one-or-two that might likely be called at a jam session so that a player could practice the head, maybe the vocal, then the solo and feel ready to play it with others. Just a thought I had...
